SoL SoupS
28708 Roadside Dr, Agoura Hills, CA 91301, United States
Sole Soups has been one of my favorite go-to spots since l started buying soups, chilis, and stews from them at the Calabasas farmers market in 2017. Its very rare to find a restaurant that produces in-house wholesome food using whole ingredients instead of unhealthy processed food thats full of chemicals, gums, and fillers like most restaurants and food manufacturers do. In an era where customer service is often overlooked, I find the owner and staff to be some of the most thoughtful and appreciative people at any type of business lve been to in recent memory. Even with the inflation weve experienced over the past few years, their prices have remained very reasonable. I highly recommend stopping by and grabbing a bone broth or soup and a frozen chili or stew to-go and saving it for one of those days you dont feel like cooking.

Uncle Afs
5905 Kanan Rd, Agoura Hills, CA 91301, United States
After stumbling upon Uncle AF's International Sandwich Shop on Yelp's recommendation list and noting its proximity to my home, my son and I decided to indulge in a lunchtime adventure here.Service was swift, friendly, and personalized, with the owner's son manning the counter and extending a warm welcome to us. The seating area is cozy, with a mix of tables, bar seats along the window and wall, and a communal table for larger groups. A few tables outside offer a sidewalk dining experience, albeit in the midst of a bustling strip mall environment. The menu boasts a selection of 10 tantalizing sandwiches and Paninis, accompanied by French fries, prepackaged chips, snacks, bottled sodas, and iced teas. While the sandwiches lean towards the pricier side, ranging between $15 and $20 each, their size and quality justify the cost, although location might play a role in the pricing. The sandwiches exceeded my expectations in size and flavor, generously filled with meats and toppings, and served alongside a sizable portion of fries. It's worth noting that when ordering with multiple people, all items are served together on one tray, which might not suit everyone's preference. The ambiance is straightforward yet inviting, with a cheerful yellow, black, and white color scheme adorning the walls adorned with travel quotes, adding a touch of wanderlust to the dining experience. However, I did encounter a minor inconvenience with an unstable table, and a closer attention to cleanliness around the register area would enhance the overall dining experience.Despite these minor hiccups, Uncle AF's International Sandwich Shop offers a flavorful journey through its diverse menu and welcoming atmosphere, making it a worthwhile stop for a satisfying meal.

Ma-Kin Vegan Sushi
30313 Canwood St unit 35, Agoura Hills, CA 91301, United States
First of all, to the person who only gave Ma-Kin two stars even though they are “good 99% of time” you really need to check your math. That comes across as cruel to lower their average when you said yourself they are 99% good. The only bad thing about this place is how it has ruined other vegan restaurants for my spouse and I. We don’t eat out a lot, and when we do we used to like to change it up, variety is the spice of life. Then we discovered Ma-Kin Sushi and now we are on that Malange spice and can’t move on. Neither of us has been able to convince the other to try some place else on our date nights.Everything here is good. Literally. We have been working our way across the menu and it’s all dope. I leave every time ready to be taken to the next life I’m so full and satisfied. The spicy miso soup is the best miso soup in LA. The pork buns are the best buns I’ve ever had. The rolls are so good that if your carnivore friend says they can tell a difference they prefer the “real thing” then you can tell them you prefer “real friends” and not liars because the food at Ma-Kim is the best.Last time we had the Spicy Miso Mushroom Soup, Pork Buns (so good I almost forgot to take a picture), steamed gyoza (not pictured), volcano roll, California roll, and spicy tempura shrimp roll.Go here and never need to decide where to eat out again.⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

The Yard Thai Cuisine
5889 Kanan Rd, Agoura Hills, CA 91301, United States
We enjoyed dinner at The Yard Thai restaurant. Were vegetarian, and we had no problem finding suitable options for our meal. My wife ordered the mussaman curry with tofu and white rice, while I had the khao soi curry egg noodle soup. This was my first time trying khao soi curry egg noodle soup, and I have to say it was very delicious. It seems like a combination of a curry dish, but with noodles. So if youre in the mood for curry and noodles, this is the dish to order. I have not seen this dish on any other Thai menus.I recommend you give this neighborhood Thai restaurant a visit.

Pizza Nosh
30313 Canwood St #31, Agoura Hills, CA 91301, United States
One of my favorite pizza places and an overall awesome restaurant.Their personal pies are fantastic. My personal favorites are the margarita, Brooklyn and Mexican pizzas. They are all amazing and its though to rank them.Their blackened salmon is fantastic and it goes amazing on their salad or in their tacos.Spinach calzone is incredible.Their fries are solid, and their TATER TOTS (I know, really) are out of this world. The cinnamon puffs are the perfect dessert. My favorite thing here might be their mozzarella sticks, which are just fantastic.Barbara is a great owner and has a special relationship with her customers. I really appreciate all of the hard work she puts into making pizza nosh such a special restaurant. Thank you Barbara! Keep up the great work!

Old Place
29983 Mulholland Hwy, Agoura Hills, CA 91301, United States
First, you need to make reservations weeks in advance. It is small and always packed. No walk ins available from what I saw. They may have space available at the bar, but to get a both you have to plan ahead.Atmosphere: Unique atmosphere and story of how it came to be, good for a one time novelty visit. The exterior and interior are straight out of an old western (picture a saloon or general store) with wood everything, big tables, and rickety booths. Theyre uncomfortable to sit in and the lighting is terrible (wish theyre turn off the obnoxious overhead lights and go for dimmer table lights instead). The old, eclectic, mismatched plates add a cozy, homey feel.Food:Appetizers: the appetizers were tasty and big enough to share easily. My family shared the mac n cheese, and chowder (I think). Everything came with a thick, baked cheese layer on top which I loved but if you dont like cheese, be careful. The menu is very small and limited so there were no appetizers for my husband (picky eater) and very little for me (gluten free). I had the mushrooms which were pretty good (because of the cheese layer) but I wish Id saved the space for my entree. Try not to fill up before your main course because it will be gigantic and youll need the space to get through it.Entrees: I had the beef stew which was gluten free and a staple of their menu. The veggies were cut small and the beef was tender and delicious. The bowl was gigantic but somehow I ate the entire thing (youll be impressed if you order one and see the size). It was flavorful, comforting, and very filling. I highly recommend the stew. My family ordered a pot pie and sirloin steaks which were also huge and delicious according to them. The steaks were too marbled and undercooked for my taste since I only like well/medium well lean cuts and cant stand chewing fat, so I opted not to try any.Apparently everyone raves about the baked potatoes so I ordered one of those as well because I usually love them. I absolutely hated the loaded potato here though. They make their own sour cream using vinegar but it overpowered everything else and and ruined the flavor for me. Our server was shocked I wasnt into it and said maybe one person in a thousand doesnt like it. According to her, everyone else goes crazy for the mystery flavor (vinegar) which I honestly cant believe. It was horrible. Soupy and tangy and completely unlike any baked potato I have had or would want. Id never order one again. They are huge though, and I guess if you like vinegar on everything youll probably like these.Dessert: For dessert, my family tried the lava cake which was more chocolate soup than cake. When we mentioned the odd consistency of the lava cake, our server told us that we shouldve ordered the chocolate chip cookie instead but didnt say anything earlier because we didnt ask. They dont have ice cream because there is no freezer, which is a bummer. There were also no non-wheat / gluten free desserts.Service: our server was funny, sarcastic, personable, and pretty quick. When asked, she gave us good recommendations but I wish shed taken the initiative to warn us about the polarizing quirks not mentioned on the menu (the vinegar in the baked potato and the soupy lava cake) because we wouldve changed our order and enjoyed our food more.Over all Im glad we came and it was a fun experience but I dont feel the need to go back.
