Lees Canton Restaurant
511 Reeves Ave, Yuba City, CA 95991, United States
Ive only eaten from this restaurant one time through doordash. But today I decided to go in and have a seat. For a very cheap price of 14.99 I received a very large meal meant for maybe three people for lunch today. Including a $3 refillable soda with tax total was very reasonable the portion size are humongous the food is absolutely delicious I have yet to find another Chinese restaurant from East Coast or West Coast that is as good as this restaurant. The staff is very friendly very quick the food was delicious nothing hard nothing bad it was amazing. Ive added some pictures of the portion sizes and what I received. Again the best Chinese food I have ever had from coast to coast. Private sesame chicken you wont regret it. Please note that to go box is so full I could not fit another thing in it that is how much food I still have left over after eating food.

Mongolian BBQ

This was my first time going to this place, if you carryout you have to pay first, I got 3 bowls $34. You can only take one bowl per visit to the grill, keep this in mind when ordering to go. The meat is frozen so if you want anything else only put a few pieces of meat (which is probably their way of cutting cost). There were people in front and behind me using there hands to push the food down in the bowls provided, which was gross since these people had not washed their hands. There was a fly fighting people for the noodles and vegetables, so then I am swatting away flies, they used so much water until there is no taste to the food, I should not have to add anything to this food. The sad thing is all the 5 star reviews they get which pretty much tell them they do not need to improve anything from people who obviously do not know what this food should taste like. Just because people are nice does not mean you should not be honest. My advice if you go here is to go Vegan, eat all vegetables. They also add a scoop of white rice and an egg roll, which I did not want and was thrown out. This lady who looked pregnant ask me if she can go in front of me because she was only getting vegetables, well sorry for her they cooked it on the same grill as the meat, so unfortunately for her she ate meat. If you are a real vegetarian don't go here.

Tasty Buffet
840 Gray Ave, Yuba City, CA 95991, United States
Debated 2 or 3 stars. Went with 3, although, I doubt we will ever go back. The service was good, drinks filled, plates removed, and seated quickly. However, the food is why you go and it was not impressive. While there were standouts, like the Pepper Chicken, other items were flavorless or tasted off.Overall, the experience was not horrible, merely okay. For $55 (lunch time) for a family of five (two kids under six), there are other options in restaurants available. Id rather share some plates at another Chinese restaurant than have a wide selection with only a few items that are good. This is the only Chinese buffet I could find online in the area, but I would drive to Roseville or another city for a better buffet in the future. With five of us, we all walked away saying, That was okay. After further discussion, we decided that at the price point and food quality, there is no incentive to return.

Hengs Caf
1270 Stabler Ln, Yuba City, CA 95993, United States
My husband and I tried this place and the waiter was so rude! He waited for a long time before getting up to seat us when we walked in. He spoke very little English and didnt seem to be able to recite anything we said to him and the man had no capacity for customer satisfaction. He didnt bring me my water with lemon in it like I asked and when the food was ready he just threw it on the table and didnt even bother giving it to the correct person. Im so tired of being treated with as little respect or consideration as the trash at the dump whenever I go to a Chinese restaurant - learn your manners!!! The waitress that helped serve us was very kind and considerate though and the eggrolls were good which is the ONLY reason I give it two stars, otherwise everything was below subpar for me - even some of the food had very little flavoring.

Specialty coffee thats *sadly* not so special or worth the 2x extra price to me(fyi im a champion barista/roaster/brewer and mixologist bartender ...now nomad)First up anything anywhere can get a basic caffeine buzz/ high ...but the how/ why on high differ greatly (wholeistic vs oxidative stress).which is why i strongly prefer indy cafes & restaurants who are the only ones equipped to recognize and seize the benefits of these simple distinctions.(e.g. Chinese lunch special at szechuan restaurant on nearby 1st has pot of fresh fragrant basic green tea for *just* $1.50 (entire boxes for sale $3.50) contrast that against any ANY above\below)They Micro Roasts in house on lovely San Franciscan  small drum roaster (comparable.. near identical to a online wcroasters i much prefer).. but tastewise oxidation on back end of tongue(rancidity) permeates every thing i tasted from aeropress, chemix & claimed award winning  cold brew (with nitro option.. which fun is gimmicky, doesnt change the coffee.. rather masks it)The hidden law of grade A (88pt) coffee  vs average c/b grade (commodity/common at good cafes (not StarPuke$)) *is its comparable unforgiving* if rest of production chain is not at comparible  grade .. which gets into perceptual mechanics being able to taste TALK about differences. Why C grade is so forgiving and A grade so revealling. In several attempts different days i could not handle/palette more than a sample (which lingered like most A grades do but sour note greated/greyed..meh to bleh, leaving me wondering what to do without being overly rude...many other options exist 1hr nearby for less cost much better experiences easy to contrast & compare.Starting with free in house water.. which was metallic & tinny vs control of distilled (*pure* H2O) which i dont notice at other places / cafes in area. This flavor was not present in coffee. Just a part of what i expect at a customer centric specialty cafe/hotel (and costs nothing)TEA and kombucha were at $4 ish - while i didnt taste it- best tea in class (TeaJava ( NOT TEAVANA (outside english breakfast)) BIG (3-6 servings) bottles are 1/3 the price for much more $1.50 ish in stores a few walking blocks away, my normal teas intelligensia (puh er, jasmine golden needles,  white ) cost about $5-6 a BAG (online) and easy to carry aroundOTHER CAFFIENE of tasty merit are also 2 blocks away convenience store are Mexican (real sugar) coke, pepsi ..dr pepper etc.KOMBUCHA Only a few kombuchas i like so ask for a sample first. As a small business consultant Id MUCH rather them contract out or sublease the roasting &green coffee to other roasters in the area (happy to have their business Id bet)in order to have say 55% more floor space feed up for paying customers... relatively few seats in & outdoors, few circle of friends party possibilities (like dennys)Owner while nice & passionate about craft business seemed overly concerned /pressed for time for these easily delegateable preventable pain things. I hate to see good people struggle unnecessarily.

Teriyaki House
1540 Butte House Rd, Yuba City, CA 95993, United States
A bit overpriced now but the food is still fresh to order and delicious. The customer service isnt very good anymore. The Asian man that used to be there all the time was very nice and funny. The young ladies that are always there now arent very nice.As for the food, my familys go-tos are the chicken rice bowls: teriyaki, sesame, and orange all with sauce on the side. I recommend the teriyaki chicken bowl, NO RICE, just veggies and chicken with sauce on the side. Also, we LOVE that the imperial rolls and cream cheese puffs, which dont have meat or seafood! We need more vegetarian and vegan options that dont have soy, so these imperial rolls and cream cheese puffs are perfect. So yeah, great food but not so good service anymore.

Bel Air

I really like this store its usually pretty nice and clean I like their produce department in the summertime they get fresh fruit locally grown and its got a nice Chinese restaurant there to grab a trade to go or they have a few tables you can sit and eat there the only thing is its a little pricey if you are on a tight budget on your groceries you might be better off to go somewhere else but if you get stuff on sale there that you get good prices
