The Golden is a landmark Chinese restaurant in the heart of Fresno’s Tower District, celebrating 50 years in 2017. I highly recommend the pork combination plate. Delicious and the price is still surprisingly reasonable. Highly recommend for a taste of old Fresno.

Best Chinese restaurant around. While that may not sound like much considering how bad Chinese restaurants are in the Fresno area, this place is actually good. Prices are fair, portions are good and the food is great. Especially enjoy their fried rice. Wish they delivered more they seem to have limited hours but other than that I have zero complaints.

Crispy chicken- not crispy and no flavor at allCrispy Chinese chicken salad- chicken not crispy, lettuce is not crispy and dressing is creamy, Amerianized not authentic Chinese.. Chow mein is so oily and no Chinese flavor. This is the worst Chinese restaurant in Fresno! We will never go back or order here.

Done with this place use to my and my family favorite place now its down hill 1st off came in 8:50 the lady tells me they closing and to hurry to order since they are closing so to be nice I said its okay Ill just order to go since I had my one year old and we wouldve took to long I order everything we go over what I order 2 shrimp dumpling 1 fried shrimp 1 calamari and a egg drop soup she place the order I wait with my son finally get my food come home and my fried calamari is a freakin seaweed! seaweed I dont eat seaweed I call the lady tell her I didnt order this she tells me WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO ABOUT IT! well I wanted either refund or replace order I even told her Ill bring it back wont even eat it I cant I dont eat seaweed she said fine I dont wanna argue with you! one i wasnt even argue or being rude i just said hey wasnt my order and the lady before me was the one who order seaweed not me if i can change it or refund it back. I hang up she has the audacity to call me back and said I made a mistake I mark this and that but she wrote on the receipt fried calamari like really still had the receipt told her I can bring and again she said you know what Im not gonna argue with you you wrote this Im just saying your wrong. What kind of a service are you running 1st she rush me than she complain my baby running around I should watch him more and then give me wrong order then calls me tell me Im wrong! Freak that never coming here again imma kiss my money goodbye and make sure me and none of my family come here. I use to recommend people this place now I most definitely will tell everyone how horrible they are now. I rather go somewhere else with better quality good, accuracy food, and better customer service!!!!
