Have you ever Order something so simple and when you picked it up it was completely the wrong thing? I can blame myself for not checking my order while I was there, but I was sort of kind of in a hurry.. My question is do the employees who answer the phone here at Flame Broiler really Listen or are they just to overwhelmed by the amount of business thats coming through the doors? Not sure but I spoke to the lady who answered the phone and had to repeat myself multiple times and my order was super duper simple. I said three mixed chicken and beef bowls no veggies with white rice. Didnt think that was to hard to understand. But she repeated my order and said, Yeah Ok, three chicken bowls brown rice. I said no, three mixed chicken and beef no veggies white rice. And she said it again. I had to ask her if she was listening to me and she responded yes. I asked her to repeat my order and she said three chicken bowls with steak and white rice.. I get there and pay for my meal take it to work sit down, and what do I find? Chicken brown rice and veggies..I called this evening to ask for the manager and the lady who answered said huh? The manager is not here, I asked when will she be in? She said I dont know try in the morning. I said heres my number and the lady either could not understand what I was saying or she was not entirely equipped to be answering phones at this establishment because it took her 5 different tries and 3 minutes to get it right.. come in Flame Broiler you couldnt hire someone who can at least understand English or Numbers for that matter.. wow.. very disappointed with what use to be my favorite quick bite to eat.. definitely dropped down on my list of good places to grub.. sorry but had to write this I was sooooo mad.. so here is your review flame broiler get it right next time.. we will see if the manager calls me tomorrow..

I dont recommend it, bad service, terrible service, they charge you for the order but they give you what they want, for example, my order was regular and they gave me mini boll and when I complained, they still charged me two dollars more, meaning my order came out at 9.80 and .25 cents for an extra magic sauce the Chinese is charging for a regular order and gives you mini boll beware at the time I was there several people complained
Bonchon

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!We came in around 6PM on Saturday night. There were 2 people of our group of 5 came in first and were told that they would only seat us with the full party. We understood and willing to wait until our friends came in even though there were still many open tables. After we decided what to order, it took 15 mins to get the server's attention and finally someone came to our table to take order. (It was a Saturday night and there were only 2 servers on the floor...)Things got worst when 1 of our friend who was currently sick and she wanted to change table to inside (we were seated at the table next to the main entrance, very cold and windy since people keep open the door to get in and out). 1 of us decided to ask the male server (not wearing nametag so I couldn't know his name) if he could kindly move us to the table next to us (there were 2 open tables next to our table). At that time, he was just bussing the table, not even looked at the person who was talking to him and replied “No, I can't. Sorry”. My other friend approached him again after 5 minutes and explained the situation, he replied “If you get cold, other guests will get cold too.” - with a very rude and cold tone of voice then walk away without saying something like “Sorry for the inconvenience.” (It seemed like you didn't care about your customers.)We were very disappointed about the poor customer service and decided to leave because we couldn't accept that bad attitude from the server. Before we left, we told the other female server that we would cancel our food. She just replied “Okay” without asking what happened. This isn't my first time here in Bonchon. I like their chicken so that's why I'm bringing my friends here to enjoy but it might be the last time I visit.

Food was average at best. Meats were quite unremarkable and tastes like any frozen TV dinner that you just microwaved at home. There was only 2 other people in the store and it took our order around 30 minutes to come out....Got dragged here by a disgruntled family member but I will honestly never go back to a flame broiler again.Food: 3/10Service: 3/10

The best bingsoo I've had in California! 10/10! What makes this place stand out is that the shave ice they use isn't just plain ice, it's actually premixed with different flavors such as milk, matcha, black sesame, and chocolate. The texture of the ice is so creamy, literally melts in your mouth! All of the syrups and mochi are made in house, which is pretty amazing! You can tell the owners put a lot of love into their desserts. I also loved the ambiance of the place. It's a nice place to hang out with your friends and chat, a great date spot, and also a good place to bring your laptop and get some work done. Also, it's dog friendly! They serve a puppicino, which is essentially a cup of whipped cream, and dogs love it!What I ordered:-mango bingsoo (ahhhhhmazing! If you're a mango lover like me, you NEED this in your life)-cheddar cheese mochi waffle (the best surprise ever ! I love a good sweet/savory mix and loved the mochi texture of the waffle!)-black sesame latte (creamy and milky, just the way I like it)-vanilla latte (my husband ordered this, and he really enjoyed it!)

Good food places in a corner building of the South Coast Mall along Bristol. It has A fine dining, a ramen shop, sandwich shop and a couple of dessert shops and there are restaurants lined up to open (soon?) For your point of reference, it's connected to the Bloomingdale's store and there's plenty of parking. I've been here a couple of times and I can say that the food is good but I only gave it 4 stars for the wait time. Don't come here if you're very hungry. If you really wanted to dine here, check in, do some shopping and come back. If you can't wait that long, I suggest go someplace else and try the many options inside and outside the mall.
Eats Sushi
1175 Baker St E25, Costa Mesa, CA 92626, United States
Shared on Yelp, but I wanted to share here too.Eats Sushi is a quirky name, but absolutely a gem of a sushi place and great in quality. I happened upon this place because my friend and I went to grab coffee at the Anti Lab area, and we both were craving sushi for a second lunch. *cue Hobbit themesong*.I loved the sushi here so much because the quality is fresh and the food is delicious. Loved the food so much that I took a family member back for a second time within the following week. There can be a wait time depending on when you go. When my friend and I went, we put our name on the waitlist and waited for 30 minutes for two people. The second time I went with a family member and there was no wait, so we were seated immediately.Service is wonderful from the two times I went, and I believe its because its Lisa who was our server. Shes incredibly kind and warm, making our experience at this restaurant even more welcoming. The second time when I went with a family member, my family member is special needs, and Lisa was so accommodating in helping make this experience just as comfortable for my family member. The décor was also adorable. I think the way they utilize the space is amazing for what they have to work with. The food truly was delicious, and service was great. I highly recommend their miso soup, Black Spider Roll, Caliente Roll, and the Baked Scallop rolls. The rolls were tasty, flavorful, and so fresh. Would 10/10 recommend.
Seabirds Kitchen
2930 Bristol St, Costa Mesa, CA 92626, United States
This was my second time to Seabirds Kitchen. The first time I came with my sister to try this vegan restaurant.Seabirds used to be a vegan food truck.Eventually they opened a physical restaurant at The Lab.I was so impressed with the food the first time.I had to take Dr. P back to try this place. We sat at the outdoor area for an early dinner.Because we had our puppies with us.Our waitress brought two cups of water for the pups.Dr. P got a beer, and I ordered a lemonade. There's strawberry in the lemonade, and unlimited refill, too. This was the vegan grilled cheese I have been drooling just thinking about it.How did they make vegan grilled cheese taste this good? It's even better than the real grilled cheese. The basil avocado sauce made the dish!If you can only order one item, I would highly recommend getting the grilled cheese. The fries was so good with the seasoning salt.Their homemade ketchup and sauce was perfect with the fries. They have 3 different types of tacos, and we tried all of them.My favorite was the grilled mushroom taco.Dr. P's favorite was the kimchi taco.Their taco is full of flavor. Very filling also.We were so full at this point. So only had a few bites of the Holy Smokes Bowl and took the rest home.Love this vegan bowl filled with healthy and nutritious veggie goodies. The sauces are so good.Even though we were full, the waitress highly recommended their fresh berries pop tart.We couldn't resist and order one to try.It tasted like a fresh berries pie with lots of yummy tart berries inside the pie dough. We enjoyed our vegan dinner at Seabirds Kitchen.Dr. P doesn't really like any vegan restaurant. This is the first vegan restaurant he loves and said he wants to come back again. We should be back again soon.
Fermentation Farm
1125 Victoria St Suite R, Costa Mesa, CA 92627, United States
Love this place so much! I've been a regular for over a year now and will drive 30 min just to come here. I rarely eat out or buy prepared foods, because most of it is just full of junk and cooked with inflammatory seed oils and low quality ingredients. Fermentation Farm is one of the very few places where I feel comfortable eating out, knowing that the food is healthy and nourishing made with great ingredients. If you're into the whole Weston A Price, Ray Peat, Paleo, etc. philosophy, then you will absolutely love this place! Either way you will probably love it and there are many great resources to learn more - classes and books. The employees are really friendly and passionate about health as well. Coming here was a big part of my transition from being a vegan for four years ?introducing back high quality animal foods one thing at a time while supporting my gut health changed my life for the better! However, if you prefer plant based still there are so many options for that tooEverything tastes amazing and there are so many cool things available. We always stock up our fridge with fermented foods, condiments, raw dairy and broths from here.
