Tokyo Steak
14317 Bear Valley Rd #1, Victorville, CA 92392, United States
It is a nice Japanese-style steakhouse. The main specialty of this restaurant, as you guessed it from the name, is steak. Of course, without steak, they serve other meals, such as sushi and sashimi, and even grilled shrimp. My visit to this establishment was in June of 2023, when I was visiting my relatives in High Desert. I decided to visit this restaurant, and have my dinner in this establishment. Oh boy, I was not disappointed. Usually, the place is packed. That day, they had available seats, to dine-in. The meals were delicious, and they were prepared in front of my eyes, the main meals, that is. The waitress was quick, helpful, and attentive. The atmosphere, too, was neat and welcoming. Of course, it could get pricey. If my memory serves me well, I had spent around $80.00 with the tip. So, if anyone wants to eat well in this restaurant, I would recommend to visit only if there are discretionary funds available. Otherwise, I would recommend to order light meals. Still, this is a worthy restaurant to visit in the High Desert!

Yoshi Sushi
14177 Kentwood Blvd, Victorville, CA 92392, United States
This use to be the best sushi I've ever had up until a few months ago. I would come here almost twice a month. Something has changed and it's all bad!!!I typically get the same rolls or rolls that all include the spicy tuna. The heart attack app has always been a favorite.A couple months ago, everything I ordered tasted like cat food and smelt like cat food. My husband gets the tempura rolls (not my thing) and I'd always try one piece. They were just uneatable! Way over fried. They remade them and they were ok. But still off. I was actually sick off a piece because it tasted so bland and like what I assume cat food taste like.We couldn't go back for a whole Nother month because we couldn't get the bad taste out of our mouth of how awful everything tasted. When we had brought it up to the servers attention, they said that they were training some new staff and trying new sauces so we figured they were just learning and chucked it up to that.We went back just recently, and the food has gotten even worse. My husband was not able to eat his rolls at all this time and they were cooked properly for a fried roll and I was able to eat mine, but it didn't taste good and we aren't the type to complain and have things remade or replaced or taken off the bill .When he asked the server if changes were made, if maybe they got a new supplier just inquire like maybe this was just temporary and asked to speak to the manager. The server was extremely rude, said the manager was busy and that if he didn't like it then don't come back. The floors have now been sticky for months. When ordering iced tea and they are making a fresh pot we are informed and asked if we wanted soda because it's gonna take about 15 minutes we always kindly state we are willing to wait. On the most recent visits to this location when the server informs us that the it has to be made because it ran out, they don't ever give an option to wait. They are always pushing a fountain drink like they are not trained to ask if customers are willing to wait for the ice tea. Then when it was done, they said it's still hot and that they could bring us a soda. We had to suggest just filling the cup full of ice and pouring the hot tea over it. Even then, the service seemed reluctant to do that and went and talk to another server before bringing us the drinks that way. This was one of our favorite places to go and used to have the best sushi in the High Desert and due to the way the server acted when asked for manager and told us if we didn't like it. We didn't have to come back even if this place was to correct the food issues, we would not be returning

Seoul Garden Korean B.B.Q
15449 Anacapa Rd, Victorville, CA 92392, United States
Alright first off lets just say the cleanliness of this restaurant is awful. The employees grab the brisket with their bare hands (even after dealing with the cash register). For some reason no one is expected to wash their hands regularly to avoid cross contamination when dealing with raw meat. The prep lady in the back (Kim) also touches everyone's food with no hand protection. For example, if you want to order French fries for your kid she'll pick out the ones she feels aren't good with her fingers. They use the same rag to clean tables to clean up raw meat juice and there is no hand sanitizer bucket being regularly replaced to keep things clean. It is also very cold in the restaurant due to the manager (Peter) not wanting to spend extra money hence why there is so many people complaining of the cold environment while eating. Soju is also overpriced and you're better off getting it from the liquor store on 11th and bear valley for $4.99. They also leave dishes in the back if they close too late causing roaches to come. The grills need to be replaced but the owner is too cheap or unaware to fix them even tho it takes forever to cook when only one side of the grill is lit. They charge automatic gratuity even when the servers are rude. (They can take off the gratuity so if they tell you they can't bc of the system they are lying) The lead server (Maritza H.) likes to drink with customers and also likes to give the underage staff member's alcohol as well.( The manager Peter is aware and simply told her to stop instead of writing her up) If you call to see when last seating is done she likes to tell you at least 30-60 mins (last seating is at 8:30pm btw) before then so she doesn't have to deal with last minute customer bc they tend to “not tip well”. She also discriminates against people of color bc they “don't tip well” and they're “loud and rude”. She'll also charge extra gratuity on bigger tables if she finds you being “difficult” towards her. The handicap stall in the restroom is always out of service bc they simply won't fix it. It's constantly smoky during dinner hours bc instead of changing grills regularly they get grease fires and like to douse the grill that's on fire with baking soda, which gets all over your table and food. Honestly is just better to avoid this place due to food hazards and safety hazards. Avoid this place!!! TRUST ME I KNOW WHAT GOES ON HERE!!!!

Kobe Japan
Victorville, CA 92392, United States
I grew up in this town and the thing I miss the most is Edo. Well now its called Kobe but I know it in my heart as Edo. My parents ate at this place for as long as I can remember. I was okay with my McDonalds as a kid, Subway and Panda as I was entering double digits. I never understood why my parents liked it.Then, I got into it a year before I moved out of Victorville. I really wished I ate there sooner. I truly miss the glossy teriyaki sauce thats poured into the chicken and noodle plater. Ive gone back to visit family and whenever I go, I have to go and get an order before I leave town. Most of the time the whole family goes and we all get an order and we end up staying till closing time because we just enjoy our time together while enjoying our platers.Heres the deal, I got the habit of scrambling my whole bowl at different establishments so I can make sure I get an equal serving of everything, but I just cant bring myself to shake the plater or mix it around with my fork because its just not right to do it to something so good, pure and of my few instant connections to my past. It just brings me back to simpler times, where the world was simple in the eyes of a child. It would remind me of when I couldnt even finish the damn thing, but I sure did try. It just really brings me back like when I watch Toy Story or My Neighbor Totoro. When youre watching the movie and finish it, you feel all happy and bubbly because the story just made you feel like a kid again. The first time I was to return to Edo, I was excited to not just only get a plater but to come back and try their new (to my knowledge) bento order. When I did return, it was instantly my favorite option on the menu. Not just only was it a teriyaki chicken plater but it came with sushi and Fried Gyozas. It was the complete package. Just an absolute meal one could have. Especially now because they now sell boba. They didnt have that when I was growing up.Nothing has been able to replace this place nor do I believe any other place will. Yes, I do have another favorite place that I grew up eating at but that place has history in my family and its reserved for a few times in the year or a family gathering. However Kobe, is the food I long for but I cant reach it since Ive moved. Making it evermore desirable and it is just better overall.I really hope yall take care of it for me and I know, in return, itll take care of you with a steaming, hot plater, full to the lid.

Just Grill It Teriyaki House
14375 7th St, Victorville, CA 92395, United States
I love this place, by far my favorite teriyaki house in the area. The sauce is perfect, and doesnt taste overwhelming to the point of sugar rush. The bowls are reasonably priced, and the beef is tender, not chewy like jerky. Though a little run down looking, Just Grill It is my go to teriyaki place whenever Im in the area.

It is a nice Japanese restaurant, located in Victorville. Of course, it is located not in the nicest area of Victorville. Nevertheless, the meals, that I did order, were delicious. At the same time, the staff, who worked during my visit, were helpful and attentive. The place, too, was neat, and there was ample of space, to sit down, and enjoy ordered meals. Of course, pricewise, it is not a cheap establishment, and when ordering several sushi meals, prices do add up. Thus, I would recommend a visit to this place, only when discretionary funds are available. Still, a lot might have changed, from my last visit in June of 2023.

Young Dim Sum
12209 Hesperia Rd F, Victorville, CA 92395, United States
Update :Finally got round to trying the stir fried beef with rice sticks. Its a passable version of the dish in sgv, Ive had better and I had worse. Given the low low price its a stonking best buy. Xlb soup dumplings was the same as last time, which scored points for consistency, and its the reason why my friend was addicted and insisted to go there. Also the wonton soup improved: the soup has a deeper flavor and it came together better. Id upgrade it from average to above average. Both could stand comparison to some of the specialist joints in sgv, so save the drive downhill for cravings.Im surprised theres dim sum (small snack like dishes) in Victorville, and I wish them every success as this is one measure if our town is boring or not. All dim sum at a jaw droppingly cheap $4,50.I would split the food I tried into three groups: 1) really good and firmly recommended - hakow (shrimp dumplings ), siumai (pork dumplings ), spareribs and chicken paws;2) recommended with slight reservation : charsiu (roast pork ) bun [dough too soft, may need more kneading or less time steaming, filling was great], xlb Shanghai soup dumplings [seasoning slightly bland, but it has flowing juice so nothing wrong with execution ], egg fried rice [slightly enthusiastic on the oil but flavor was good]3) tasted different from dim sum of the same name as those in sgv, recommended to try at the minimal cost of one go-cup coffee, you may like them - wonton soup, beef balls, chives shrimp cake, and dai bao. For example beef balls resemble more Thai style beef balls with tendons, or dai bao was a giant chicken bun and other ingredients thats traditional with dai bao, but in itself theres nothing wrong with that as long as the taste is okay. Except dont go down to sgv and yell at people for infringement of trades descriptions act of 1963. Everyone can defend themselves by saying its how their grandma cook that.Stir fried beef with rice sticks are sold out at 3pm, so its a hot item. Will return to rectify this omission with update. Never say the high desert dont know a good thing when they see one

Samurai Sushi
14464 7th St, Victorville, CA 92395, United States
Out of all the Japanese restaurants in Victorville, Samurai Sushi is the finest. Their lobby is unique and rather interesting, considering that it feels quite welcoming. Food there is fresh (seriously) and deliscious, each plate served in generous portions. I love this place, its my hidden gem of a sorts, I ask in favor to stop by and enjoy the authenticity.

BE AWARE!!!!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!The worst place here in Victorville!!!! Awful. Service from start to finish was terrible. The food was not very good quality and was overpriced. I order two shrimp plates and drinks. On one of the plate meal there was hair on the rice. I brought it up to the OWNER attention who didnt even offer an apology and instead said very rude no refunds or exchange for another plate. Started screaming in her language. Couldnt understand what she was saying.I didnt want the money back. An apology would have been sufficient instead of the gruff and rude response I received as if it was my fault noticing the hair on my plate. This place is very overpriced. Food is not even good. More than 50 dollars for two plates and drinks and the owner did not display any respect. Will never return! It was overall a very bad experience. If you ask me, ZERO stars!!!
