Chef Mario was accommodating and the food was great! The atmosphere and look of the restaurant is beautiful with bold colors and a great design. The fried rice was flavorful, and everything tasted pretty good. We got the chicken and shrimp hibachi with vegetables, as well. If you’re looking for a great Japanese Hibachi restaurant, visit Arigato Bato in Bellflower. Tell him I sent you!
Bai Plu Thai & Sushi Bar

This a fusion Thai and Japanese restaurant though its staffed by Thai people so that side might be more authentic. Theyve also got a robot delivering some orders so that was pretty neat to see.Ive been here a few times and the food has always been delicious and filling.
Bom Bom Grill
15726 Woodruff Ave, Bellflower, CA 90706, United States
I saw this place has a high rating and decided to give it a try. I came with the family. Everything in the menu looked good. The one taking my order was super confusing to me. I didnt know if I should say maam or sir, but was helpful taking my order... My significant other went with the beef bom bom wrap, California tempura roll, my daughter with chicken udon noodles, I went with half chicken half beef fusion tacos, and got some bom bom balls for us to try out. Ok, so tacos were the least liked. Nothing exceptional stood out. Everything on the tacos was bland chicken was just ok, beef was just ok, teriyaki was hardly distinguishable, veggies were the most noted in the tacos, I wouldnt order them again. BomBom balls, which are fried rice balls with chicken or beef teriyaki inside, they were lacking flavor you could not taste anything but the fried rice and being that it was fried, the outside was hard af, felt like I was going to crack a tooth biting into fried hard rice, would not encourage to order them. Next, the chicken udon, nothing exceptional noodles, were tasteless, chicken was just there no seasoning, teriyaki was pale flavored, only thing you can barely taste were the veggies it had. I did get to try the bom bom wrap it was surprisingly good. You could actually taste some of the beef with some teriyaki, rice, and veggies. Best of all was the sushi good flavor. The spicy mayo gave it some type of flavor to make up for the weak teriyaki sauce they use. Overall, I wasnt impressed, 2 out of the 5 dishes were just ok. Good if Im being nice. I doubt Ill be back, maybe recommending just the sushi and the bom bom wrap... maybe.
Teriyaki House Grill
16900 Lakewood Blvd UNIT 203, Bellflower, CA 90706, United States
So I've been hearing about this place for a while now and decided to try it out for the first time today and boy was I disappointed. My go to place for teriyaki or fusion is Bom Bom grill in Bellflower which is closer to my house so I never felt too compelled to try this place. I finally gave and I decided to call ahead to place my order so it would be ready by the time I arrived to the place and was put on hold for 10 mins. I just started heading down to restaurant because I was frustrated about being on hold and decided to just come in and order. When I walked in it was not busy with just made me a little angry considering how long I was on hold for. I ordered my food and the wait wasn't long. Got home and was immediately disappointed. I got the chicken teriyaki super fries and they were not special at all. The only thing I enjoyed sadly were the jalapeños they keep on the side to grab yourself. I'd much rather stick to Bom Bom Grill. They're Bom Bom fries are so much better and they're cheaper!!!!
Sushi Kara
2830 N Bellflower Blvd, Long Beach, CA 90815, United States
I have been going to Sushi Karas for a few years now, and it is my favorite sushi restaurant in East Long Beach. Their sushi is always fresh, with big portions, and they have a big variety of sushi rolls. They also have excellent Japanese food like teriyaki dishes, curry, pork katsu, and many more. The staff is always friendly and their service is excellent. It is a must try if you are in the area.

To start, I have designated a 3.5 star rating attributed to the university as a whole. Now that this is out of the way, I am pleased to inform you that for the money, you will receive a quality education here. I graduated in December 2014 with a BA in Environmental Science and Policy, and I can honestly aver that I had (on average) really great professors (professor quality could vary based on your academic focus). I studied for five years here, and am now on my way to UC Irvine to complete my Masters. While there are many notable strengths as far as educational inquiry is concerned, the university itself falls short of (ideally) the entire college experience. Is this a commuter school? Yes. Does school spirit lack? From my experience, yes. Is social life lacking (aka. the party scene)? From an observational basis, yes (way more than what you will find at universities such as USC and UCSB). Is parking atrocious (see other reviews)? Indeed, but that ultimately depends on the time you plan to park.If there is one piece of advice I have for incoming freshman, it is to take advantage of any opportunities the university has to offer. Whether that is to join a club, frat/sorority, organization, cause, (etc.) is completely up to you. Engagement outside the classroom will help mitigate the effects of what I like to call commuter syndrome. Make no mistake, CSULB is deemed a commuter school by most, so become proactive if you can.Overall, theres a lot to like about CSULB: good professors, friendly people, an exceptional athletics program, a nice campus, and an exquisite Japanese Garden. Just be aware of the aforementioned caveats.
Kikyo Sushi
16610 Bellflower Blvd, Bellflower, CA 90706, United States
Kikyo Sushi Sake Bar has been a familiar spot for my family, and we used to visit at least 2-3 times a month. The restaurant offers a large array of dishes and the prices are quite reasonable. Tina, the owner, always greets us warmly and goes the extra mile to ensure our satisfaction, which has contributed to the positive experiences weve had in the past. However, our most recent visit on June 16th was an unfortunate one. Our server that day, Connie, displayed an uncharacteristic level of rudeness that left us feeling disheartened and never wanting to return. Despite being loyal customers, we were treated poorly. The incident occurred when we ordered vegetables for our kids, but instead, a fried tempura dish intended for another table was mistakenly brought to us. Assuming it was the vegetables we had requested, we began eating it. Shortly after, Connie removed the dish and aggressively pointed at my 6-year-old daughter, accusing her of eating someone elses food. This kind of behavior was completely uncalled for and unacceptable, leaving us feeling humiliated and uncomfortable. In response, we expressed our concerns to the two new male servers who were working that evening. To their credit, they were genuinely apologetic and tried to rectify the situation. However, the damage had been done, and the unpleasant encounter with Connie overshadowed the rest of the dining experience. We sincerely hope that the management takes our feedback seriously and addresses the situation appropriately. Unless there are measures taken to rectify this issue, my family and I will be exploring other dining options for our future outings.

Panvimarn Thai Cuisine
4101 N Bellflower Blvd suite b & c, Long Beach, CA 90808, United States
Horrible service. Took forever to be seated and forever to even be acknowledged by the waitress. We went in to eat and not just to observe that their were more employees than guests eating. Plates were chipped, menu over priced. Many more better Thai options in the city. Save your money and go to a real Thai restaurant that does not offer Japanese Susnhi as an option. True Thai restaurants do not treat customers like this.
