I really wanted to enjoy this place because of the reviews, however my 1st visit I ordered a cheeseburger and my partner ordered egg whites w/ turkey sausage. After taking a huge bite I then noticed my bun was a blue green color, it was VERY molded, at the same time my partners way undercooked eggs were watering around the plate on the sausage he said was also undercooked. We had to apologize to the nice waiter that we had lost our appetite. He then offered to replace the meal our next visit. So we decide to go back and give them another shot. I ordered the country breakfast and after eating half a biscuit, I smelled something, off. The gravy tasted and smelled extremely sour. My partner at this point just wanted them to know to check the gravy so other people will not have this experience. She then said that is how their gravy is suppose to smell. I grew up in North Carolina and lived off biscuits and gravy, this was the most disgusting soured old gravy. Strongly do not recommend this place!
Fish Day

This incredibly underrated place checks all my boxes. Its close to my house, its reasonably priced, and its tasty as heck. They also put a ton of care into their food. I once ordered by phone and arrived 45 minutes later to pick it up (I got distracted by something...). They had thrown away my order because it was against their ethos to serve cold food. They actually made me an entirely new order and threw in some fish bones (which were PERFECT for making soup) for free. Even though it was my fault and even though they very well may have lost money on my order, they still took the high road and ensured that I was happy. I will be coming back here for days, weeks, and even maybe years!

Great place to go with your friends to drink and watch the game. The biggest size they do is pitcher for beer. Unfortunately they stopped having the tower. The restaurant is overall clean. Place is for diehard Warriors fan.Food:Oyster platter was pretty good. Not the best I have ever had, but if you are craving for raw oyster, you can get it here.Garlic fries were pretty good. The portion is slightly small. Not to heavy on the garlic. Comes with 2 different sauce, which are ketchup and bbq.BBQ chicken wings were good. Comes with a half dozen. The sauce is all over the wing. Sauce has a sweet taste and is between a mild and moderate spice level. Didnt need to use the lemon wedge on it for flavor.Spicy chicken wings were good as well. Came with a dipping sauce. The BBQ chicken wings tasted better if you had to choose one.The fried Calamari was good. Tapas size portion as well. Didnt taste like the sea. Correctly seasoned. Pieces were cut perfectly.Chicken karaage was really good. It was crispy and came with a sweet sauce to dip the chicken. Better than some actual Japanese restaurants. I highly recommend this dish.Baked oyster was probably the most tastiest out of all the items we ordered. The Mayo definitely heightens the meal itself. I would recommend this to be on your order. All the skewers pretty much tasted all the same. The wagyu slightly tasted better. Heart and gizzards tasted pretty good. Get it for the diehard meat lover.Service:Server was quick. The food came out quick as well. Nothing to complain about. Havent been here on game day so I dont know how they do during stressful times.Seating:Plenty of seats indoors and outdoor. I would recommend the inside since the atmosphere is a lot better.Amenities:There is one unisex restroom. For the most part its mostly clean.Parking:Parking lot is huge and free.
Avalon Union City

Let me start by saying one thing before, I not writing this review because some one asked me to sugar coat anything. I rarely write reviews for any product or service and I do that only in value of my time and value of the service or product.Avalon is a great community to live in. I have scouted a couple of apartment complexes in Newark, Union City and Fremont before choosing Avalon as my home. Avalon seemed like the best considering the price vs amenities. All the apartment in Avalon are standard a central heating-cooling system, attached laundry room, carpet flooring and kitchen with all equipment (freezer, stove-oven, microwave, dishwasher and garbage disposal.) The apartments are build fairly recently and maintained meticulous by a 24/7 on-site maintenance crew. The complex has common area with pool, sauna, bbq and fitness center which are well equipped and maintained. What is not there here to like to live in Avalon? The rents are comparable to other apartment complexes with similar or even most of the times lesser amenities. Another thing to consider is Avalon Union City is location right next to Union city BART station. It a central location that is closed to public transportation, shopping complexes, restaurants and banks. Hence, i didnt ever regret my choice to live here because, it indeed feels home.During my stay here, I have visited the office more than I can remember and always greeted well. Jennifer Sepulveda and other staff members at the leasing office are great to work and talk to. Everyone in the leasing office treats every single person like a friend, are always ready to listen to problems and happy to help. Its not the amenities that make a good home, its the people who provide the service that make it better and the staff of Avalon Union city go above and beyond to make the customer (you) happy.I did have few inconveniences here and there... and of-course stuff happens all the time. Some of them include,1) my apartment was completely ready on the move in. The additional evaluation took 1 hr and it cost me $110 because movers were waiting for the inspection to compete. But, guess what, Avalon staff reimbursed me that amount in the next month statement because they were responsible for the delay. They could have just ignored my trouble and go on but they didnt. They took ownership of their fault and did their best to resolve it. I even had flowers and chocolates sent to my apartment with a card signed by all staff member apologizing for the inconvenience.2) The boiler broke down twice and there was no hot water supply for an entire day. This happens and no once can anticipate the issue. But, Avalon Union City was quick to resolve the issues thereby minimizing the inconvenience to userSo, the bottom line is, there will be issues no matter where you live but, the way your troubles are addressed actually make a lot of different about how you feel about the people and community. Avalon Union city did an outstanding job in keeping up to its reputation in customer service. I really recommend everyone to consider Avalon Union City for your future housing needs. The only reason i am moving out is because i am moving out of state. Thanks for your time...

Worst experience ever... I had dined here before and received bad service and never reviewed the place, and since Im a person who believes in giving second chances I decided to bring my family here again a year later thinking that their service and food may have gotten better. BOY WAS I WRONG... We came in here on March 10, 2017 at opening time 11:30am to have some lunch for my aunts birthday. First sign of trouble is when we received our food before the waitress even asked if wed like to order drinks. Now I didnt think much of it, and we didnt mind it since my family and I were there having a light-hearted conversation. We received our food and finally some water and tea when WE ASKED for some. The food was ok, it wasnt the best sushi and sashimi but we were hungry, the fish wasnt fully thawed and the crab in the california rolls are made with imitation crab meat and overripe avocados. We were the first group (and a small group of 3 at that) there so there shouldnt have been any excuse for the waitress to not be able to serve us well, what really did it was when I had ordered a togo order specifically with NO RICE and DOUBLE SALAD. The waitress went back and added it onto the tab, when the check came back to me for me pay and sign, I noticed that the itemized receipt said NO SALAD DOUBLE RICE, so I politely asked another waitress to check with the kitchen and make sure that they put double salad instead of double rice because I knew that the ticket sent to the kitchen would confuse the cooks and make them put rice. What pissed me off even more was when the waitress dismissed it and said that they will put double salad instead of rice and that the kitchen knows. SHE DIDNT go to the back to tell them and make sure, she instead proceeded to take orders from the other tables and the phone... I receive my order and lo and behold, it was double rice and no salad at all... So I took the food back to the waitress, told them that they didnt listen to me and made up every excuse they can give me for their incompetence and lack of quality service. They did nothing to make up for the bad service and continued to give me the same lame excuses. This is the worst place to eat, dont go here! They need new management and I hope they go out of business and is replaced with a better restaurant whether it is sushi or not.
Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen

Ordering from their website? Think twice if you don't want to be cheated by them.To put it short: they intentionally serve me two items as opposed to three that I ordered on their website where the tenders were missing and they didn't tell me until I found it out myself later. The manager told me because I ordered from their website (popeyes.com) they are adding some arbitrary additional charge so the price I paid was only enough for two items. They also couldn't explain to me why I was extraly charged for the fries and biscuits either but simply told me to go and he will follow up with his boss to see what he can do. The manager showed no sign of apology, and I was even wondering if he realized this was a mistake on his end, not me. Ridiculous. I cannot believe this is how they are doing business in the US! My first time there and will be my last time as well.

Let me start with I have never had an issue with this place until today but it was huge. I went in to place an order to go. I had my dog with me and I've brought her in a few times in the past to place orders to go never an issue. Today a woman comes from behind the counter no hello, nothing she just says, “Your dog can't be in here.” I state she's a service dog. The woman ask to see her papers I pull it up in my phone. Now I can be honest I visibly looked annoyed, because for me the woman's entire approach was rude, it's not what you say it's how you say it for most humans. She proceeded to say I was rude and if I continued I would not be served. Did I roll my eyes yes did I say anything to the woman no, quite frankly I was done with the discussion I wanted to order my food and go home. She continued with saying I'm rude and asked the guy at the counter to step away and not take my order. Again escalating a already strained situation, I asked her what was her problem. She said I was rude and acting like I'm two years old, she proceeded to say I can order but then have to wait outside. The woman made a already bad situation worse because then she walked away and told me to shut up. I told her to kiss my a$$ which wasn't right but this woman escalated this entire situation. Was I upset she asked for the service papers, no. The side comments she made about my dog not having a vest and not looking like a service animal I will be reporting. I know I am not perfect today was already stressful for me and this lady made it way worse. I felt as a black woman someone trying to tell me my facial expression was rude was a step too far. It came off as racist and she was trying to pull rank in an establishment that is not her own. I hope the owner addresses his employee
