Yeung Shing

Excellent Chinese dishes, ambience being the best among all Chinese restaurants in the South Bay, fair pricing, friendly staff and super friendly owner - all these attributes contribute to my complete customer satisfaction. I have found a new haven for fine dining in South San Jose and the Los Gatos Area! Strongly recommend this place!

Tea Garden Chinese Kitchen
14030 Blossom Hill Rd, Los Gatos, CA 95032, United States
Not what I remembered from when I was a younger. Took my kids here tonight, ordered chicken fried rice, chicken chow mein, lemon chicken, and teriyaki chicken. Rice had burnt pieces of rice, chicken and egg, chow mein was greasy but tasted good, lemon chicken was way over cooked and dry even with the lemon sauce, and lastly the teriyaki chicken was breaded pieces of chicken which was interesting and probably would have been good if not for being over cooked until it was hard and chewy. Wasnt upset about the cost was just disappointed in the food.

Authentic Chinese meets Los Gatos presentation. Its good Chinese Cuisine, man! When you go in, you will feel like youre in a traditional Chinese restaurant, not typical Gatos resto. But fear not, your food measures up! Its legit!

Tsing Tao
15525 Los Gatos Blvd, Los Gatos, CA 95032, United States
One of my favorite places to eat. Today, one Saturday around noon, the restaurant is not crowded. I ordered salt and pepper fish($17+, mixed vegetables and hot and sour soup(ordered small size, enough for 4people). The dish is best for sharing as the portion is big(pricing is a bit high too) . This is not my first time here as I have been a customer for more than 12 years. They have hand made noodle and some Korean chicken dish. So far the many food Ive ordered have been consistent. Service is excellent, not that I come for it. But I just love the food. Would recommend for couple, family or big group.UPDATE: I visited the new location in Los Gatos on January 26 2024.The hot and sour soup is still the same with a good chunk of shrimp thats NOT rubbery, just like they made it in Campbell. Kkampunggi is still good, my young children loved it, although I preferred it dry. The dish was a bit saucy, but a good saucy. A bit far now from San Jose, but this is one of my favorite casual dine in Chinese restaurants!

Dolce Spazio Gelato
221 N Santa Cruz Ave, Los Gatos, CA 95030, United States
Upon first glance it didnt look like Gelato So I asked if it was slow churrned as Gelato is. The employees respond by saying they didnt know. It clearly isnt. We ordered four flavors, each the smallest size for $5!. Each one tasted watery. If you went to Safeway and bought the least expensive ice cream the stuff they serve here would be just below that. Sad, but it does say a lot about what is offered in Los Gatos. We ate food at a Vietnamese restaurant which was very well rated well and it was a thai-chinese definitely not Vietnamese .Glad I dont live in LG .

Pizza My Heart
9 N Santa Cruz Ave, Los Gatos, CA 95030, United States
It was my first time eating here so I was very excited, however when I entered I could tell it was very chaotic. All of the workers were very distracted and disorganized as I had a wait a long time to order my pizza. I had to repeat various times because the workers kept talking to each other and cutting me off to speak to each other about other orders and tasks. Not only that but when I went to pay the cashier ( a woman with tattoos and curly red hair) was extremely rude when my brother changed his mind about a pizza he didn't want to wait 10 minutes for. She gave us a glaring stare and had a really bad attitude and rude tone that it made it us incredibly nervous to even order something else from the menu . And yelled at us when she repeated the order. Since it was my first time there I asked if I could get a ranch and she yelled and me and held her hand up and said RANCH IS FREE!!! like if I had a asked a stupid question. Anywhere I got I always have to pay extra for ranch so I assumed I had to pay extra. After we ordered we sat down and I got one of my slices (Manresa) right away and but the other slice(ham& pineapple) it took well over 10 minutes and I had to get up and ask for it and they had forgotten about it. As I mentioned before, they were incredibly distracted when I was ordering. Overall, the pizza was 6/10 but the service is terrible.

Golden Triangle Cuisine
217 N Santa Cruz Ave Suite A, Los Gatos, CA 95030, United States
We, a family of 4 adults and a toddler stopped by Golden Triangle( Los Gatos ) this evening to grab a quick bite before heading home. We had been out all day and it was raining, we just decided to spend some time together at the restaurant. Let me start off by saying that weve been here multiple times and have never really had any issues. We have almost always enjoyed the food and the ambience. Not sure what went wrong yesterday. When we entered the restaurant and asked for a table, the staff at the entrance asked if he had a reservation ( we did not know we needed one, weve never really had to make one in the past), and we said we didnt. She was polite and did let us know that the table she was willing to offer was reserved for another party that was coming in an hour later and that we would have to leave by then. We agreed and she seated us. We sensed some irritation when we asked for a high chair for my toddler but we just brushed it aside as we knew that they were busy and were probably in a rush, we were provided one nonetheless. Next, I asked another hostess if there was a baby diaper changing station in the restroom and she snapped back with What changing station? I repeated my question with more clarity, this time around she just responded with No! Just a restroom! with some amount of irritation which again, I didnt think much of. She handed out the menu and repeated you dont have too much time to order, ok? The hostess that checked us in came back to take our orders and we did let her know that we were ready to place an order for our toddler and that we would be ready in a couple of mins to order main course for the adults. She got upset and started rushing us and said ok no, I was clear that we have only one hour for you, ok? You have to order soon and just then my 2.5 year old daughter reached out to shake her hand and said Hello, nice to meet you! (I have a chatty toddler and she was just happy to be at the restaurant), she withdrew her hand in annoyance and walked away and said that we would have to decide and that she would return in a few mins to take our order. This attitude, is something that I do not appreciate. Im not expecting every person out there to oblige and to reciprocate to friendly attitude from a toddler, but she neednt have reacted the way she did and we did not have to be reminded every 5 mins that there was a countdown. If they were super busy, they could have told us straight up that theyre not able to accommodate us, we would have taken a to-go. We, anyways were prepared to pack the rest of our meal closer to 7pm and head out in case we werent done by then. All, I want to say is that we arent paying less just because we have no reservation and do not have to feel obligated to anybody for accommodating us! Overall, the food was good but the service was pretty bad! Rude staff! I dont feel motivated to return here!

Loma Brewing Company
130 N Santa Cruz Ave, Los Gatos, CA 95030, United States
A friend was in town on business and wanted to meet me for dinner. We both enjoy craft beer, so Loma Brewing Co. was the obvious choice. It was a little too chilly to sit outside, there weren't any propane heaters, and the picnic tables didn't look inviting, so we opted for the dining room.We were anxious to try their house-brewed beers and we weren't disappointed. They always have ten or more on tap. You can choose the number of beers in a flight so he ordered three: “The Trouble with Tripels” which is a strong Belgian style ale, the unusual “Sour Sport”, which he thought had a very definite sour taste, and “Always Sunny in LG”, an Irish dry stout. I just had a glass of stout. We agreed that the stout was probably the best of the three, with the same creamy foam head as Guinness but without the heaviness. For starters, we shared the crispy fried Brussels sprouts which we thought had just the right amount of teriyaki glaze to cut the bitterness. I had the Wagyu Burger without cheese and he ordered the Roadhouse (Wagyu) Burger. Both were perfectly cooked medium-rare. The American Wagyu was more tender and juicy and not as heavy as ordinary beef. The fries were hot but not as crispy as we would have liked.Service was ok but not terrific. There was only one server for the mostly empty dining room and she seemed to disappear for long stretches of time. The biggest problem was the noise level. It was almost impossible to hold a conversation without shouting after the DJ in the bar started playing. My handy Soundprint app recorded a peak level of 90db which is deafening. (The average level for conversation should be around 70db.). We hadn't seen one another in a long time and really wanted to talk, so we would've walked out if we hadn't already ordered. In summary, this might be a good place to go with a group of friends if you're in a partying mood and want to hang out in the bar to enjoy a couple of craft beers. From our experience, the food, service, and atmosphere were just average.
