Quality Korean BBQ AYCE in Diamond Bar. Meats are high quality especially on their premium AYCE menu. Banchan is just OK, but meats are carefully chosen. No frills KBB restaurant. Just indulge on your cravings of good KBB AYCE. Not crowded either.
Yupdduk Diamond Bar
1131 1/2, S Brea Canyon Rd, Diamond Bar, CA 91789, United States
Korean restaurant with spicy offerings. They’re currently open for delivery (à la UberEats) / takeout during covid. Came here on a Sunday for lunch; called ahead and my food was ready ~20 min later. There’s plenty of parking as it’s located in a lot. Credit cards are accepted. Service is polite and efficient.Food wise, the menu is focused on bringing the heat. They have tteokbokki (rice cakes in a red stew with fish cakes, mozzarella cheese, and noodles). It’s comfort food, and you can opt for more fish cake or more rice cake (same price). One order could feed three to four people. You can opt for add-one; we got the Chinese noodles for an additional $3. It’s suuuuper chewy; it seems popular based on other reviews, but next time, I’d rather try ramen noodles. There were only three sausages in our order but plenty of fish cake. We also got an order of spicy wings (comes with 12). The food is very flavorful. You can customize the spice level - we opted for original, and I had to drink five glasses of water due to the spice (it was so worth it!). Overall, I really liked the food for the taste, portion, and price. I’d recommend coming here when you want to get some spicy, homey food.
Flame Broiler
275 W Birch St Suite G-2, Brea, CA 92821, United States
On 9/16 I placed an order on the flame broiler website, the delivery guy never even attempted to deliver it. I called the delivery service, they said I have to get the company to request a refund, I called the store and spoke to a manager and he said he was incapable of doing that, this is not true. He said hed call me back its been a week no call. Ive called back twice with no response. I really like flame broiler but this store is run terribly. Dont go here they will try and steal your money. Go to the la habra blvd one instead.Update: The manager got in touch with me about week after I posted this review and gave me a full refund. Changing rating to 5 stars based on food quality and then making this right.

Customer service from the valet to the cashier needs to improve: 6/10. The valet guys were the first impression, and they failed since they were rude.Waiting time with NO reservations allowed: We waited in line for around 10 mins to approach the cashier. You order before being seated and choose your seats. I heard you could go straight to the counter to call main dishes if you dont order cakes/bakery ( dont take my word, please double-check with them). Since there were people in line and it was my first time, I just observed and saw a couple of people go straight in, and I thought they cut the waiting line.Space: pretty big, and they have different areas (front with window views or in the middle, the bar, back, and outdoor seating when you go to the back of the restaurant near the restroom). They also have an area where kids can learn how to bake.Decorations: beautiful with French style and impressive area at the kitchen/cooking area.Best place to sit? Front at the windows or the middle of the restaurant to enjoy the ambiance with natural lights and open space. We ordered: a Belgian Waffle and added some eggs and bacon steak. Also, a slide of cheesecake for dessert, and it was greasy and middle sweet. Basic, but you can get more suggestions from Yelps or photos. The demographic that surprised me was lots of Korean and other Asians more than group since Im Asian, and it made me wonder if this place is Korean-owned or what? LOL. I will look into it since Im curious now. It might be a spot for cute photos or check-in :DDress code: When we saw and arrived at the location, we were a bit concerned about how we dressed since we got comfy clothes since it was cold, but some people dressed up. General, people dress; differently, I guess, so its not a big deal if you arent here a look decent enough as long as the food is good, right? So go for it!

Very Good KOREAN FRIED CHICKEN RESTAURANT on BREA. Highly recommend this place. This is great place.
PanHolic Brea

Jjangmyeon (2/5): unimpressed and it’s only a step above the stuff you get in the instant noodle packs. Not sure how they can charge $12 for a bowl of noodles with less than an ounce of meat in it when pho is around $15… Can’t believe the star dish of the restaurant was so underwhelming.Sweet & Sour Pork “ttangsyuk”: (1.5/5) This tasted alright when it immediately came out. But as I started eating more and more of it I realized how flavorless the sauce was and how poorly trimmed the pork was. Almost every piece had a grisly peace of fat, tendon, ligament that was unpleasant to chew through and I feel like the fryer they are using is underpowered or something because only the exterior was crispy while the interior wasn’t cooked all the way through.Service: nonexistent/5The lady working here looks like she is on her last leg and every time we asked her for something that she seemingly forgot, it felt like we were asking her to do a monumental favor because she looked sleepy/sick. It’s not the best representation of a restaurant when their only front of house worker looks like they’re about to faint at any given moment.I’m not sure how a Korean/chinese fusion restaurant is going to do in Brea especially when the food is trash.Bring back the pho place
Trader Joes
2500 E Imperial Hwy, Brea, CA 92821, United States
Trader joe's has been my fun and happy go to place. No complaints shopping at TJs for the past 20 plus years. My usual TJs were in beach cities in southbay and their incredible friendly customer service and vibe always made me feel comfortable to stop by a few times a week.I've come to this particular TJs for the past two months and i've never left the store with pleasant feelings which is rare.Staff are not attentive. They do not even bother greet customers. Even after eye contacts made. They don't smile at customers unlike other TJs. Their bagging skills are below average and throwing fruit bags are the worst.Especially the cashier “V, Davina” who attended me this afternoon was rude and unprofessional. She was chatty with a customer before me but then when I said Hi to her in my turn she didn't even respond. She started throwing my apple bags (4 of them along with avocado bag) on the conveyor and I was already getting a little uncomfortable with that. She then asked me a few things and even the tone of her voice and facial expressions were unpleasant for customer would mistake that she hates working at TJs or she does not like to attend the customer. The whole time she was scanning and bagging my items she just seemed careless. Hard to believe that quite a lot of staff at this location have given me that impression. The highlight is She didn't even realize that she dropped an item off the conveyor until she was done with her job and didn't even say sorry.I am writing this review in the parking lot hoping staff will be trained better on a regular basis for better customer service.Never happened in my 20plus years with TJs but this store. I will try other location.Very disappointing experience..This location doesn't deserve 4.7 compared to other locations.
Mutiara Food & Market
225 S La Brea Ave, Inglewood, CA 90301, United States
My first time ever trying Burmese food. The service was excellent as the server helped narrowing down my choices because I wanted to try everything. I went on the weekend so I decided to get items that were only offered on the weekend - curry chicken noodle and the tofu salad. I was told that was more than enough for 1 person. I ordered a hot milk tea and it was made with condensed and it was delicious. I slurped down the noodle and empty the bowl. The noodles were perfect in chewiness and it soaked the flavor of the broth that I wouldnt mind having just by itself. The Burmese tofu salad was unique to me because Ive never tried tofu made with garbanzo bean. It was definitely filling. If you like fish sauce with dried shrimp for saltiness and slightly tangy from lemon juice and chilli powder to taste for some heat, well then you must try the salad. I liked the texture; it is fuller, less delicate than soy, much like Korean rice jello, very cooling.
Pho Tay Bac Restaurant
860 W Imperial Hwy # A, Brea, CA 92821, United States
I have been going to this spot for the last 7 years. I am usually on a low carb diet. So I typically order Pho soup, NO NOODLES exta steak and extra onion!! No carbs doesnt mean no flavor!! I compare every Pho spot I go to to this place!! Its a small shop but there food is always hot and ready!! I call ahead and when I get there my table is ready with my drink and condiments as I walk in. I always feel so welcome. They get my food out fast. The broth is a light brown and is always packed with flavor. I will always come back here. Best PHO EVER!! The BBQ Pork on the side is amazing. I have not found another sport with this flavor. The egg rolls are always hot and crunchy.
Met Her At A Bar
759 S La Brea Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90036, United States
This is a small little restaurant that serves breakfast through about lunchtime. Emphasis on small. There are a few larger tables, but most will only seat 2 people. And they are relatively close together. Our plates barely fit on the table when they arrived, which meant we had to spend a few minutes kind of tetris-ing to get them to fit. Which was annoying, Im not gonna lie.The music is very loud. Like you have to lean over the table toward whomever youre talking to to be able to hear them. Or you have to talk louder, which I dont like. The food itself is good. My husband got the chicken and waffles, and he enjoyed them very much. I got the fruity pebbles waffle, which wasnt bad at all. The presentation of if was beautiful. The waffle, in my opinion, didnt have as much flavor as it shouldve.I also got a side of over medium eggs and waffle fries, and my husband got a side of sausage. The eggs were insanely undercooked. They were barely cooked. My husband doesnt even like eggs very much, and he ate them cause I stopped after one bite. The waffle fries were cooked but were not crispy. They could have used another minute in the fryer for my taste. The sausage was decent. My husband also got a pineapple mimosa and said the ratio of alcohol to juice was very nice. And after a taste, I thought it was pretty good too.One complaint that I personally take up with restaurants, and more a warning to other patrons - they wont do any kind of substitutions. Which I understand to an extent. But it mostly just reads to me as rude because they think they have the best food ever. And they dont. And I personally hate having to disclose allergies (aka private medical information) to get a restaurant to agree to leave something off a sandwich, for example. I should be able to say, No avocado, please, without having to justify myself. But maybe thats just a pet peeve of mine. I dont think that I should have to settle for something else, that I didnt really want, cause whoever is cooking thinks that they know food better. Especially at a place like this that charges SO MUCH.Thats overall gist, really - it was good, and we will probably go again. But it wasnt great, and it was very expensive. So if youre not on a budget and you dont have any allergies or picky eaters, then this is a nice spot.
