Shik Do Rak Restaurant
14805 Jeffrey Rd H, Irvine, CA 92618, United States
-Update-They have a All You Can Eat menu and its not limited to special days anymore :). Still delicious and my favorite place in Irvine!---------------------Note: AYCE is only Monday-Thursday and lunch time on Saturday (maybe Sunday). So, you can imagine my sadness when I went there for dinner Saturday Night. I got a parking space right in front, when I know there is usually at least an hour wait =(. I shared a combo 3 with my bro and our AYCE session turned out to be around 90 bucks after tip and beer instead of $20 bucks a person. My first experience of Shik Do Rak was in Ktown in LA. I still will never forget the images of my friends birthday. Go there in a group and bring a cake and the birthday boy or girl will be sprayed with Champagne MTV Cribs or Jayz Big Pimpin style. So when I saw a Shik Do Rak in Irvine, I flock to it like 21 year old does to Vegas.Combo 3 comes with Kalbi, thin beef, pork belly, and soju or beer. I substituted the pork belly for more beef and the soju for beer. I was ready to enjoy, but did not go full korean style; therefore, the soju will be next time. Dont worry I did not drive home drunk, but I did go home with a food coma. I recommend getting the Blueberry yogurt for dessert at the end. It taste like blueberry bubble gum to me. It also reminds of Yogurtland, but just eat the free yogurt shot cup and save your money.I recommend going during AYCE! I truly enjoyed the Korean bbq experience and the fresh side dishes. Usually most Korean bbq, only gives meat, salad (lettuce), wraps and hot sauce, but Shik Do Rak include ALL the standard side dishes you will find at a Korean restaurant. My stomach was full, but my wallet was left empty. For $40 a person, I rather hit up Wynn Buffet or some lobster. AYCE meat in Irvine with beer MMMmmm. Gun Bae

Kaju Soft Tofu Restaurant
5408 Walnut Ave, Irvine, CA 92604, United States
I always loved kaju but this spot is even better. the employees is what makes it great.I usually eat the usual here because its what I crave for. I always wanted to try other things but my usual just wins all the time hahaMy usual:The highest level of tofu soup with intestines. My friend told me to get oysters and add intestines, and this time I did that. GAME CHANGER!!! SO GOOD! getting this way from now on...alwayswith that, will get beef galbi.my friends and I would just share a combo and order an extra tofu soup so we dont have to share.New things I tried:Seafood Pancakes - ahhh love it. it is packed with all these seafood. every bite literally has seafood in it. Shrimp, octopus, etc. its huge too! You either just have to eat that solo and not order anything else or share it with friends. I recommend sharing it. Only thing I would request is have they make it more crispy.Bibimbap... I never tried it at Kaju and wanted to. I couldnt decided which one to choose from. Either the mushroom or seafood. I thought, lets keep this day all seafood. and wow! glad I chose seafood. I now know that I will be ordering this in the future.

BCD Tofu House

I had high expectations and it didnt deliver. I got the spicy pork bulgogi combo and for take out, it took 45 min to get the food. The spicy pork, steamed rice, and kimchi were absolutely delicious but, thats really where that ends. They give you a 5 inch whole deep fried mackerel wrapped in tin foil. Eye ball and all, with mouth wide open, I didnt mind the presentation but, others might. Be super careful though. The bones are obviously still there; they are small and very sharp being inedible. With more work to eat it than its worth.Dont be fooled by the bubbling soup they show and bring out as a side. I was excited about this but, it disappointed greatly. Its barely, I mean barely seasoned. It has meat and tofu in it and thats it. It was eating a spoonful of oil and unseasoned meat or large chunks of tofu depending on the bite. The heavy oil made me start to have a gag reflex so, I had to stop trying to eat it.The dumplings werent the best either. Very basic and not worth the money.Teriyaki chicken is better at flame broiler and half the price.I was a dollar short of spending $40 here for sub-par food. I will easily choose another restaurant in the future. The only things this place has going for it are: they give a lot of food, that its open late, there are dine in tables (outside seating), the staff was nice, and the restrooms are open to customers only. These are the only reasons I gave them 2 stars and not 1.If youre determined to go, you can find things that are decent, however, they might not be worth the price.

Nice Korean restaurant. You can order the usual Korean dishes, or try their very large Fried Pork Chop; it should satisfy even the most hungry dinners. Price is reasonable for Korean in Irvine.

Very disappointed!! On a few things one is I Called before coming here to let them know it was a family members birthday. I asked if I have to make reservations on my phone the male voice said no reservation needed and they would do a little something for her birthday to help celebrate it. We arrive and we noticed the front door is wide open, meanwhile the my sat us party of 6 by the door. I noticed there where lots of flies everywhere and the A/C wasn't working and it was 1:45pm in the afternoon over 94 degrees very hot! We where seated quickly the waitress was fast and brought us drinks quickly, the food meat quality was good. She was consistent until they switched us to a waiter that never came to the table to refill any drinks and didn't replenish the little dishes like potato salad and kimchi. He kept lowering the flame so our food barely would cook. Towards the end I was expecting the staff to something special for her birthday. They never did all they did was provide us a check!!! I spoke to the manager and he said they DO NOT do anything for someone's birthday! I said I spoke to someone already, he apologized and I was disappointed. The service was Very Bad!!! It was Hot! No A/C and a lot of flies at this place. I drove here from Anaheim Hills just to have a terrible experience. Over priced

Honey Pig BBQ

Ill say, this is the best cook- your own bbq on the huge metal pot-lid cover Korean restaurant in Irvine. They have many selective meats such as beef, pork, shrimp, octopus and many variety of side dishes. They refills Kim-chi, beat sprouts, salad as much as you want and make the fried rice after the bbq.Great place for family/ friends lunch and dinner. The owner is always there during the business hours to serve the customers with big smile in his face and work as hard as other employees. This one is highly recommend

Amazing food. Best restaurant I’ve been to in Irvine. The Korean fried chicken and chicken teriyaki bowl were the best things ever.

Doore Korean Restaurant

I ordered boochu jokbal today and found out there was no boochu in my jokbal. I called them to get refund but they told me that they will give me the ‘free jokbal' the next time I place an order and asked my number so they know it's me in the future. But 20 minutes later, I receive a call from them saying they changed their mind about the ‘free jokbal' deal. They wanted me to bring the boochu-missing-jokbal to them in order to give me the credit. If they told me this at first, I would have totally brought them as they wished even if it was wasting my time and money. They were the first one to say they will offer me the free jokbal next time I come to them without any condition when I called them to request the refund. But then later change their mind...It is really ridiculous...They have poor customer service and I am not a satisfied customer!

BBQ Chicken Irvine
2750 Alton Pkwy #111, Irvine, CA 92606, United States
BBQ Chicken is Korean food? What? The name always throws me off. Especially, if you are looking for some Southern Food. This is a different kind of Seoul Food.I was a bit skeptical at first, because the idea of Olive fried chicken is about as appealing as a Diet Coke. I always cook with Olive oil, but I hate to break it to you (health nuts) but deep frying in Olive Oil is the same as any oil. If you use gallons of oil, theres no health benefit over vegetable or canola. Also, vegetable oil has a high smoking point making it ideal for frying, but Olive oil will taste like burnt candles if heated over a certain temperature. I promise I will not bore you with anymore food science. If you are trying to stay health by eating Olive Oil fried chicken, go somewhere else and peel the skin off or dab your pizza, because this place like a diet soda IS NOT HEALTHIER. Also, be prepared to pay a butt-load for Fried Chicken which is normally a relatively cheap food.To be honest with you the food at BBQ Chicken real isnt that bad. Every time I go the restaurant is packed and has a decent atmosphere. I never really had much trouble with service. The servers try to be extra friendly, but I have heard complaints about servers that dont give much service to women. Thats understandable haha jk. Sometimes women tend to get jealous of other women...However, for the price and the value. The chicken Meh! A whole chicken cost about 20 dollars roughly after tax for about 8 pieces. It is not finger licking good. I hate to copy another review..but go to KFC instead. Personally, after eating I felt like driving the 15 or 20 miles to go Popeyes instead. $20 probably would get a nice 20 piece bucket of spicy Louisiana style friend chicken. If money is not an issue and you are looking for Korean food with a twist, give it a try. If you are looking for Fried Chicken, go elsewhere. Sometimes Korean Mixes are good like Amerie, very hot! However, BBQ Chicken is not recommend for hardcore Fried Chicken lovers.

Authentic Korean soup restaurant. Clean interior and kind service. Glad to have one here in Irvine since I was a huge fan of moobonri LA.
