Panda Express
350 Tucker Rd, Tehachapi, CA 93561, United States
The food here is absolutely terrible quality and quantity compared to other Panda Express locations. The food is undercooked, extremely greasy and tastes like they don't properly clean their equipment. Additionally, for the exorbitant prices, it's a bit irritating when you order something with veggies in the mix, this seems to give the manager/operator of this franchise motivation to severely undercut the customer on the product. Our orange chicken was soggy, and undercooked, giving it a sharp vinegar taste and a texture like a wad of snot. We also had an order of Broccoli Beef, and the Pepper Chicken in a family meal. We dumped the whole container onto a plate, and out of the entire carton there was 5 pinky nail size bits of beef in the entire carton, the chicken was similar with several nail size little pebbles of what seems like scrapings of chicken from a shredder mixed in with a heavy amount of undercooked greasy peppers and onions. To add to that frustration given the cost of these menu items, the cartons weren't even filled properly barely making it 3/4ths full. The only two cartons to be filled were the chow mein, and white rice. Both undercooked as well, making them difficult or just downright disgusting to consume. No utensils, no sauces, no napkins (even though they were requested.) but hey you gave us 15 fortune cookies so that makes up for it right? For the price it costs to eat out, you kinda expect there to be some value in it, and if I'm getting a container filled with mostly vegetables, alright I'll accept the universe telling me to eat healthier, but I also expect to pay closer to the cost of those vegetables, not a premium price. Yes, we are paying for preparation, which means it should be prepared properly, and it's also expected that a product with a Beef or Chicken in its name and the associated costs attached to them, actually contains those items. I strongly urge corporate to throughly investigate this location, and customers to demand better. This location is a disappointing representation of what makes Panda Express normally a great experience.

The lady on the phone was so rude and made me feel so uncomfortable that I couldn't even go to the restaurant to pick up the food. The spicy chicken sandwich isn't actually spicy— they just add spicy mayo which is cheaping out in my opinion. I have no idea why this place has such good reviews when they're so rude for literally no reason. They're also the type of restaurant that won't accommodate to the way you want your meal and almost berate you for it, which is a no go for picky eaters like me. Picky eaters find the right restaurant and stick to it and are loyal to it. Way to push away future customers ?? customer service is just as important as the quality of the food, something this restaurant clearly doesn't understand.

For a Thai restaurant kind of in the middle of nowhere, this place is awesome! We stopped here in the middle of our road trip and we’re very surprised to find a highly rated Thai place. The papaya salad is pretty nice, although it could be a bit spicier and flavorful. The shrimp lover’s noodles seemed more like a Chinese fried noodle dish, but it was satisfying considering how hungry we were. And finally, we LOVED the pork noodle soup - it was very authentic, was packed with flavors, and was perfect for a cold night!Service is very quick and polite!
Redhouse BBQ

Wow! Everything I read about about it was true. No wonder its been winning awards consistently. Friendly and honest staff. I had BBQ brisket red cabbage slaw and Indian Fry bread with the works( powdered sugar, butter and honey). Heaven! Ive had BBQ all over America, this is some of the best brisket Ive tasted! Not inexpensive but great with nice portions. Nice craft beers, indoor dining and outdoor menu. It can get busy, theyve earned it. In business about 12+15 years. How did a Chinese womans first restaurant (American BBQ)come out so great?! Impressive. Whenever Im back in the area Red House is a done deal. Cool T-shirts also.

No dine-in because of Covid, and that's fine. Peeped my head in the door and asked for a menu and ordered and waited in the car. Waitress brought the order out to me and I'm off on my way home. 25 minutes later (because that's how long it takes me to drive home) and I notice that I'm missing a hand roll. So I call the business and the waitress confirmed that there was a hand roll sitting on the counter still. She Wanted to know if I was coming to get it. I thought to myself (you never put the roll in the fridge once you noticed it didn't make it in the bag) I told the girl no I wouldn't be coming in to pick it up if she could just refund my card the difference. She said no she can't but was willing to give me an IOU for the hand roll. Ok no problem. However the review I'm giving it a 2 star Because1. Waited outside (not allowed in the restaurant) nobody came so I poked my head inside and the waitress was on her phone texting. I had to ask her if she could take my order.2. Ordered from a menu without pictures. Sorry folks but I want to see what it is I'm ordering. I've never eaten here before so I had no idea what I was getting.3. Missing a roll from my order4. Couldn't give me a refund5. The rolls looked terrible. Sorry but Albertsons sushi looks better and tastes better.6. For what I received the product is way over priced. I'll spend about $100 to eat at a sushi restaurant. I also have high expectations. Clearly not the spot for me.Needless to say I will not return, I'm not even going there to get my IOU. We will just call it good. For my sushi connoisseurs I would not recommend.

Always have great food and drinks! Fresh, tasty and large portions. Have been complying with covid regulations while serving customers in great service. In the year of 2020 the man co owner passed away :( short staffed and staying busy, they are hustling and trying their best to get orders out quickly. I've seen so many people be rude to the owner because of long wait times. If you can't wait, go away, don't be rude. She is trying! We are so happy to see this restaurant survive covid19 hard times. Thank you Tehachapi for shopping small business. Thank you to those having patience.
