Desert Thai Authentic Thai Cuisine
68718 E Palm Canyon Dr suite 103, Cathedral City, CA 92234, United States
Had a great time. I was looking for a bar/restaurant to watch Monday nights game. I walked by and saw they had the game on their TVs. Got greeted at the host stand by a girl who pleasantly told me she would be with me shortly. After that a gentleman came and asked me if Ive been helped, and I let him know a girl told me she would help me soon. Then the gentleman sat the 4 people that were waiting behind me. I thought this was odd but I figured maybe he misunderstood me, no big deal. The girl came back and sat me outside. The gentleman came by my table and started apologizing. He thought I was ordering to go since the girl was helping me and shes responsible for taking to go orders. It really wasnt a big deal but I really appreciated how much he cared and apologized for his oversight. Lots of restaurant servers will never apologize when they make a mistake, so that goes a long way. I ordered Cashew Chicken and a Thai beer. Portions were great, food was delicious and beer was nice and cold. Service was quick and thorough. Id definitely recommend.

Apongs Philly Steak
68444 Perez Rd STE N, Cathedral City, CA 92234, United States
I had the regular Philly Cheese Steak and my spouse had the Pancit, both were excellent. The bread roll for the cheese steak was fresh and delicious, soft but strong enough to hold together when you eat it. The fillings were also fresh tasting, the beef lean and tender. The Pancit had good fresh veggies and a small amount of very tasty chicken. As good as I have had from any restaurant. They also have a full Krispy Krunchy Cajun-style fried chicken menu. I only sampled the red beans and rice, and it was also excellent. The only negative is the location, right next to a gentlemans club. Even if they were open for dine-in, it has just a couple of tables as an after thought. If you want dine-in, especially with the family, try one of their other locations.

Cluckin Bun
68031 Ramon Rd, Cathedral City, CA 92234, United States
This restaurant is one of my all time favorite restaurants. Everything they serve is pure deliciousness. The mac and cheese is some of the best Ive ever tasted, especially with the added Cheeto flakes. No other restaurant that Ive seen has been able to compare to their mac and cheese.Their sandwiches are absolutely heavenly. The buns are high quality, warm, and delicious. They come with coleslaw, pickles, sauce, and a chicken tender (or multiple!) fried in peanut oil and dusted with Cheeto flakes. They have a level of heat for their sauces for everyone! Mild, medium, hot, and Cluckin hot. Theyre all delicious, and the hottest one is definitely not for the faint of heart!Whoever came up with their recipes certainly knows something about spices and flavors, because Ive been struggling to find anything even remotely close to as good as this restaurant within the entire southern California area!I absolutely recommend this place, and while Im sad their other location in Inglewood, CA closed, I hope this one is able to thrive so I can come back soon!

Otori Sushi
68100 Ramon Rd, Cathedral City, CA 92234, United States
Otori has has won a special place amongst some of my favorite places to dine.At first, it may not look like much from the outside as it is on a far humble corner of a small shopping center but once inside you are greeted by the friendliest staff I have ever encountered. The ladies waiting tables are constantly making rounds checking on you and anything you might need or want... their suggestions are always pretty awesome. The front end, tables and booths (even the restrooms) are tidy and clean for guests at all times. Quick to take orders and wait times for food are usually short. The food is above and beyond expectations. All sushi is carefully hand-made and made to order... no frozen food here! I have been able to witness the cleanliness and organization of the sushi chefs behind the counter; they are the best at what they do. One of the owners is always behind the counter preparing food and is always attentive to the rest of his guest and staff the whole time.Prices for food is decently priced and has happy hour specials for late nighters. The times I have returned, the owner and the staff are always so pleasant and I appreciate that they remember you and personalize the service to YOU.Dōmo arigatō! どうもありがとう

Memos Sushi
68 655 Ramon Rd A, Cathedral City, CA 92234, United States
This is one of the best sushi places in the whole Coachella Valley. It's family owned and operated, it's a hidden gem! PLEASE NOTE!!! The reviews of the 1 star, are not really reviews. I eat at this place once a week, they have signs posted on each table explaining the credit card processing fee. I don't understand why people complain for paying for their own processing fee, AMPM does it, and most establishments are moving towards, passing the credit card fees on to their clients and that's okay! We as consumers need to understand that a business has so many bills, (Rent, business Insurance, Workers comp, payroll fees, sales tax, income tax) and the list goes on. Why do we give them bad reviews when all they are trying to do is provide a good service? A 4% surcharge on my own bill for using my own credit card is NOT a big deal! Memo's sushi has not increased their prices since Memo took over this business. There's sushi restaurants that are charging $18.95 per roll, yet Memo still keeps his prices low and all he does is pass on the credit card fees to us. I feel that this is a fair trade off. Let's stop complaining over cents and start supporting the local business owners that have been hit severely hard cause of COVID! It's either that or we tell Memo to raise his prices and cover the cost of processing credit cards. STOP COMPLAINING!!!! A $75 bill cost you a $3 processing fee on your card…. Your complaining over $3!!!???? Really?? Am I understanding this correctly that a consumer can't pay a $3 fee for your OWN credit card! Then do yourself a favor and stay home! Otherwise if your reading this review, support your local restaurants and don't give bad reviews for $3!!!?!!!!! Thank you Memo for your good food and service, don't worry about these snowbirds and non- locals, and Canadians!!! Keep providing your good food and good service and like I said I don't mind paying my own credit card processing!

Fil Am Oriental Market
34010 Date Palm Dr, Cathedral City, CA 92234, United States
Great little Philippine/Asian market stuffed with all kinds of product. Also offering take out prepared food. You wont be disappointed. The only place I can find Thai Chilies. What a treasure! I love to cook, (and eat). If you love Asian/Thai, then this place has it all! From the outside you wouldnt think of patronizing this place. But inside they are a small grocery store packed to the gills with tons of unusual products. Unfortunately, I dont know how to cook with most of this stuff but thats okay since they also have a small assortment of cooked items for take-out or you can sit at a communal table and enjoy on site. I had lunch there and it was delish and affordable! I was also thrilled to see that they have quail and duck eggs. I have wanted to use them in the past but didnt know where to buy them. This is a small family run business. I am told that their son, who works at the store, drove in the Fast and Furious movie. I saw his car outside...take a look at all of my pictures. They tell you the story better than this review.

Mission Plaza Shopping Center
35935 Date Palm Dr, Cathedral City, CA 92234, United States
Mission Plaza is quite unlike other strip malls in Cathedral City, mostly for the variety of the businesses located here. Are you looking for flowers? Bingo, there is Silk Forest for beautiful artificial plants and arrangements and a full service florist on the other end of the mall with live and cut flowers. Need a bite to eat? You are in the right place again with a breakfast lunch cafe, Mexican, Thai, Indian, and damn good burgers all at this location. After you eat you can clean up at the barber shop or work off those extra pounds you added with a visit to ultra clean, full service In Shape gym.

Hamachi Sushi
31855 Date Palm Dr STE 11, Cathedral City, CA 92234, United States
It was very busy, but the food was not authentic. It was clearly made for a clientele that does not know or does not want authentic Japanese food.I had ramen, which was not ramen, it was actually Ramyun, the Korean version of ramen. I cant be sure but it seemed to be an augmented version of instant noodle. The presentation was very messy, and while the price was very inexpensive, the value was worth less than the meal.Jalapeno Poppers were good, fresh jalapeno stuffed with cream cheese and spicy tuna.Chicken teriyaki for children was ok. The chicken was notably well cooked, but over sauced. The sushi we got was what is traditionally called barazushi, but this was kind of a mix of barazushi and ceviche. Not the flavor profile we were looking for. The cuts of fish were also not great, and the presentation was again really messy. Both the ramen and the sushi were unappetizing to look at. I feel the clientele who were predominantly Hispanic might be used and like the flavor profiles produced by the restaurant and if that is a flavor profile you like, its probably pretty goodI say stay away from the ramen, but the deep fried goods seemed good, and the rolls looked pretty good. The hand rolls looked good too.Overall reasonable in pricing, but if youre looking for authentic Japanese food, you need to look elsewhere.

Bangkok noodles
35911 Date Palm Dr, Cathedral City, CA 92234, United States
Best coconut mushroom soup in town. This mom and pop shop hands down beats the rest of the “local franchise” Thai restaurants that I don’t want to specifically mention. Their pineapple curry is delicious. So’s their spring rolls and also glass noodle salad.
