Golden China has been a constant in my life since I was a wee boy back before the internet existed. It used to be the only Chinese restaurant in Turlock, so there were obvious few other options. The food has always been A-OK. Its nothing special, but it does satisfy the requirements of typical Chinese restaurant cuisine. Be warned, the chow mein is a little on the greasy side.They also used to give out free scratcher lotto tickets with to go orders. I havent received one in a while though, so they either discontinued the practice or I havent ordered enough to earn one.

I order chinese food for the family. We couldnt eat our food because the rice was plain and no flavor. The chowmein was hard and dry. The chicken was overcooked and dry it tasted like old chicken. 10 years back this place made really good Chinese food. Today it was the worst Chinese food we have had that we couldnt eat it. This place needs major help in getting a better cook or need to retrain the cook. I dont like giving bad reviews but our community needs to know. So we can better spend our hard earned money in a better quality Chinese restaurant.

9 out of 10!!!I love this place with my heart and soul. The food is always really really good and the guys on the grill are so funny and friendly. They always try to have a small conversation and keep the good vibes going while your waiting for your food to be cooked.I rate it 9 out of 10 because sometimes the stations can be messy and some of your favorite toppings will be not stocked. And I dont blame Staff for the messes but its almost like that everytime my friends and i go. out of the two what is more an issue (not really an issue) is when they are out of toppings .. that plus the mess makes you think how often they check and maintain the stations...Another reason why I say 9 out of 10 is because sometimes the girls who seat you can come off as rude or have an attitude when they try to seat/serve customers. I dont know them specifically or do I have a problem with anyone so I dont take it personally but I feel like customers would feel more welcomed without the attitudes ?I still give this place a 5 star review because the overall experiences Ive had here are always really nice and friendly and its pretty cheap eats for all you can eat ??

Just off the freeway 99, Chongs Cuisine, perhaps is one of the best Chinese and Thai restaurant.It is difficult to pick any one single dish from their menu, because each and every single dish is very tasty, delicious and mouth watering!!!We recommend, Volcano Fish, served with vegetables; and Pad Gro Kro ( hot and spicy basil, bamboo, choice of chicken or beef and veggies).To top it off, the owners are very friendly and care about the customer, they stopped at our table and asked if we liked our food and if we need anything else,... Mrs. Chong is a friendly and wonderful lady.Diffenetly, a place to stop by one way to or back from South California for folks like us who do not live in Turlock, CA.

My wife had said let’s try it well let’s just say. The fettuccine Alfredo the sauce gummy wall paste with no flavor. The Chicken Marsala the sauce is split oily bitter Taste chicken taste like left over fry chicken From a Chinese restaurant. The service was good paid $70 to eat bread and salads left a tip cause service was good but me and my wife took one bite of the main and couldn’t do it that bad. Was told they would make me something else but with two bad main dishes in front of us time to move on to the next one. The food is very sub par if even that. The recipe need a upgrade the chef might need a update. This is 2021 and this food is not up to standards.

Ive had good experiences here but this last one was the worst customer service Ive had anywhere in a while. I made an online order and my husband picked it up for me. They gave him the wrong order and he had to drive from Hughson back to get my actual order. Their first question was did you touch the food. They were irritated they had to refund and give my actual food back.When I got my food, my croquettes and tenpura were soggy and cold, my sushi was WARM, and my miso soup was cold. Its clear to me that they gave me the same food they accidentally switched and gave to the other person, who took it HOME then brought back. They gave me the same food 2 hours after my order was made.I didnt even end up eating it because Im not convinced it was fresh and that someone else may have touched the food before giving it to me. Im honestly surprised at this reaction by them. I dont know that I will be coming back after the awful service my husband and I received. They were clearly mad at US for their mistake. I understand people make mistakes, but they should have made it right. The least they should have done was give me fresh food. Im so disappointed.
