China Palace Restaurant
65 W Main Ave, Morgan Hill, CA 95037, United States
Ive been here twice in all. For the first time, I only ordered hot & sour soup, eggplant and garlic sauce for myself. The soup was not bad. The service was very slow. I waited for a long time. But in this town no other choice for Chinese food. I had to give it a try. However, this time?Mu Shu Pork with Hoisin Sauce is sooooo dry without enough sauce to make it taste well. Hot & Sour soup is not HOT and SOUR at all. The soup I get is very salty. Plus, there is also some burnt smell. Its completely different from the first time I had here. Chow Funs color looks like darker than normal because they add too much soy sauce in it. Chow Fun stick together without any flour. Everything is terrible. I am sooooo upset about this meal after getting off a long day work with hungry but get this kind of quality food. The food doesnt deserve the price at all. I really love Chinese food. And I have tried lots of really great Chinese food. This restaurant needs to improve so bad to get and keep customers. Another thing I have to say is that the waitress there talkes toooooo much. We just want to simply enjoy our time. She asks too many questions. She is friendly. I understand she tries to be friendly but I really dont like the way she tries to approach. Im just a customer to eat here. I dont know you. People need a sense of boundary, instead of you asking about my job, tell me your children and your story. I dont care! You dont need to tell me all the history of your family. You should not ask me something personal. I really feel offended. I just come to eat. Please respect my privacy.Anyway, I will not come anymore. I feel sorry for taking the time to write this at the moment, because it is a waste of time for myself. But I need to share my true feelings with people who really care about food, so that more people can see it. I dont want others to throw the terrible food and suffer disappointment after a long days work with empty stomach. Morgan Hill really needs a real good Chinese restaurant.

Golden China Restaurant

Up in Morgan Hill doing work for a week. So we are trying different places each night before going back to the hotel. I currently reside in SF, so reading about best Chinese food in Morgan hill made me sceptical....Food quality is ok for American chinese food, and the amount is excellent for the price. And to everyone saying the woman working is rude.... lol Im part Chinese and this is expected. If I go to a Chinese restaurant and I dont get aloof service... I assume the food isnt that good.

The worst chinese restaurant....
Panda Express
216 Tennant Ave, Morgan Hill, CA 95037, United States
I know that one doesnt go to Panda Express for authentic, great Chinese food but it is usually reasonably good and the prices arent too bad. The wife and I have been to Pandas all over and the experience you get is pretty much the same. Well weve been to both of the ones here in Morgan Hill and they both kinda suck. Not sure why but the food always seems like its been sitting too long or something.Tonight we decided to come in because it was 9pm and many of the restaurants in Morgan Hill shut down about that time. I looked at Pandas website and it said that this one was open until 10pm. Great, weve got an hour before they close! Well we walk in the door at 9:06 and about half of the dishes are either empty or look like theyve been there WAY too long. The beef dish I was looking to get had about 3 pieces of meat in the tray that looked like beef jerky. I asked the guy at the counter if they were making more and he said the the cook told him that they werent making any more food. I get it, its a Saturday night, youre teenagers and you want to go home and party or play video games or something. Also no one likes to waste food. But gimme a break its about an hour before closing! The kid tells me that they usually shut the kitchen down about 45 minutes before closing. I look at my watch and it is now 9:07pm. I say, Its not 45 minutes before closing its only 9:07. He says, Look Im just telling you what the cook said. Not only that but look at the picture I took. The beef had obviously been sitting there for at least 20 minutes. So basically they like to shut down about an hour and a half before closing. So I turned around and walked out. I can understand if it was 9:45 or even 9:30. But it was 9:07!!! You dont close for another 53 minutes! Customers should be able to get the food they want and not be forced to eat something thats been sitting on the steam table for half an hour! This is unacceptable. Not only will I never go to this Panda Express ever again, I will probably not go to ANY Panda again!
Panda Express

Dont get me wrong, food is good, just about as good as any other PE weve been to; however, their customer service and store cleanliness needs improvement.I understand how popular menu items sell fast and the time it takes to prep the next batch, but when there is a line to the door and you are low on items, common sense would tell you (the server) that the cook should be informed to make more before running completely out. This person should not wait until they serve the last of the items and then tell the cook they are out when a customer requests said items. Also, their portion size is not at all the same as all other PE franchises. They serve two scoops of rice/chow main on your plate, and only one scoop of the entree items regardless if items fall off the spoon (most stores serve about two scoops). The mens bathroom was out of order (apparently its been out for a while), and I understand that people need to use the facilities, but men were walking in the womens restroom and it was awkward to say the least when coming out of a stall. When I brought it up, the girl just shrugged her shoulders.First and last time I will use this particular restaurant. Ill take any other PE or gas station as our pit stop.
Mr. Hongs
16745 Monterey Hwy, Morgan Hill, CA 95037, United States
It happened, I finally found a place that serves Chinese fast food other than Panda Express. I guess Panda Express and Mr. Hongs arent really Chinese food, its what Americans call Chinese food. Its like my dogs name is Moose and thats what I call him, but he will never actually be a moose. I wonder if theres a lot of restaurants in China that serve American food? I guess those places would be considered Chinese American food. Anyways, there are a lot of places in Morgan Hill that serve American Chinese food, but not fast. I dont know why it took me so long to find Mr. Hongs. I had driven by it so many times and they were as transparent as possible. They even say Fast Food on their sign. I appreciate that, I feel like most fast food chains try to hide the fact that theyre fast food or at least dont advertise it. Id be surprised if McDonalds or Taco Bell ever put fast food right under their name. I like that Mr. Hongs doesnt try to hide their identity and just accepts who they are. For the low price, large portion sizes, and quality for fast food standards this place is a 5/5 for me.
Taste of China
15858 Monterey Rd, Morgan Hill, CA 95037, United States
A South San Jose favorite has opened up in South Morgan Hill! Taste of China is amazing. They are the one of the only place left that makes my favorite soybean noodle dish. The servings are generous and the taste is amazing. I moved to Gilory from San Jose in 2021. Chinese food choices are lacking here and in Morgan Hill. We tired a couple of places in Morgan hill we paid over $140 and barely got any protein and the Togo trays were so small. The food was greasy and both places. The taste was okay. I am so happy and excited to have Tatse of China, one of my favorite restaurants to open up in my new ho.etown area! Please support them and give them a try. I got my noodle dish yesterday for my mom and I and I was so happy. So delicious.so yummy. Please give them some love. They are next to Lawsons bakery!!!

Vietasia Restaurant
1295 E Dunne Ave #140, Morgan Hill, CA 95037, United States
This version of Vietasia is vastly different. The new Vietadia has an extensive menu, but ask as not every dish is available. All in all, the Big Bowl of soup seems to be there speciality as this is where the flavors and subtly mixed spices shine! My table mate ordered orange chicken and remarked it was very salty. The atmosphere could use a lot of help. This day in January it was chilly outside and the restaurant especially in the back where we were seated was very cold. We sat with our coats on and were still uncomfortable. A couple of people who were seated after us asked to move to the passageway tables. The thermostat was nearby and the owner came over and looked at the temperature, but didnt turn it up. When we got up to leave the front entry area was full. The walls are painted a bright plant green that was chipped off quite badly in areas. Carpet on the floor was spotted and in need of cleaning, although the rainy weather Im sure contributed to it. We will give it another one more try later when the weather warms. Some heat and a friendlier attitude would go a long way to making the restaurant inviting.
