Young Dong Tofu House

SF East Bay (Dublin). Updated May 2024. One of our go-to Korean restaurants - we especially like their tofu soups & the spicy cold noodle soup!
Paiks Noodle at Dublin - Hong Kong Banjum
7214 San Ramon Rd, Dublin, CA 94568, United States
This place was one of our favorite restaurants in Dublin since there arent many Korean Chinese restaurants in East Bay. However, we stopped going here after we saw a mice on a corner of the ceiling. The food is great and tasty. Not sure about the cleaneness of the place.

A delicious addition to the San Ramon area!I have now been here twice since the open and each time have been pleasantly surprised with just how delicious the food is, and how lovely the ambiance is! The Bingsuu served here is fresh, lightly sweetened, and a real delight, especially on the hot summer days.So far, I've had the mango, strawberry, matcha red bean, and chocolate flavors, with my favorite being the mango for how fresh and sweet it was. All dishes come with a small serving of sweetened condensed milk for added creaminess.Note: the portions are huge! (As is traditional of this dessert). I recommend splitting with someone, maybe two people, even for the regular size.
Ukai Japanese Bistro

Good service and nice atmosphere, however the food wasnt great. We had the dinner special, one with spicy spicy chicken and tempura, and the other with saba shioyaki and potato croquette, and we also ordered the Madagascar roll. The miso soup that came with the special was a little salty, possibly because of the bonito flakes added to it. The tempura was inconsistently cooked (batter either soft or overfried), and the saba was overcooked. Spicy chicken was a little too spicy but bearable and the croquettes were pretty good. The Madagascar roll was unique and tasty and I would recommend it (however caution as it has macadamia nuts). Overall it was a good dining experience, I would recommend rolls over the set meals if you choose to go here.
Kabul Kabob & Grill

Chapli kebabs are perfectly seasoned and nicely balanced with ground beef, cumin, chillies, eggs, spices. It is very similiar with Korean Tteokgalbi in terms of shape, meat patty formation, texture. But the flavor is so different! Nice and fragrant, juicy, crispy outside at the same time. The dough of mantoo, bolani is nice and thin, so flaky!! Flatbread is stuffed with savory veggies and flavor-filled. It was served hot!! I think this is one of the best afghan restaurants in entire bay area.I love the authentic way they cook.I wish they would be nicer to have more spiciness to it.
World Wrapps
6000 Bollinger Canyon Rd Suite 1512, San Ramon, CA 94583, United States
-nori wrapps {bulgogi beef} [Thinly-Sliced Marinated Steak, Sushi Rice, Tamago, Cucumber, Scallion, Pickled Carrot, Sesame-Furikake Seasoning, Gochujang Sauce, Garlic Aioli, Nori Wrapp] ($12.95) - you can add a $1 to make it into a bowl!when I first looked at the menu for world wraps it reminded me a lot of sushirrito but without the flexibility of choosing certain topics as they roll it in front of you/seafood based options! nonetheless i was still really excited to try out this place - their menu was super extensive and had some bomb combinations of some of my favorite items! I personally picked the bulgogi beef nori wrapp and it was super flavorful and the perfect amount for me to finish on my own in one sitting-- the seasoning to the ratio of the rice vs the filling was well balanced where i didnt feel like i was drowning in rice. what I appreciated about this particular order was how within every but I was able to get everything from the rice to the fillings. theres definitely a good amount of stuff on the menu that Id like to go back and try from what I seen theres indoor and outdoor seating available and its a pretty good spot!friends, family, date spot friendly and another bonus would be the amount of dessert options nearby within the plaza and the plazas around the area:boba guys, sprinkles, salt n straw, teaspoon, crumbl cookies, and more!!along with spots to sit and chill within the plaza in the middle area (theres lounge chairs, grassy area, chairs and tables also available)
Boba Guys

Did not live up to the hype (especially given we had to wait in a line so long it was out the door). It was just okay.-Dirty horchata: It looked cool with the espresso floated on the top layer, but the horchata tasted like very diluted rice water. The horchata was only minimally sweetened and I could barely taste the cinnamon—very different than what I have tasted from various authentic Mexican restaurants. The boba was mediocre since they were not particularly sweet and they were a bit firm, not as soft and chewy as they should be, and I even ordered 50% ice so they should not have been hardened by the coldness.-Ponche: I couldn't taste the star anise at all. Cinnamon flavor was almost undetectable but I did see and feel the cinnamon granules (which is not necessarily pleasant, especially if I couldn't taste enough of it). I ordered this with aloe, which was typical aloe, no complaints.-Classic Black milk tea with boba: my wife and cousin ordered this and said they were not impressed.
Plucked Chicken & Beer

Last night was our first experience and it was a flawless experience. After retiring from the restaurant business I can be rather picky having run, owning and opening and building six.Walking the first thing I noticed was it was immaculate. Everything was stocked, cups, lids, utensils, straws, napkins. All the employees were all wearing the same shirts. The cooks had gloves on. The back kitchen was clean. The stainless steel was clean. All very positive signs of a well run place. The young man who took our order was very polite, called my wife mam and we threw ten dollars in the tip jar.I had the standard chicken sandwich with the fries. The wife had the chicken tenders with fries all non spicy. The place was empty except for us and one person. Lots of big door dash orders though. Our food came out very quickly and was blazing hot. It was delicious! They were continually bombarded with Doordarsh orders up until closing time. As we were finishing one young man from the back kitchen brought us more chicken breasts for no charge and more dipping sauce. I was full. He said no problem and boxed them up for us to take home. I use to do the same thing at my restaurant. If I had extra I would always give it away to my customers at the end of the night. So? Perfect score. Clean, nice, polite, very tasty. Go give them a try. We will add them to our top five places to eat in San Ramon. My waistline is in danger of getting bigger. I just heated up what they gave me......My cats loved it also. Cheers!
