I have been eating and loving Chinese food all my life, I remember my mother loved real authentic Chinese food. The jumbo round deep fried shrimps where her favorite and where only served at the finest Chinese restaurants in San Gabriel valley. Like the golden dragon, and lotus garden It has taken me 20 years to finally find a Chinese restaurant just like those out here and its kam luns. I would say even better because they are so authentic they go back to China avery year during this time when its just to hot for them for a month or so and come back. They have been in the same spot for at least the 22 years that I have been out here and will go no where else .the restaurant is a little dated but thats because since covid 99% of customers are take out. There food is the best, there portions are large the prices are to be expected there not cheep but are able to keep there prices down because there in desert hot springs plus I think they own the building. Cant say enough about this place or obviously I can you want the best authentic Chinese food in the Coachella valley you have to try Kam luns. The last time I was there two other people where in there for pick up one from palm desert the other from la quinta so that should tell you. Always call ahead your order the wait is usually between 20-45 mins to get you order because they dont make it until you order it. ENJOY!!

Theres multiple employees in the Back but theres only one employee that comes out in the front; No matter how many people are waiting in line. One time I asked her for a water After purchasing my food and she took 5 minutes helping other people to finally get my water that only took 5 seconds to get. Why would someone help somebody else that knows is going to take 5 minutes Why the persons picking out their food place in in the bag with paper fork And ringing them up at the register while waiting for the person to pull their money out it would only took 5 seconds! for my water why did she made me wait 5 minutes for somebody else?!

The staff here are horrendous and absolutely will profile you. They pick and choose who they are halfway decent too and who they ignore and disregard. Unfourtunately i ended up being one of the latter.Our waitress walked over and didnt say welcome, hi, how are you, or anything just asked what we wanted to drink. We ordered an orange juice and a coffee and she wrote it down and walked away without saying anything. She brought our drinks out right away and asked if we were ready to order. I asked for 2 more minutes to look at the menu (they have a pretty large menu and lots of good looking options) and she just walked away again without saying anything. Almost *20 minutes later* (i asked for 2) she came back and pretty rudely asked if we know what we want yet...i ordered for my girlfriend and I, and again the waitress just walked away afterwards without saying anything. The food took forever to come out, and the orders were incomplete. Nobody came by to check on us, or refill our drinks. After 30 minutes of this I decided i had to go to the kitchen counter and ask for the missing items and a refill. They gave me an orange juice refill but it was clearly not the same as my first glass. It had a very, very light yellow color and tasted like straight up water. If they were out of orange juice they couldve told me instead of trying to sell that watered down garbage as orange juice and charge me for a second one. As for the missing items, i was told they would be out right away but we finished the food we had, waited another 30 minutes or so, and still nothing. During this time nobody came to our table to check on us, despite making eye contact with me as i tried to respectfully flag them down multiple times. The staff here literally ignored me. Didnt even send someone to deliver the check while we waited with empty plates for 20 more minutes. I tried to pull cash out of the atm so i could pay and leave but it was empty. i again had to walk up to the counter and ask for my own check so i could pay at the counter and leave. The waitress said nothing about the experience, the missing items, nothing at all. Just took my card, ran the payment, and walked away again without saying a word.Absolutely horrendous, awful service. I paid full price for meals that came without everything described, and orange flavored water listed as orange juice. The worst part is the waitress was smiling and talking to every other customer at the restaraunt, and checked on them multiple times. For some reason me and my girlfriend got singled out. This has never happened to me anywhere else, ever. Absolute disgrace of a staff and i will never come back.

Its crowded and hard to park. Carniceria is always packed and overfilled with cars and peopleLots of homeless living and hanging out there. If you stand out front its hard to tell if the business is open because of dirty windows, garbage all over . Theres a martial arts studio, never seen it open, an odd tiny .99 store, and 2 cell phone carriers, Terrible Chinese food place, they always say, sold out of what u want and Id never eat there again. And as shocking as it sounds, the employee/owners arent pleasant whatsoever. I love places where the employees are nice and smile.

This Shopping center is ok. There are a few stores here that offer fair pricing .The downfall of this shopping center is that it doesnt coincide with the people in this community Budget wise. Every community should have pricing that everyone in a community can afford. Otherwise what good does it do for the community. There are only 2 Grocery stores in desert hot springs .Vons, Stater Bros. The only store that meets the majority of peoples budget within this community is a Mexican Market. Rancho Grande. They are not a Grocery store, they are a market. The majority of there food is Mainly Mexican food . American food, if you can find some, is overpriced or almost always a day or 2 before the expiration date expires. Why would you put a restaurant that has a lousy burger, fries, and a soda for almost the same price as a gas bill.

Very very bad service the dishes changed the drinks half a plate of 4 pieces with 2 pieces they did not accept cards. the dirty toilets and the obligatory tip it took 40 minutes to serve and some dishes without rice in a Chinese restaurant. and the waitresses in shorts and flip flops, terrible

Where do I start? I booked through Travelocity and first time in my life decided to pay cash for the room upon arrival. Arrived a little later than check in on April 12th, 2019. Upon arrival, the front desk asked me for my payment immediately and $100 deposit. I went to the room 112 first floor, into an old smelly run down room. Wooden floors, with hair all over, stains on the covers, dust everywhere. Put my belongings aside and went to the restroom as I walked into the restroom a flipped over dead big cockroach. I still ignored it, told myself hey it's the desert it's possible. Looked around the room and opened the curtains and saw another door within the room with access to my room only from the other side with an empty jacuzzi that I can't get to, but it's in my room??!Went out into the city as it was Coachella weekend. Came back around midnight after driving around for Coachella and of course I went and purchased my own sheets to cover up the stains on the existing sheets. Laid down, attempted to turn on the TV that does not work, and here we go my body started to itch... I got up went to look for the front desk manager, as it does not exist. A security walked up to me and said is there anyone at the front desk, he replied “ yes me, I'm both security and front desk and night”. I mentioned to him that I think there is a bug problem he said he can't do anything have to take it up with the front desk manager in the morning. Following day I had to run some errands and came back to the disgusting room. In meantime the maintenance man Michael got intoxicated and is running in the hallways completely naked who I believe is the owners relative. And notice fleas jumping on the bed, bed bugs, and cockroaches, I guess turning on the light surprised them. Again went into the restroom and notice a lot more of these little creatures everywhere. I went to complain again and contacted Travelocity as I wanted to leave and get a refund. The security guard whose name is David, great guy by the way, mentions I can't do anything but give you another room the “owners” will only be able to give you a refund. I mentioned I want to leave and want my refund! In a way long story short I had to wait for the owners to arrive. I did not stay in the other room they gave me I ended up trying to sleep in my car. At 7 am I went to the front desk demanding to speak to the owners, since they are the only ones who are “able” to do a refund. Hours went by nothing, the girl at the front desk Angelica amazing worker, kept calling the owners who are upstairs in room 335 where they stay, kept ignoring the call. So she reached out to the general manager by phone whose name is Ella another amazing sweet hard worker. She said unfortunately the owners aren't answering and they are the only ones with access to cash to refund you. At this point I was livid because the owners refused to come speak to me. So I took my next step and went to the police station. As soon as my arrival to the police station, I mentioned to the officer I was trying to call the dept phone was busy but I have and issue with my hotel, and there he stopped me, and mentioned let me guess and named my hotel. Than later I found out that this area that the hotel is located in, is a very bad area flooded with gangs, crack heads, and theft, and transients. As the officer arrived they came to a conclusion to refund my money. I wait and I'm still not getting a refund. Hours go by and finally the owners show their face Charles and Christina who stay occasionally like I said in room 335. Charles says what do you want? Aggressively and tells me you're not getting a refund. And says what you're scared of bugs. No apology and try's to act like his piece of dump flimsy property which is falling apart is like a hotel in Monte Carlo. He wanted to see the bugs himself so we walked to the room, and sees it and starts to take pictures, and says what it's okay it's bugs it's normal, your house has bugs. A
