Dan Modern Chinese is one of my favorite restaurants in Manhattan Beach. If you’re in town on business, it’s definitely a go-to for great food. Matt our server is friendly and attentive. Adam was helpful and very accommodating. The food boasts of strong and bold flavors. The Dungeness Crab fried rice is a must!! And don’t forget to the dumplings. Enjoy!
Panda Express

Panda Express is a large chain store - you can find them in many malls and other places. This location is a large restaurant, you still order your own food and carry it to the table. Very clean large space, great service, I find the people there to be very nice and helpful. Calorie counts readable and in view, great selection of all your favorite Chinese dishes. Very consistant and good experience with this location. Yummy!
Beach Chinese Food To Go
314 Rosecrans Ave, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266, United States
Very healthy and fresh Chinese American cuisine at a takeout only restaurant. Almost tastes homemade. You wont get a sodium-induced headache, unlike many other places. Some people may complain that the food is too bland. But they should probably reevaluate their current diet and nutrition. If youre used to super salty or fried foods then yes, this place may be too mild for you.I got their broccoli chicken and rice dinner special. Super crunchy and fresh broccoli crowns. Chicken was tasty. The portion arent too huge but they make up for it with high quality ingredients. Dishes are made to order but theyre quick (10min to complete most meals). This is a good place to grab takeout and go sit and enjoy the beach views.Dinner specials are under $12 so if youre in the area, def give this place a try.

Our law firm presents estate planning educational seminars for free to our community, and we provide a myriad of handouts to our attendees. We go through a lot of information at the seminar and there is no way anyone can remember it all.So we created a host of documents to help attendees remember what we talked about. We can design great pieces, but we know nothing about getting them from digital files to the final product, or even how to set up the files for printing.Thank goodness for James Frost and Minuteman Press. With the exchange of a few emails, they walked us through prepping the files and we sent them along. Then, they sent us a quote with explanations. They advised us to print some documents on matte paper, one-sided, so people could take notes. They advised us to print others on glossy to create the impact they could see we wanted from the text on the documents. We then wanted to print 4 pages in one 4-page brochure. We just gave them the files and they did the hard stuff. We are not a huge corporation printing thousands of documents, but we were treated like one.Our documents were completed fast and far cheaper than any other printer we could find. Business supply stores, copy centers, and online companies cannot compete with this service or price. We could not be happier with Minuteman Press and we will continue to rely on them for all of our printing needs. Their help, advice, communication, price, and final products will keep us coming back.Thank you, James, and company for giving us peace of mind knowing we can count on you at a moments notice, to keep us looking better than any of the biggest firms around!

PUBLIC BE AWARE - HEALTH HAZARD! I have never eaten here and now my curiousity is gone as well! I watched through Windows from outside handicap spot by99 cent store 2 police officers even went inside ordered food unsuspecting just now left. This may gross you out but from my parking spot I can see direct line of view to the restroom hallway. A male employee came out of restroom and across hall into food area. He was still sending his belt into the clasp. Idk about you but when I am done with THAT PARTICULAR business I do pants belt tick etc etc before I go to wash station. Who washed hands when pants are barely pulled up and buckled? Why they would fall down before you grab soap! Its clear what did not happen at this place but please be warned that food handlers are not watched enough to make sure that hand washing occurs and my stomach is turning as I just barely got over this stomach flu. (Spouse inside 99 getting crackers and ginger ale for unknown stomach upset!)

I love coming here. The ambiance is lovely, the staff are as well, and the food is top notch.I love some dishes more than others (to be expected anywhere), but my favs to date are the chimichanga, eggs Benedict, and the lobster avocado toast.I used to love a steak dish, but I can't recall the name.Come here if you haven't been before- you won't be disappointed. Most recent visit 5/6/2023:*** Cinnamon roll (my friends order) 3.5-5 /5Warm spiced brioche smothered in citrus marscapone icing~The roll was huge! It was a glaze with citrus rind sprinkled on top. I thought the citrus was a nice touch, but that's because I don't love cinnamon rolls because I find them too sweet, so the citrus does a nice job breaking up the sweetness.- One of my friends loved this. She said the roll was delicious.- My other friend said this was meh. He said the roll wasn't hot enough and that the citrus took away from the usual cinnamon flavor. Then again, his caveat is that he isn't a huge sweet person, although he does like cinnamon rolls.*** Bay scallop ceviche 3/5Aji Amarillo leche de Tigre, cucumbers, shaved radish, purple sweet potato chips~I've had this before here and I thought it was great. This time, the bay scallops were a little strong flavored (if you get what I mean when I say fishy). It made me question whether I really liked it in the past or whether I was misremembering and then I realized, the last time I had it, they used large scallops. In general, the larger scallops have less of that strong flavor. None the less, if that flavor doesn't bother you, then you might enjoy this dish more than I did.***** Carnitas Breakfast Chimichanga 5+/5all natural beeler's pork shoulder, Oaxacan string cheese and scrambled eggs wrapped in flour tortilla and fried crispy, served with salsa roja, charro beans, house made escabeche~Wow! Get this! I've never had a breakfast version of a chimichanga. This has scrambled eggs in it as well as carnitas and cheese etc. It has a ton of flavors and the microgreens add a touch of freshness to it. This is fantastic***** Lobster avocado toast 5/5Poached eggs, fried garbanzos, sunflower sprouts, harissa vinaigrette, sunflower dukkah, sourdough~The lobster was succulent and flavorful. The bread was fantastic- it was soft, but held up well to the ingredients. I wouldn't have guessed this was sourdough, as it was brown. I thought it was a wheat, but either way, yum. The rest of the toppings complemented the flavor of the lobster well

We were driving down the street near our hotel looking for something different, something from L.A. After seeing this place, we stopped and I did a quick yelp search to make sure there wasnt anything super bad about this place. The parking lot was crowded, so that was already a good sign.We walked in the door and it was very loud in there, but I guess we adjusted quickly because I did not notice the loudness so much later. We did 2 all you can eat, unlimited trips, which I believe were about $12.45 each and then a kids type, which ended up being noodles only. I believe that one cost about $7.45 or so.The great thing about this place is the unlimited trips. You dont have to pack the meat down, which is frozen in thin sheets, in such a way that you feel you are getting a lot of meat, but once they cook it, theres hardly anything. Still this is a great way to have the right amount of meat in your dish. They had the usual meat offerings, chicken, turkey and beef, and the bonus was they had lamb! I believe I read on the menu that you can get other meats for an additional charge of around $2 or so.They had all the usual fixings, and once you were done adding your meats, vegetables, tofu, noodles and sauces, you stood in line to have your items cooked on one of the 2 large woks. When the line was long, there were four people cooking, so the line moved fairly well.I was pleasantly surprised by how good everything was, and we were not starving when we came here. Talking about it now is certainly making me hungry though. Our waitress, who took our drink order, was really nice and kept checking on us.Im glad we were able to try a new place and we liked it. We are in LA quite often, so we will have to swing by here again, hopefully in the near future.

Lively upscale restaurant with a diverse food selection ranging from sushi, Chinese, and American cuisine. My sliders were yummy. The truffle fries were great, and my wife’s shrimp Szechuan lettuce wrap was fantastic!

After a long drive from northern Cali, we decided to stop and dine at this restaurant. We've been here before twice, and the food was good. We were tired and wanted a quick bite and crash, we had our two little tea-cups min Pinch with us. We approached the hostess and he sat us down not mentioning anything about the dog policy, as the waitress approached us for the drinks she also didn't mentioned anything about the policy. We ordered drinks and were looking at the menu, she brought our drinks and then seconds late she THREW a pamphlet on the table with the pet policy…didn't bother to brief the policy to us, we felt so embarrassed that we were out place. We asked for the manager on duty to speak about the rude behavior of the waitress and why they sat us down knowingly that we had our two dogs, and proceeded to seat us. The waitress didn't even bother to say I can set you up with an order to go…nothing at all…it was probably the worst display of customer service I have ever experienced. The manager came and didn't even apologize for the behavior of the waitress she just explained the policy of the restaurant on pets…no apologies whatsoever. As we were leaving the waitress was smiling and smirking that we had to go, it was as if she was delighted of our embarrassment of having to leave..she looked like she was enjoying the moment. I am from out of state and I considered this place a decent place to eat, I am also a service member that will be sharing this story with our nearby installation in El segundo to advise them to stay away from this place, and will advise anyone from my home state that if you want to be disrespected and embarrassed “THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO”. if every time I embarras someone and smile and smirk on the outcome I probably wouldn't have a job. There are bad customer service but this tops it all…I hope this review makes it to management because from the top-down this place needs a serious attitude adjustment. if management is interested in who was the waitress it was the one that was assigned to the outside patio on 27 Dec 2023, around 8:00 at night.
Manhattan Bread & Bagel
1812 N Sepulveda Blvd, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266, United States
Waited almost 25 min today around 10am, only to keep asking if they maybe missed my order. It was not that packed and saw few people after me get their orders. They packaged a bagel and called my name but it was not my order. They also didn't seem to know how to make the iced latte (why have it on the menu). Later one of them shared they were understaffed but there were 3 of them prepping food and 2 bagging. I ordered 1 onion bagel with cc and an iced latte.I ended up with no latte and a plain bagel. They refunded my money and the one tall young guy was apologetic, but he ended up just standing there. I asked that I still would like the bagel I ordered 25 min ago and the other guy found an onion toasted ready so they handed it to me and I just left. This is feedback for the owners, there has to be a more efficient way to complete orders and serve quickly for a bagel shop vs having your staff be hostage to two machines, the young guy tried to explain but I don't need to know all that as a customer. Everyone else was just side eyeing, looked annoyed and not saying or doing much, which left a bad taste for wanting to come back again.Cute space outside to sit with pup, the bagel was good but the service is extremely slow and behaviors are not what I expected which prevents me from wanting to return again.
