Teri & Yaki
229 N Lake Ave, Pasadena, CA 91101, United States
Decent Teriyaki spot that makes for a good quick, quick lunch if youre in the area.ITEMS ORDERED:Beef & Chicken Plate (brown rice, white meat)&Chinese Chicken SaladOne win here is they do not upcharge for brown rice or choosing to to get all white meat chicken.TASTE:All these teriyaki places are quite similar. Its just really how good their sauce is & how well they cook their proteins are major factors.Sauce here is not the best teriyaki sauce Ive had, little too sweet for me here, but adding in some chili paste fixed that & brought the flavor together much better. I would say both the beef & chicken were just a little too try. Nothing so bad though & in argument of the chicken, it was white meat. The rice was not overcooked or mushy which is good. I really enjoyed the fresh cucumber side. Its a little pickled (sutble sweetness & just a little tart). The salad is a little too basic but overall tastes good. It needs to at least have carrots in it. Its really just some shredded chicken breast, romaine lettuce & fried wontons. The dressing kind of reminds me of that sesame dressing that many people seem to purchase at Costco, but more tart, which I like.SERVICE, LOCATION & PARKINGThis was a pickup order through Doordash so I did have minimal interaction with staff. But the lady who have me my order did seem very nice. They are located on Lake Ave, but youll want to turn onto Locust St, where they have a small parking lot in the back. Youll see their sidewalk sign pointing you where to go.Im open to grabbing a quick meal again if Im craving teriyaki.
Flame Broiler
2335 E Colorado Blvd #100, Pasadena, CA 91107, United States
This Flame Broiler location is clean and efficient. I love Flame Broiler because of the options... there arent very many, but it seems like a ton!First you pick the size of your bowl. Regular is a great portion for most people. Next you select the bottom/foundation of your bowl: rice (brown or white), veggies, or a combo of both. Then you select your protein: beef, chicken, or tofu (or a beef/chicken combo). They make it up for you in the back and when its ready, you pick your sauce based on how spicy you want it.I like to get a bowl with brown rice and tofu, and magic sauce (not spicy... im too white for my own good - haha!). Im not vegetarian, but they cook their tofu very well here. This location had a steady stream of customers, but it was never busy or crowded. The parking lot was a challenge for us with our big truck, but there was plenty of parking on top of Vons. We stopped here for lunch before an afternoon at the Huntington Library, and Im glad we did! Highly recommended!

Young, hip Korean restaurant that blasts K-pop and is decorated in a fun way. The food is good and the vibes are great. A fun night out with friends.
Su-Beoreg & Monta Factory
1531 E Washington Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91104, United States
I gave a five-star rating to Monta Factory in Glendale as a gift for Sarges wedding by driving several tense miles to get there. This was my second visit to a factory-named restaurant in the past three days, and I was eager to try their signature dish.I live in Pasadena, where the original Monta Factory is located on Washington Blvd. It only opens on Tuesdays, unlike the Glendale location, which opens every day. However, when I arrived at the Pasadena location this Tuesday, there was a note posted on the door stating that the restaurant was closed from February 7 to February 21 because the owner was getting married. Congratulations to them!Despite this setback, I was still craving Monta Factorys food, so I decided to make the drive to the Glendale location, which is owned by the same person. To be honest, I had never tried Monta before - I had only seen it on YouTube. I ordered a small box of Monta that contained 40 pieces arranged in 5 rows of 8 Monta, not in a foil box as I mistakenly mentioned earlier. Each Monta was much smaller than I had imagined - about the size of a chicken wing tip. Despite their size, the Monta were delicious - the shell was slightly crispy and stuffed with beef. The sour sauce was tangy and tasted great with the sour cream. Overall, the Monta were delicious and lived up to their reputation as authentic Armenian cuisine.Armenian cuisine holds a special place in my heart because of a beautiful Armenian girl I had as a classmate. She taught me about Armenian history, including the genocide, the relationship between Russia and Turkey, and the countrys religion. She even taught me how to dye eggs in the Armenian way. However, even if Armenian food and culture is not your thing, Monta Factory is still worth a visit.I also tried a piece of Su-Beoreg, which was like a piece of lasagna without meat or sauce. The cheese inside was layered and tasted fantastic. The outer piece was crispy and had a great flavor. Its worth mentioning that there is another factory-named restaurant called the Cheesecake Factory. I had visited it just a few days before my trip to Monta Factory. The Cheesecake Factory is a fusion restaurant that offers a diverse menu, including burgers, tacos, rice, nachos, spring rolls, avocado, Korean fried chicken, and Thai BBQ. The restaurant is a representation of Southern Californias multicultural fusion cuisine.Overall, I would highly recommend Monta Factory for anyone looking to try authentic Armenian cuisine. Dont be fooled by the small size of the Monta - they are packed with flavor and definitely worth the drive. I give Monta Factory five stars and look forward to my next visit.
moonbowls (Healthy Korean Bowls- Pasadena)
1060 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91106, United States
I normally dont write reviews, unless if its really bad. But this was possibly one of the WORST restaurants that Ive ever encountered! I ordered online through uber eats as I saw their page being advertised on the app. So I saw their pictures and what they serve, and decided to order from them. Delivery came, and the first thing I noticed was that the to-go package, came very well packaged. I will give them that. But they did not put utensils or NAPKINS!I ordered the bbq chicken bowl and let me tell you that it was just insanely ridiculous for the price. The portion was little to small. The chicken was tasteless and the vegetables such as broccoli and corn, tasted like canned veggies. As for the sauce, I ordered the korean bbq sauce and it was just horrendously sweet, to the point where it had no bbq taste at all! It tasted so bad that even half-way through the bowl, I considered to just throwing it away, despite morals of throwing away food. Overall, the whole bowl was a huge dissapointment, as it tasted like microwaveable food that you can get from target or any supermarket! For the whole korean influenced theme, is genuinely just a major disgrace to actual korean authentic food!! If you go to Korea town in L.A and find a good bbq chicken place, then you will know how much of a difference and how much of a mockery they represented with their menu. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY.

I recently had the opportunity to indulge in an acne facial, and it truly exceeded my expectations. As someone who has struggled with acne for a significant portion of my life, I was excited to try a treatment specifically targeting this persistent skin concern. Let me share with you the outstanding results and benefits I experienced during this acne facial session.First and foremost, the esthetician who performed my facial was highly knowledgeable and professional. She took the time to assess my skin and thoroughly explain each step of the process, putting me at ease from the moment I walked into the treatment room. Her expertise was evident as she tailored the facial to address my specific skin needs, ensuring effective and personalized care. The treatment itself was a delight. It began with a gentle cleanse to remove impurities from my skin, followed by a thorough steam and exfoliation to unclog pores and remove dead skin cells. The extraction process, although slightly uncomfortable at times, was remarkably effective in removing stubborn sebum and unclogging my pores. I appreciated the estheticians gentle and skilled technique throughout this step. One aspect that truly stood out during my acne facial was the incorporation of specialized vegan products. They have their own vegan organic products. The esthetician utilized targeted serums and masks specifically designed to treat and prevent acne. These products felt light on my skin and had a delightful fragrance, making the experience both effective and enjoyable. I love their vegan products. The name of products is aarde. Real good vegan skincare line.Post-facial, the results were remarkable. My complexion appeared noticeably clearer, with a visible reduction in redness and inflammation. The extraction process successfully eliminated stubborn blackheads and whiteheads, leaving my skin smooth and purified. Impressively, the effects were not short-lived, as the treatment continued to show positive results in the days following the facial. In conclusion, my acne facial experience was nothing short of phenomenal. The exemplary skills of the esthetician, the tailored treatment, and the exceptional products used all contributed to a truly transformative experience. I highly recommend giving an acne facial a try for anyone seeking an effective solution to combat acne and revitalize their skin. AlsoThey have a great deal membership program. Each customized facial is juuuuust 82 dollars. Also dont forget their vegan products. Highly recommended.Thank you to the talented team behind this remarkable treatment – youve given me newfound confidence in my skin!
786 Degrees Pizza - Pasadena
1709 E Washington Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91104, United States
786 Degrees is that rare unique pizzeria. While it offers a couple traditional pies, I cannot imagine anyone ordering one. To the contrary, do visit 786 Degrees and try one or more of its delectable specialty pizzas, most found nowhere else in the Pasadena area.My wife and I ordered three pies (two would have been more than enough to feed us, but we wanted to sample as many as our stomachs would accommodate.) In no particular order we chose:BULGOGI Gangnam Style which receives top marks. It is sweet and mildly spicy (not hot, just complex). Both of us will order this one again.BOMBAY TIKKA MASALA, another top rating. This one had great Indian-inspired flavor and was only a mild on the picante scale. Once again, both my wife and I will enjoy this pie again.MOROCCAN (Vegetarian), which was very good, but maybe a half-step down from the other two. Honestly, without the side-by-side comparisons, I would give this pie top marks as well. Ive enjoyed bulgogi and tikka masala pizzas elsewhere, but 786 Degrees versions compare favorably. Ive never eaten another Moroccan pizza, and this one is worth a try. It has a wonderful mixture of North African flavors.Regardless of the pizzas you order, you are sure to enjoy the crust. Its one of the best Ive eaten (and probably has something to do with the 786 Degrees name). Finally, the service is great. Our pizza chef was warm and friendly, welcoming us to his little restaurant. This attitude alone is worth a special visit.Ill offer one warning. 786 Degrees is very popular. We walked in without reservations and only needed to wait 15 or 20 minutes, but the wait queue was up to more than one hour by the time we left. Order online or visit before the rush to avoid the crowds.
