I just want to start off by saying staffs attitude is phenomenal. You enter the restaurant, and automatically you feel like your depression, rage, and hunger is thrown out the window. The best part about this restaurant are their prices, and the amount of food they serve you (by the way sometimes I can eat off the same plate for a whole week and still not finish it ?). I just want to say thank you to Danny for the great management ??. Thank you to Cheo, or I believe his name is Jeo. This guy is probably the most positive and funniest guy. He never displays negativity, and always makes sure to give the best customer service. Last time he was so nice, I had to leave him a $100 tip. All other workers are great as well. ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE ( not really a big deal but somewhat yeah) Last time I was using the restroom ( number 2 ) and some dude opened the RESTROOM DOOR. By the way I locked the door, but FOR SOME REASON THE DOOR LOCK DOES NOT WORK!!! I felt so intimidated. Overall recommend this place. Would have gave a 5 star review, but I still kind of feel stressed and weird about the incident that happened there.

Wow do not know if not the chef’s night. Ordered Kung Pu chicken, beef & broccoli and egg Rolls, cream cheese wontons to go. Bill was over $50 and as I am signing bill I asked that does come with rice? She stated no. Very taken aback. So that was an add on. What Chinese Restaurant does not Serve Rice with the meal? The chicken dish had next to no peanuts and the meat Was very oily as was the beef in the beef and broccoli dish. The broccoli was cooked perfectly. Still had a crunch to it but oily. The cream cheeseIn the wantons was dried out. The egg rolls tasted great! No napkins in the bag and no fortune cookies and no utensils. I don’t know? Was I to ask? Save your money and avoid this restaurant. I want my food to be palatable and taste good but this was not the case..

On Sunday afternoon, the line was very long. A young girl came out with a tablet and a credit card reader to get preorders and prepay to speed the process along. The half dozen or so customers waited near the register for our orders. Pretty soon, customers behind us that didnt preorder were just walking thru and getting their food before us. Finally, the manager came and took our receipts and started to fill our orders. He came back and put the food at the register and said 47. I said Im 47. I asked why people behind us got their food before us? He just said printer broke and walked away. Then the cashier asked, Show me your receipt! I told her that the manager took it and its in her hand! She finally handed me my food and I asked her if they put in dipping sauce for the spring rolls? She snidely responded, You didnt order any! It took me 25 minutes to get a take-out order. No one said Were sorry it took so long, nothing! No free drink or free meal, nothing! Not a word. This was the worst and most frustrating experience Ive had at Panda Express!

Traditional Chinese food. A little expensive and here they dont give egg roll or soda. But the food tastes good. Although more expensive than other Chinese restaurants, the plates or containers of the food do. Every time he makes them smaller.

Amazing portions but thats all you can expect. Wont be going back there at all.. My girl and I both ordered the combo deal to go. We didnt open our plates until we got home and sat down to eat. As I ate, I found a hair in my food, unfortunately until it was already in my mouth, and was so grossed out I couldnt take another bite. My girl continued to eat her combo plate, but she found something even worse.. she found a piece of drywall in her food and discontinued to eat any more. I am not exaggerating and I mean this in the most literal way. Yes a piece of drywall. We will never be going back to this restaurant again, and because of our experience here, we stay away from chinese restaurants all together.

So since moving from Whittier to Downey we finally set out to find our new Go To Chinese Restaurant today. When you Google Best Chinese Restaurants in Downey this place is at the top. Let me just say TOP it is NOT. On the good: the portion sizes are big, the chunks of Pork and shrimp in the fried rice were huge! The Bad: I have never had as greasy fried rice ever. When you can tip the styrofoam container and actually SEE the grease running? Thats Bad. The Beef lo mein was completely tasteless, no flavor at all. The noodles were just this side of Panda Express. Looks like well be going back to Golden Palace Restaurant until we can find somthing just as good closer to home.
