Mochinut pomona
101 E Foothill Blvd #33, Pomona, CA 91767, United States
This is my first time coming to this place and the customer service is horrible, I had ordered 2 Coffee drinks and Karla said “milk tea” so I thought the coffee drink was called a milk tea like she said and she gave me 2 milk teas so I had told her I wanted the coffee and she refused to give me the drink I had ordered. Karla said I'm the one that made the mistake not her so I couldn't get a refund or get the drink I originally wanted. I had explained that if she didn't hear my friend said “one coffee without boba” and she said “well you didn't hear when I said two milk teas” with attitude. There was another associate that was perfectly fine with making me the original drink I ordered which was nice but then Karla came saying no. Karla was very rude and has an ugly attitude. I never got a refund or the drink I had originally ordered.

Food was AWFUL! I ordered a chicken and veggie plate that came with a orange that was rotten and mold growing on top. Cook mustve obviously seen that! ! The cabbage salad was so stale, who knows how long that must have been sitting there. After seeing that I was just disgusted and wanted a full refund. I called and told the male cashier about my issue and was told he couldnt provide a refund so I told him either he fixes it or i take to corporate and he immediately decided to agree with me to take it back. I took it back and was given a refund by a nice young lady. Will never go back!!

I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in this place..I LOVE SUSHI, and this place just RUINED IT!. 1st I see they have a menu online with prices which were very reasonable so I decided to go to this restaurant and try it, well there was no cars in parking lot, and when you go in THERE IS NO CUSTOMERS, I was getting lunch so I thought they just opened, another customer came in after me and was helped right away, I noticed a single person watching tv in the dining area reading a newspaper but no one else other than the server, she handed me a menu which none of the items were from online, I then went to show the lady the online menu as well as the price, the lady said OH NO WE DO NOT HAVE THAT FOR THAT PRICE ANYMORE!, I said ok I will still try some sushi and ordered, ?? not only did the lady NOT GIVE ME EXTRA WASABI, they put cucumbers inside my SPICY TUNA ONLY ROLLS, and even the spicy tuna was just a slab of tuna and hot sauce with crab meat and minced shredded carrots, wHICH IS A CALIFORNIA ROLL NOT A SPINY TUNA ONLY ROLL.DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE EVER TO GO HERE, I STILL HAVE A NASTY AFTERTASTE OF TUNA AND CRAB MEAT, and to top it off the person who made my rolls was the EXACT SAME MAN WHO WAS SITTING DOWN WATCHING TV AND READING A NEWSPAPER, HE NEVER WASHED HIS HANDS EITHER.

Ginza Bowl
1495 W Holt Ave, Pomona, CA 91768, United States
I had to give a star to be able to comment but in reality they dont deserve a star, The Owner doesnt buy enough onion And thats what gives the Teriyaki its flavor, and he doesnt even sell it or give it, he wants to give it because it doesnt suit the others. customers according to him and there are no more güerito chiles And also all the sauce bottles are empty, its always the same, very bad customer service, it gave me a squirt And I dont know if its because it made me angry or because of the chicken because There they say that you add lemon to the chicken when it spoils!!!!?

Koji Ramen Japanese Restaurant
3520 W Temple Ave, Pomona, CA 91768, United States
Was not expecting this restaurant. I was kinda tried of a normal bowl of ramen. Found this gem on Google coz its close to my place. I ordered spicy Koji ramen not knowing what it was. After the first sip, Im happy for visiting the restaurant. Spicy Koji ramen is a spicy season ramen with mussels, shrimps, squid and cabbages. I think the owner could be Korean? Thus the spice level and taste is kinda Korean. Overall good food.

Day Days BBQ & Waffle House
994 E Holt Ave, Pomona, CA 91767, United States
I rarely ever write reviews, however this restuarant was so spectacular that I made an exception. This morning, on New Years day, I was looking for a good soul food place around the Pomona area that would knock my socks off and start off my New Years right. Not only were my socks knocked off, but so were my shoes. My family and I were immediately greeted with good hospitality and a comfortable environment. There are beautiful jazz paintings all around the restuarant. Our server was very nice and made sure to always accommodate us. We had the seafood gumbo, big ben's bacon omellete with waffles and potatoes, slim da monsta, and joe joes combo with mac and cheese and black eyed peas. All The food took about 20 minutes to come and were all very fresh and hot and the portions were plentiful. First off, the seafood gumbo was immensely flavorful and tasted so fresh . The King crab and lobster added an amazing flavor bomb. 10/10 recommend. Next, big bens bacon omellete was a great classic, however the star of the show was really the side potatoes. The potatoes were perfectly seasoned, perfectly textured, and just exquisite. If you were to get one side for breakfast, I would recommend the potatoes. The waffles were also perfectly sweet, fluffy, and delicious and the syrup was hot and delectable. Slim da monsta wings were crispy and seasoned. Joe Joes combo was a dish that truly blew me away. It was the most tender and flavorful gravy oxtail over rice and exceeded my expectations. The black eyed peas on the side were good, but I'd say was a bit more on the salty side. The baked mac and cheese was amazing, classic, flavorful and had a nice texture. Overall I highly recommend coming to this place, for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you chef!

Kwons Restaurant
1625 W Holt Ave, Pomona, CA 91768, United States
Went into Kwons to pick up some fried rice, been going to this place for 33 years, to find the restaurant was dirty, the front half ladys Gabby and or Carmen need customer service etiquette, very rude and unwelcoming. Quality has went down hill, The table surfaces were dirty, one employee had her son laying and lounging in a booth with his feet and stuff all over the table. while paying customers, some elderly had to stand waiting for a seat or table. The women whom were to provide service, hosting, waitressing instead provided cackling, rudeness and deny proper customers service. The food and famous hot sauce quality deserves negative reviews. A place that once was a hidden Gem in Pomona and was part of most of our childhood experience growing up in Pomona, has now resorted to a dump with rudeness, bad quality of food and unprofessionalism. Dont waste your money or time going to this place. Its not the same.In addition being a Hispanic woman the rudeness that I seen given by the Hispanic ladies working the front half to other non- english speaking Hispanics was a complete shock. Since this restaurant is located in a low income area, were most people are not well versed in technology to give yelp reviews. This a horrible disadvantage to this community.

Pomona Fish Market
295 S Park Ave, Pomona, CA 91766, United States
For what its worth, its a nice meal, for a decent price. Fish places are typically $$ on yelp and such, but this place is affordable for those of us too lazy to cook. I dont know about yall, but I just want simple fried fish, and they got it here, plus you can pick what type of fish from their selection. If you want something fancy, maybe you know, find a nice 5-star expensive seafood restaurant, save up and splurge there. You can also order raw fish to cook at home yourself, which you can just order in person or call ahead to see if they have that specific fish still available. If you order their cooked food, call first; its still technically covid, save yourself the time waiting in your car or whatever and just order via phone so you can pick it up super quick, at a time that works for you. Plus, they only cook when you order, so its fresher, but that also means if theres so many people who ordered before you, itll take a while, so call first for that guaranteed pick up time. Sometimes the phone line is busy when so many people are calling so just wait and try later. They have a 50 cent charge for any credit card orders, and for low ball orders via debit, which is fair, theyre not a huge company, my favorite local Chinese food spot does the same thing. They also fry more things like oysters (yum), shrimp, soft-shell crab, calamari and octopus. It takes forever at the moment because of Lent and peoples need for fish fridays. For those Fridays, typically you call about 2 hours in advance for a cooked order, Im guessing its super long because so many darn Catholics keep ordering, and they cook it fresh when its been ordered, but hey, when I came to get my order, it was ready and tasted freshly cooked, so I was a happy camper. The fish was nice, meat quality was good to me, not dry, but keep in mind, different fish have different textures, so so your research on what kind of fish you like. Its technically a simple zatarains style fish fry, so its not a 5 star seafood restaurant, but I didnt mind the batter, beats fast food and cheap frozen fish fry for sure. Comes with one small side of tartar sauce (and lousiana hot sauce), so if youre a heavy dipper or order a large meal, I recommend getting your own tartar sauce or paying the extra 50 cents for a cup of tartar sauce. They pack the food nicely ventilated with holes, so it wont go bad when you bring it home. The fries are a bit so-so for me, but I like my fries super crispy and cut differently, so thats specifically me.

Plaza Metro Atlantic
5169 Pomona Blvd, East Los Angeles, CA 90022, United States
I use to love going there for the carnitas taco on Thursday. But the people there are rude. The last time I ordered from here I got it to go. I was excited to have some tacos. When I got home the pico was frozen & the meat was bland no flavor. So disappointing wont be going back anytime soon.

Pho Vina
281 S Thomas St, Pomona, CA 91766, United States
As is usually the case, some people can only complain and I feel Pho Vina could be getting a bad rap. Ive been coming here weekly for about a year and have nothing bad to say about this great spot. Firstly the menu, its enourmous! Ive barely put a dent in it and nothing has let me down. The food comes hot and delicous time after time, whether busy or slow. Just now I was here by myself and it is quiet. I got my usual vermicelli with mini egg rolls sliced into bite size pieces so hot Ive taken a minute to write this while it cools. It took 4 min. from the time I sat to get my plate. Better than any fast food dump!Alongside my plate I always order Vietnamese iced coffee which is super tasty and packs a caffeine wallop that blows Starbucks away.I will adress one common misconception Ive heard, that the staff are rude. This is a cultural thing for sure. They are laser focused on getting you served as quick as possible and thats what they do. Small talk is not in their agenda. Primarily due to language difficulties is what Ive found. This family busts their buts to keep this spot going.Because of its prime location I could guess that they need to sell a whole lot of coffee just to break even.Sometimes youll notice the television is on, and everytime its an Asian cooking show that Ive seen them watching and commenting on.Definitely give them a chance, theres enough variety in the menu for everyone. Ive also heard the chix sandwhich is the bomb but I cant verify that personally. Will update.
