sur sushi restaurant
14650 Parthenia St, Panorama City, CA 91402, United States
A sushi place inside a swap shop ?? Must be horrible … right ? … right ?????You. Have. No. Idea. How. Good. It. Is!!!Honestly, I was just looking for some cheap sushi to munch on. You know, $8 rolls or something.NopeeeeeeeeThis was one of the best sushi places I've ever been to. First the service from Linda, she was great ! Super sweet and kind, great personality, and I never once saw her without a smile on her face. She definitely loves the craft and the business. Our chef was Omar. Man this guy is a magician ! The food was sooooooo good and soooo fresh. The rolls just melted in our mouths. I can't wait to go back and I heard they're opening other locations. But this is a GEMMMM !!!Prices don't reflect a swap shop sushi place. It's definitely like a real nice restaurant. But, the quality of food and the service matches a real sit down nice restaurant. The Sur sushi on fire roll … oh. My. Goooddddddddd ? Best roll thing I've ever had. It's a sushi burrito ! Mannnnn it was the best thing I've ever tasted. So good. Getting that again !The panorama roll, seaweed salad were delicious too !My girl had the salmon sashimi, so fresh. Melted in our mouths. The rice cakeeee !!! Incredible ! Fried rice patty with spicy tuna and avocado. Bro …. Bro …. So good. This is my new go to sushi spot!My ONLY complaint is they didn't have the prices listed. Ended up spending $80. Just unexpected is all. But for the quality of the food I'm not complaining at all. Would've just liked to know each rolls was $16Definitely going again!
Yoshinoya Panorama City
13750 Roscoe Blvd, Panorama City, CA 91402, United States
I came here several times the service is hit and miss. I had this cashier take my order and made a mistake. She corrected my order then proceeded to make my order even though there was someone already there to make it. I thought she was going to make it right. But I had to check twice before I left. She prepared it with less beef and was trying to give me something else instead of the person preparing it. The other two employees looked at each other and were confused and didnt want to intervene and make it right. I wouldnt recommend coming here. Go down the street to the other one. Parking is also terrible. I tried to like this place, but the vibe is not good. Sorry. Update 11/29/23 1:00pm: As I was eating she spread out the meat thinly so it seems I had a full Combo Meal thats $9.99. I feel a little ripped off even more. I dont usually write bad reviews. But sometimes I cant just let it go. I just want to make sure everyone came here for what they came for. Dont get me wrong. I have been going to Yoshinoya since I can remember.
Sakura Sushi
8247 Woodman Ave, Panorama City, CA 91402, United States
The restaurant used to be a great place to eat but now its terrible. The female waitress was unfriendly and never really tended too us. I had a child with me and wanted a table instead was placed at the sushi bar instead one of the other tables that were available. Right in my face she said their was no tables available yet their were two available. Instead she gave it to another couple with children as well. The quality of the food is poor along with the quantity. My child ordered a full adult meal yet that didnt even satisfy him. If it couldnt satisfy a child how can it satisfy an adult? Also the staff was also drinking on the job. Its sad this used to be a great place that I came with my family. I rather go 30 minutes in L.a to eat great filling Japanese food. I wouldnt even wish this place on my enemy.
OSAKA JAPAN

Taste okay. But it looks like cheap fast food. Next time, I would eat elsewhere. And when they ran a card, it asked for a tip.A TIP??? FOR WHAT?It processed fast Japanese food. Everything was in paper products. This was NOT a restaurant but a FAST FOOD JAPANESE SHOP.SORRY. NO TIP.

Update 3/2022 Post Covid Lockdown:This place is still a great place to eat even after not being able to go for a long time. Great food. Great staff. The cashier even remembered me after that long gap. Still one of my favorite restaurants in the Valley. Highly recommended!Previously:No exaggeration, this place is great. Ive never been to a Hawaiian BBQ place outside of Hawaii itself. A friend suggested that we go here for lunch inside The Plant in Van Nuys. The menu is large with plenty of choices. They even serve Spam, the official meat of Hawaii. However, I didnt try it. My lunch was excellent. I had the pulled pork and chicken lunch plate. It came with rice, potato salad, steamed vegetables along with the 2 meat items. It was absolutely delicious and very filling from the generous portions. This is definitely a place I intend to eat at often. The service is good and the restaurant, although very busy, is kept very clean. Plenty of parking and handicapped accessible (although I didnt check out the restrooms). As I said, I cant wait to go back.
Panorama Mall
8401 Van Nuys Blvd, Panorama City, CA 91402, United States
I have such fond memories of Panorama City Mall, especially during my time at Penny Lane. The mall was a haven of fun and excitement for us. Whenever we had some free time, we loved heading over to Footlocker, where we found an impressive selection of trendy and comfortable sneakers. The staff there was always helpful, making our shopping experience even better. The food court was another highlight of our visits. With its diverse array of cuisines, we were spoiled for choice. From delicious Asian dishes to mouthwatering burgers and pizzas, there was something to satisfy every craving. It became our go-to spot for grabbing a quick bite or having a relaxed meal together. And let's not forget Walmart! This conveniently located store provided everything we needed, making it easy for us to pick up essentials and even do some impromptu shopping. The wide range of products and competitive prices were big pluses.Throughout our time at Panorama City Mall, we felt a warm and inviting atmosphere. The mall's layout was well-designed, offering plenty of seating areas where we could relax and chat. It became our little escape from the routine, where we could unwind and create lasting memories. While I truly enjoyed my time here and appreciate the positive impact it had on me during my placement, I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because there were occasional instances of crowded spaces, especially during peak hours, which affected the overall experience slightly. In conclusion, Panorama City Mall holds a special place in my heart, and I'm grateful for the wonderful times I had here with my friends from Penny Lane. I highly recommend this mall for its diverse shopping and dining options, making it an enjoyable destination for anyone looking to have a great time.”Remember, reviews are subjective, so feel free to personalize the details based on your own experiences and memories.
