So so good.....! Came for first time wwith a visiting friend from Ireland. She loooves pho and thought this was so so good. The service is truly unsurpassed. The owners Ryan and his wife come out and greet diners. All the staff and I mean ALL THE STAFF check on you when they walk by... you look up for anything they rush to your side to ask what you need but at no time huffer. They have these great cups wiith initials ...I asked what they were for... Ryan explained his wife bought cups with initials for tea or coffee. I mentioned the one he was holding was my sons initials...a few mins later he came back from the kitchen with that a cup and said here...take this home to your son...OMG so kind. I will never forget it. But the food is truly really good. Ive visited 3 times and always better than the last. Served just right...I enjoy a glass of wine here with pho and AMAZING GARLIC SHRIMP NOODLES. Price is right, food Is great, best service ever!!A must do!!Thank you Ryan...keep doing it right!
Aburi Japanese Kitchen
18583 Beach Blvd, Huntington Beach, CA 92648, United States
Open friendly staff. We didnt wait long.Kennedy is a wonderful waitress and very knowledgeable in the menu. I appreciate the explanation in the differnet broths.I went with the spicy tonkotsu ramen with the thin noodles. I also asked for extra firm (but i think they soak for too long so the texture is soft/regular). Their CHASHU really is superb. I should have mention to have the bean sprout on the side so I can add it myself. I prefer to eat the bean sprout added in myself so it isnt soggy and has a crunch taste. The spicy level isnt spicy. The broth is similar to other ramen shops. The extra spicy paste didnt help. Japanese peeps just doesnt know how to make spicy food. The miso however to me was bomb. It is a distinct favor that is combination of sweet and miso? The furikake fries are just fries with furikake sprinkled on them. If you like fries, it is just another variation of cheese and fries. It is good marketing to do the sushi add on for additional $5.99 or $1.99 for a bowl. I will do the bowl next time.Overall, friendly staff and prices. Place is well kept and modern.*there are different types of noodles so maybe ask what kind of noodles comes with your ramen.
PHO B
9048 Adams Ave, Huntington Beach, CA 92646, United States
This is my favorite pho place in OC! They dont use MSG, and the broth is so good. If you are a pho connoisseur, you can tell it is cooked right for a good amount of time, because it is bursting with flavor (unlike so many other places that try to shortcut by adding MSG instead of cooking it longer). I never feel the need to add any hoisin or Sriracha to it like so many other places, simply because the broth lacks flavor. The prices are on par with other pho places, but you get a much better tasting bowl. Staff is super attentive and friendly. They are so fast bringing me my food too. I drive out of my way to come here. They are also open til 10pm, which is nice considering most Vietnamese restaurants close at 9. Try it, you wont be disappointed!

Edit: the manager was able to resolve the issue finally! Thank you, Adeel!! I hope the parking situation gets better soon because the staff, drinks, and food are all awesome!I came in with a friend on 3/23 to get some drinks and food. I asked if there was a discount code for the parking, and at the time, the barista mentioned to just cancel the payment, and if I get a ticket then to let them know & theyll take care of it. I did end up getting a ticket for ~$26, and Ive been trying to get this resolved in person once and via the phone many times. Ive spoken to the barista once and manager twice about this issue. I had called the office, left messages, and the rental office hasnt returned 3 of my calls.Frankly, this is a horrible customer experience despite having absolutely fantastic coffee drinks and food at your location, and I support the company mission. All the staff there was nice and friendly, and this is an extremely stupid parking system. Id love to be able to come back on a positive note without having to deal with this parking problem. Ive avoided it, and Im about to just submit a chargeback with my bank because its been about 6 weeks since this happened. I understand the system has changed since then, but having no response or sense of urgency to fix the problem is extremely frustrating unfortunately.
LAWA Thai Cuisine
7251 Warner Ave # F, Huntington Beach, CA 92647, United States
We went to Huntington Beach to check out their shopping center and visited Lawa Thai Cuisine for lunch. I have to say, this is my new favorite Thai restaurant! The food is delicious and made me miss Thailand. We had a chance to talk to the owners. They are very friendly Thai people, experienced chefs, and we learned more about their dishes and stories. They use fresh and high-quality ingredients and create very unique and amazing presentations. Before the shop opened, they spent a lot of time designing it. Its such a modern take on traditional design. What we ordered:Hor Mok Taylay (seafood curry in a coconut shell) - 10/10, amazing presentation, homemade sauce is natural and flavorful, fresh seafood, and they use fresh-cut coconut shell. You can eat the coconut meat at the end.Panang Salmon - the sauce is tasty and the salmon is very moist. I could eat a whole bowl of rice with it.Kao Soi Chicken - the most delicious chicken legs, so soft and flavorful, the chicken meat easily fell from the bone and is very good flavor. Loved it.Grilled Pork Jowl Salad - never had it before, it's such a great appetizer, so refreshing, and the pork jowl was perfect.Poh Tak (seafood soup) - quite spicy for me, but my family enjoyed it.Papaya Salad - thinly cut, crunchy, and refreshing.Coco Island (coconut ice cream) - I love this dessert so much, with fresh-cut fruit on top, coconut ice cream, and also fresh sticky rice underneath. It was creamy and sweet. All in all, it was an amazing experience visiting Lawa Thai. They also have vegan options. I cant wait to come back again!
Akuma Ramen & Sushi Bar
16051 Bolsa Chica St, Huntington Beach, CA 92649, United States
Anime atmosphere, tasty ramen, sushi and happy hour specials. What more can you ask for? Small ramen spot in HB with great customer service. Had the Garlic truffle ramen and wiped the bowl clean. Noodles are on point, toppings are good, broth was good IMO but my wife thought it was the best! We have pretty much hit up every ramen shop in the beach areas and this one is up there in taste. We will be back.
Orange Thai
21070 Beach Blvd, Huntington Beach, CA 92648, United States
If you love Thai food, you must try Orange Thai! -- this is my conclusion after trying more than a dozen dishes. This no-frill restaurant offers delicious, made from scratch dishes at prices that allow you to come back again and again.Since my first Thai restaurant experience in 1989, I have tried numerous Thai restaurants. On one hand, fancy authentic restaurants tend to pay too much attention to ambience (read it as expensive). On the other hand, run-of-the-mill restaurants tend to serve dishes modified to suit the taste of American consumers. Affordable restaurants tend to cut corners in the quality of ingredients for profit margin.Orange Thai is none of these. Owner-chef, Windy, has been engaged in the Thai restaurant business for well over a decade, and she has struck a perfect balance between truly authentic and pleasantly creative. You will notice that the ingredients are of high quality and every dish is prepared with utmost care. Also, you will notice that Orange Thais menu offers dishes you rarely see in other Thai restaurants. You should remember that the restaurant does not have a lot of tables, and it is a good idea to be prepared to take the food out. Ask Peter or Windy what they recommend for the day. You will find that they continue to create delightful off-the-menu items.
Mitasie Vegan 3
7636 Edinger Ave, Huntington Beach, CA 92647, United States
Normally, you snap a photo of the dish before you eat it, but today, this is proof that the chicken vegan pho was an incredible surprise. At first, when the waiter suggested it over the beef or regular pho option, I was a bit skeptical and assumed it would be at least slightly disappointing, but boy was I wrong! The vegan chicken is flavorful and tender. The broth was just right and as with most pho entrees, you get your normal basil, bean sprouts and lime. I'm never a jalapeño fan with pho, but that comes too.Honestly, I'm overly stuffed right now writing this. So, I'll have to take my jasmine iced tea which also comes with this complimentary. No photo here of it because I barely was able to sip it beyond the first couple of swallows.I'll be back to try the other dishes and see what other vegan surprises might delight. I can see why the rating was so high. I was wondering before dropping by. I hate to create more traffic for what I hope is my regular cuisine stop.
Mazara Trattoria Cucina Italiana
18027 Beach Blvd, Huntington Beach, CA 92648, United States
DELICIOSO!!! This place is the real deal! Authentic Italian food that is full of flavor, made to order, and just down right amazing. We ordered the Short Rib Pasta special, the Quattro Stagioni Pizza and the Linguini Fantasia. Everything was PERFECTION!!! Cooked perfectly and so fresh. Their desserts are made from scratch, in-house daily and the menu varies. We sampled the Tiramisu and the Creme Brulee and both were delicious. The tiramisu was light and airy and some of the best that we have had in a long time. The Creme Brulee was just the right consistency with that satifying hard shell on top and creamy under belly. The restaurant is small but cozy and the wait staff was very attentive, genuine and so KIND. We stopped by on a Friday night, without a reservation but they made room for us and never made us feel bad for not calling ahead. Reservations are strongly encouraged due to the space and the fact that this restaurants reputation is well known. We sat next to some regulars who had been coming here for many years. They shared with us all their favorite dishes and we had a strong feeling they were not the only regulars in the restaurant. It seemed as if the staff knew just about everyone. Before we left, the hostess made it a point to come and speak with us. She made us feel so welcome and encouraged us to come back. We do not live local but our daughter, who was with us, does. The hostess made sure our daughter knew she would be remembered and that they couldnt wait for her to come back so they could take great care of her again. What a WONDERFUL place. You will not be disappointed and if you live local, Im confident youll become a regular too!

I love Italian food. So when seeing the overall rating based on nearly 300 reviews to date, it was a no brainer.First off, the ambiance is cozy. This is not a huge place, which is not a bad thing. Definitely a date night kind of joint - you can actually hear yourself in conversation. Open kitchen is surrounded by a bar and then tables - I think it can seat around 30 people easy if not more. I do enjoy the experience of seeing my food prepped just before it makes itself appear at my table.Service is stellar - very attentive, hospitable and friendly. Our server (Martin) was very informative and was very knowledgeable of the menu. The Chef even came out of kitchen to greet diners. The food.... Well, delicious. Started off with the Calamari fritti, which was light and crispy. The spicy marinara converted me as I generally pass on it when it comes to calamari, but not in this case. I had one of the Chef Francois specials, which was Linguine with salmon and chicken, with a creamy Gorgonzola cheese sauce with red onion and walnuts. Pasta was cooked perfectly and I did not have to salt or pepper my food, as seasoning was on the money. No Parmesan as the chef did not allow it on the dish, and I can respect that. The dessert: tiramisu which was creamy with a nice light sweetness and balance with the coffee and marsala. I was blown away to find out there was no mascarpone as is generally characteristic of a tiramisu. It was made with whipped cream, made in-house by the Chef. I was impressed because you couldve fooled me 10 times out of 10 on this.If youve read this far I think it safe to say Ive convinced you. If not oh well, Ive convinced myself to go back.
