Burosu ramen
Unit102, 12265 Ventura Blvd, Studio City, CA 91604, United States
Was wanting Ramen tonight and our usual in the area had a wait so knowing that there are no shortages for Ramen places around the Studio City area, thought Id give Burosu a try with all the 5 star reviews.I have to say I was extremely pleased with everything. Our waiter (wish I had gotten her name) was super nice, just couldnt have asked for a nicer person to take our order. I got the Reddit (love spicy) and opted for extra noodles as well as their house Hot Sauce which was one of the most unique flavors for a hot sauce Id ever had, really nice, I asked if it was something theyd be willing to bottle to sell by itself cause Id have bought it in a heartbeat but no luck (not yet anyway). They also have a small selection of Sushi/Sashimi and and cold drinks like Boba with some interesting flavor combinations.Waiting in anticipation for our Ramen, took about 10 minutes or so, I regret not taking a picture before digging in. Presentation was great, really well constructed. The first thing that caught my eye was how yellow the noodles were which I love. Digging into it, noodles were just the right firmness, soft boiled egg was perfectly cooked, I knew I had found my new favorite place for Ramen.Broth was excellent, spicy but not overly so to overpower the rest of my palette. I highly recommend Busoru to anyone who has a high appreciation for excellent Ramen thats second to none.

REDWHITE BONELESS RAMEN
11044 Ventura Blvd, Studio City, CA 91604, United States
Must try. This is the next tier of ramen and Japanese food in general. The flavors are so balanced and complex, the textures are perfect and the service is authentic and warm. Redwhite is an entire category above everything I’ve tried before. Sublime!I got take out, but the ambiance of the restaurant is top notch, I wish I could stay. Will have to come back soon!

Ahi Sushi
12915 Ventura Blvd # A, Studio City, CA 91604, United States
Our dinner tonight cost $120 for three people and we barley ordered. The edename was sour and tasted rancid, and the waiter recommended we got the garlic one to cover up the bad flavoring. The miso soup was luke warm and I felt like I was going to be ill from the amount of salt. My daughter ordered two $9 cut rolls, and the rolls weren't even as large as my eyeball. The amount of fish was so small, I felt I needed a magnifying glass to see the fish in the roll. On top of the terrible food, our waitress kept forgetting to bring our drinks. At one point we felt we were choking from the amount of miso soup salt, and our waitress couldn't even bring us water. We were so desperate we almost walked to the kitchen ourself to get water. The fish was fishy and gross. I feel violated, and bamboolzed. For this amount of money, I could've went to Katsuya. Save your money and your time,

SushiStop Studio City
11837 Ventura Blvd, Studio City, CA 91604, United States
Google erased my comment, so Ill try to re-create what I posted yesterday.... My friend and I went for lunch around 2:20. Each of us ordered 3 rolls to-go, plus I got 2 more for my roommate. All very basic rolls straight off the menu.We waited for nearly an hour, seeing delivery orders piling up inside that werent even getting picked up yet, and people outside on the patio who had come, been served, eaten, and left! Wed waited by the pickup window this entire time; there was no way to forget we were waiting for our food. We asked about it, and my order still wasnt finished. Since we asked about it, we thought theyd prioritize it (as it should have been from the beginning).Nope! Another 20 minutes goes past, and my friend finally says we dont want the orders, and want our money back. Then we got attitude from the girl at the window, telling us how busy they were (but werent too busy to serve people after us first?) My friend said the treatment wed gotten was unacceptable, and to refund us. Oh yeah, and my order STILL wasnt done! Then they tried to feed us a line about how only the manager could make refunds, and to come back tomorrow. Another customer whod come to the window by that point actually said, they always say to come back to speak to a manager, and theyre never here. WOWTo wrap things up, we had to go inside so they couldnt avoid us, and demand our money back. So now its after 4pm! What should have been a quick, basic lunch on our time off took all afternoon! We went to the location in Burbank, were treated 110% better, and were out the door with our food in 15 minutes. There was zero excuse for this kind of customer service, and neither of us will ever return to this location.

Yen Sushi & Sake Bar
12930 Ventura Blvd APT 120, Studio City, CA 91604, United States
I went here two days ago while visiting a friend in the Long Beach area. Yen has several other locations, including the one near my home in Studio City. The first thing I noticed when I got here was that this was a Korean owned franchise. Oh no. The menu consisted mainly of contemporary fancy rolls, as well as some other basic Japanese food that anybody can learn to cook really. Anyways, I gave the food a shot.I ordered yellowtail, albacore, and spanish mackerel nigiri sushi. Then my friend got a soft shell crab and salmon roll. After having tried a piece of everything, I concluded that the food here is 3 stars. Its not bad sushi like Todai or Sushi Mac. Its even a tad better than Mon, which is another Korean owned sushi franchise. Its just not on the same freshness/taste level as Noshi Sushi, Sushi Gen, Yotsuya, or even Oomasa. The rolls themselves were just okay too.Sure, the restaurant interior is nice, clean, and good for friendship outings. But if you want something great tasting, dont drive out of your way to eat here. Its not all that spectacular. I guess now I now how the Studio City location probably tastes like.

Kazu Sushi
11440 Ventura Blvd, Studio City, CA 91604, United States
Kazu Sushi was one of the latest sushi restaurants that Ive been to. Im a huge fan of omakase sushi restaurants, and this one didnt disappoint at all. In fact, it was one of the best omakase style sushi restaurants Ive ever been to.When I went, I sat at the bar and was served raw oysters, kanpachi, toro, blue fin tuna, sea eel, yellowtail, salmon, albacore, blue crab handroll, and others that I cant quite remember but were great. Everything was phenomenal. Fresh, melt in your mouth, and tasty. Especially their sea eel. One of the best sea eels that Ive ever had in a sushi restaurant. In all, I highly recommend this restaurant. Although the ambience is somewhat bare and practical, and the service somewhat on the lower side, its definitely the place to go soley for the food. Its probably the best sushi restaurant in Studio City, and Ive tried nearly all of them

Daichan
11288 Ventura Blvd F, Studio City, CA 91604, United States
A rare little Japanese restaurant amongst Studio City thats not actually a sushi place, but rather a more casual, traditional type of Japanese cuisine. Its definitely worth checking out.The food here is pretty good, although I wouldnt say its the best homestyle cooking Ive ever tried. After already visiting Japan twice as well as eating this kind of food in peoples homes, I can pretty much tell what is superb and whats close. Daichan, fortunately, is pretty close in taste. Here, Ive had the Japanese fried chicken, tuna poke bowl, grilled mackerel, and agedashi tofu on numerous visits.I definitely recommend this place. I can also appreciate the fact that the menu is so extensive and offers many kinds of Japanese foods rather than sushi or sashimi. So definitely take advantage of the cooked stuff instead of the raw fish, because you dont come here for sush

Iroha Sushi of Tokyo
12953 Ventura Blvd, Studio City, CA 91604, United States
One of my favorite Japanese restaurants in LA, and that is saying something. Been coming here for about 6 years. Discovered this little gem when I worked in the area and came (often) for lunch. The bento box is lit! I live 40 minutes away these days but still try to stop in a few times a month for dinner and have brought clients, coworkers and friends with me. Everyone always loves it. Has an encyclopedic set of menus (theres more than one) and literally has everything from udon and ramen, super high quality sashimi and sushi, to a number of cooked Japanese favorites as well as some special items. My favorites include the dynamite, gyoza, seafood miso soup, and the black cod.

Sushi Dan Studio City
11056 Ventura Blvd, Studio City, CA 91604, United States
Amazingly good sushi. Love it. Seared salmon belly sushi was to die for. I like my eel perfectly seared, warm, tender and crispy on the outside - not that common (many restaurants serve it cold and rubbery). Spanish mackerel is my benchmark sushi dish that lets me judge a Japanese restaurant and these guys nailed it. Highly recommend. The only thing that disappointed me a little - was the fact that they didnt have any red snapper. But overall its a solid 5/5 - excellent value too.

Asanebo
11941 Ventura Blvd, Studio City, CA 91604, United States
Have been to Asanebo numerous times and pre-covid it was my go-to for high quality non-gentrified sushi. It is still good but not the ultimate. Hopefully in the next few months it will be back.In my latest visit I found that the fish was generous in size but found the rice lacking in quality as well as the fish being good but not great. Also many of the menu items were not available, staff had to come back to our table numerous times to tell us that what we ordered was now sold-out. What was disappointing is that we observed many of the unavailable items served to other tables that ordered set menus long after we had finished our meal.Dont get me wrong I still will be back hoping the Asanebo of years past returns, however if you are planing to dine now be warned that Asanebo is still working out post-covid dining.
