Olive Garden Italian Restaurant
270 Brea Mall, Brea, CA 92821, United States
Olive Garden is affordable basic Italian. They have a wide range of pastas, which taste good. This is a no frills restaurant, although at this location, the server we had was stellar, as in, should be working in 5-star fine dining stellar. If you dont know about Olive Garden, their claim to fame is their soup and salad, which is a reputation they deserve. The chicken & gnocchi soup is one of the best soups around, and the salad is always light and delicious. The soup is also bottomless, so you can ask for as much soup as you want, or change to a different soup. There isnt much difference between locations either, so if youve been to one, youve been to them all: However, Brea does have at least one server who should be cloned and be made into the wait staff for every Olive Garden because she was truly awesome!
California Pizza Kitchen at Brea Mall
1065 Brea Mall, Brea, CA 92821, United States
Ive been to California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) at Brea Mall a few times, and Ive had mixed experiences. The food is generally good, but Ive had some issues with the quality of the food on a few occasions. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Tostada Pizza and the Salmon. The Tostada Pizza was soggy and burnt, and the salmon was overcooked. I was disappointed, but Ive had good experiences with the pizza and salmon at CPK in the past, so I think it was just a one-off issue. However, I did enjoy the Sedona Tortilla Soup and the Buffalo Cauliflower. The soup was flavorful and creamy, and the cauliflower was cooked perfectly. I would definitely recommend these dishes to anyone who is looking for a good vegetarian option.Overall, I think CPK is a decent restaurant, but I would recommend going with a friend or family member so that you can try a variety of dishes.
Panera Bread
423 S Associated Rd, Brea, CA 92821, United States
One of the worst Panera bread I have ever visited. Panera Bread is my preferred restaurant as my family and I a pure vegetarian and they have good options for us. But this particular store was super disappointing. When I visited the store it was only takeout or drive through, although their website does not say so, I ordered all veg items. I ordered half Mediterranean vegetarian sandwich and half cream of tomato soup and I also confirmed that while picking but what I got was Full sandwich full of chicken, I also ordered another full Mediterranean vegetarian sandwich as another order and I got mac-n-cheese sandwich. After reaching to my hotel when opened the order, I had to simply put it in trash. I had no option but by a bread and butter from near by gas station, eat and sleep. I would never ever visit this particular location again and would never order from drive through Panera again.

Thai 7 Bistro
215 W Birch St #2, Brea, CA 92821, United States
I went to Thai 7 Bistro 3 times, always warmly welcomed by Marilyn, the owner or her mom, Betty. Small but cozy restaurant with good Thai food, especially delicious Pho, a famous Vietnamese beef noodle soup at very reasonable prices.
Carmel Cafe
2860 E Imperial Hwy, Brea, CA 92821, United States
Moved back to the area recently and was looking for a nice breakfast spot for a burrito. This popped up just around the corner from our house, the menu looked good, croissants looked great, so I decided to try it out. My wife and I went all out the first time and split the burrito and the breakfast sandwich, as well as a strawberry croissant. Admittedly too much food, but we wanted to try it all. It took a little longer than expected, but it was worth the wait. The croissant was warm, flaky and delicious. The sandwich was great, with a fluffy egg, great sauce and tasty bacon. I love burritos and this one did not disappoint. From the fluffy eggs to the potato hash, the homeade salsa and the final panini grill on the tortilla, it was fantastic! Looking forward to trying out more of their offerings!
Chubby Sushi & Ramen
120 S Brea Blvd UNIT 107, Brea, CA 92821, United States
We had a party of 13 and were so impressed with the variety of food we ordered. We had chicken bowls, miso soup, various sushi rolls and ramen. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Jennifer was so polite and helpful in explaining items on the menu we we were not familiar with. This was the best sushi and ramen we have ever had. Wonderful restaurant.
Spicy Sugar Thai Mid-City
1271 S La Brea Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90019, United States
Our new favorite neighborhood Thai restaurant. This is our 4th time doing take out (weve dined in once). The team there is so nice and welcoming. Food is fantastic. Try the dumplings in green curry for something special. Our mainstay order includes papaya salad, skewers, pad kee mao, at least one curry (green, panang, etc.), cashew chicken, and a soup. Medium heat has kick but doesnt kill you. Have been recommending to all our friends, and now to you.
Rpublique Caf Bakery & Rpublique Restaurant
624 S La Brea Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90036, United States
We found this place by searching best restaurants in LA. Its high popularity intrigued us, so we decided to see what makes it special. We visited during lunchtime and had a light meal: a couple of desserts, a salad, and a soup. The food didnt leave a strong impression; it tasted quite ordinary, and there were some service issues. However, the restaurants interior truly delighted us – it was very impressive. Additionally, we recommend learning about the owners story, which adds an extra layer of charm and interest to the place.
PanHolic Brea

Jjangmyeon (2/5): unimpressed and it's only a step above the stuff you get in the instant noodle packs. Not sure how they can charge $12 for a bowl of noodles with less than an ounce of meat in it when pho is around $15… Can't believe the star dish of the restaurant was so underwhelming.Sweet & Sour Pork “ttangsyuk”: (1.5/5) This tasted alright when it immediately came out. But as I started eating more and more of it I realized how flavorless the sauce was and how poorly trimmed the pork was. Almost every piece had a grisly peace of fat, tendon, ligament that was unpleasant to chew through and I feel like the fryer they are using is underpowered or something because only the exterior was crispy while the interior wasn't cooked all the way through.Service: nonexistent/5The lady working here looks like she is on her last leg and every time we asked her for something that she seemingly forgot, it felt like we were asking her to do a monumental favor because she looked sleepy/sick. It's not the best representation of a restaurant when their only front of house worker looks like they're about to faint at any given moment.I'm not sure how a Korean/chinese fusion restaurant is going to do in Brea especially when the food is trash.Bring back the pho place
