Amazing. Been traveling down the coast and have tried many different sushi places and japanese restaurants, this one is By Far the best. All the food is the freshest Ive seen in any restaurant, seasoned and cooked perfectly. I can see why this place has the title of Best Sushi in Redding (should be Best Sushi in Northern California in my opinion.)We ordered online and had it delivered, arrived very quickly, still fresh and warm.Highly recommend, their sushi and hot entrees are equally great.

Authentic Japanese food, sushi very flavorful and the sashimi tastes as fresh as possible this far inland. Had the miso soup, gyoza and seaweed salad today. All were a cut above the restaurants in Redding and chico. Great addition to red bluff and highly recommended for this area.

I was so disappointed in the service there. Ive been waiting tables for over 10 years, so I know what good customer service is and this was by far the worst Ive ever had. I always leave a tip even if the service isnt great because I know it means something, but this time I didnt tip just too make a point to this woman!When my girlfriend and I came in we were celebrating and the lady who took our order ruined our whole experience. I dont mind spending a pretty penny when the food and the service is worth it but I was not happy about my bill considering my service. Everytime she would come to the table she was super rude with the way she talked to us. Also she was the only waitress who was wearing gloves and busing tables at the same time(which is fine, being ahard worker is great, but she served our food with the same glove she cleaned with) I tried really hard to find the positive.. (maybe she isnt a waitress,maybe she is just helping, but still you could have still given us good customer service, its not that hard ) I ordered a meal that had soup and my soup came last on the table after my food was giving to me. On top of that the food I ordered was over cooked. When I tried to explain this to her, she literally yelled at me and said NO thats what you ordered (seared tuna) I told you its seared!! Thats what you get I was so embarrassed because my girlfriend had to tell me no if it doesnt taste good let them know. (I hate complaining as it is, because Ive worked in the industry I know it is) but this was extremely rude!!! I just wanted her to let the cook know that the tuna YES was seared but it was well overcooked and dry! But no she told me thats what I get and Im NOT giving refund! Everyone around us was staring... It was humiliating! Not to mention she was super pushy (like rushing us) she barely could speak English... Im not trying to be rude but if you are going to work in the industry you should be able to be patient with us if we dont understand what youre saying one and two you shouldnt push us into hurrying up our order. Yes it was late, but we still had a whole hour before closing, so that was uncalled for! I love this place but I dont know if Ill be coming back due to the worst service Ive ever had.. I can find other restaurants with just as good of food and waaaaay better of service. I Even asked for her name so I could call the manager and make a complaint but I forgot it, she should be fired!!!I have to be pushed very far to write a bad review and I have to say if you go there dont let the lady who wears black plastic gloves serve you!! ?

My favorite Japanese restaurant in Tustin! Its small and cozy like almost every restaurant in japan but has a massive amount of character! The food is great and the owners/ servers are incredibly nice and accommodating.

Great tasting,high quality sashimi. I ordered the red snapper, tuna, salmon sashimi and I really enjoyed it. I also ordered one of the fusion rolls called the Mountain Dew, It was delicious! I really liked the food overall. Service was not bad, but the wait staff was very busy on Friday night! The building gets warm due to the orientation to the sun, and large windows. The atmosphere is typical of the contemporary Japanese food restaurant, not a lot of seating in the dining room. Lots of people seem to order for takeout.

Great chow! Not good, not better, this is GREAT chow. Philippines favorites in a combination plate for $11.99: adobo (chicken or pork) with pancit, steamed rice and two lumpia. If this was all they offered anyone should be happy because a better meal cannot be found. But six days a week there are special offerings, too varied to list here. The store is packed, wall to wall, with imported food stuff from the other side of the world. Closed Sunday, the Lords day. Finally, Mercy, the proprietor, couldnt be friendlier. I asked about the dried fish imported from Indonesia and she went in to detail about how to cook it. This place is not too far from where I live and I have been there several times. On each visit I ordered something different and everything was great. The prime rib sandwich was excellent. I ordered it with a side of au jus and it looked so good that my table-mates all wish that they had ordered it instead of burgers.Speaking of burgers, I had a double burger with hot pastrami on top and it was delicious. I took my son and my Japanese daughter-in-law there recently. She had never seen a 50s themed restaurant before and they both loved it. The shakes/malts are fresh and really good. I always get the Banana/Peanut Butter Malt.My only complaint is that the place could be cleaner. Also, there is always lots of flies buzzing about, especially by the windows. The dining room really does need a little TLC but the kitchen looks clean and Pops is worth the trip.
