The Gourmet Soup Kitchen
west 91304, 23229 Saticoy St, Canoga Park, CA 91304, United States
? Food:The soup quality reminds me the one of my own mother and childhood. Fresh, and filled with only good ingredients.?‍?Service:The service was friendly and quick, what else can you ask?? Atmosphere:This is a to-go counter so you cant expect cozy or fancy, yet the presentation is clean and organized so you can pick easily. Its also great to see the kitchen in the back.? Price:Considering that a drink at Starbucks is more than $5 on average, $6,99 for a full healthy meal doesnt seem outrageous to me.

Casa De Papi Mexican Grill
22330 Sherman Way C5, Canoga Park, CA 91303, United States
Mexican to avoid.Atmosphere: Small shop menu is clear about 4 or 5 tables, nothing good or bad here.Staff: friendly & helpful everyone was very nicePrice: prices are good $2.50 a taco probably one of the cheaper tacos in the area.Food we ordered:Chips: a smaller batch of chips covered in what i expect is a mole possibly and some cheese. This was pretty good nice crunch on the chips. came with two salsas a green and red both had a nice strong flavor and a bit of a kick.3 Tacos Combo -Carnitas Taco - The best of the 3 tacos we got, strong lime flavor which i liked add some of both salsas and this is the thing to get. However my one pet-peeve with carnitas... If while you are adding carnitas to the taco and you see a LARGE piece of inedible fat DONT PUT IT IN the taco...El Pastor Taco - The one recommended by the staff, strong flavor decent taste not my thing but also not bad.Chicken taco - this might possibly be one of the worst chicken tacos I have ever had.. No seasoning whatsoever the color was off im not sure they even put this on the grill.. absolutely avoid this at all costs. I wish I had photographed this one, it was that bad..Rice & Beans - overall soggy and not very good, flavorless.Overall the food was not great. We went on a Friday after lunch so it wasnt busy. Im unsure if the food is just pre-made but nothing was really hot.. The food and the reviews on this place just dont match up... Not sure what people are eating but it isnt the food here..Tips:Plenty of parking in the lot, the candys next to the soda machines are a nice touch.

Asian Sisters Caf
7140 De Soto Ave, Canoga Park, CA 91303, United States
Delicious food, spacious restaurant, and friendly service!MENUTheir menu is quite extensive and is sure to have something for everyone in your group. I was pleased to see traditional Vietnamese dishes such as banh xeo, com tam, and bun bo hue, as well as fusion items like roti curry and ube pork belly. Yum! The prices are also very reasonable given todays... climate.FOODWe ordered the sizzling spicy seafood basil, pho ga (chicken), and salad roll with avocado. Everything tasted fresh, authentic, and delicious! I liked that the sauce in the sizzling noodles wasnt overpowering, yet still tasty. The broth in the pho tasted like it was homemade. The salad roll was simple, yet yummy and healthy. The presentation of each dish was also nice.SERVICEThe servers were friendly and also checked on how we were doing regularly.PARKINGThere is a small lot in front of the restaurant. We went for lunch on a weekend and didnt have trouble getting a spot.Overall, this place is awesome and Im already looking forward to going back. Im excited that we have a new Vietnamese fusion restaurant in the Valley!

Suban Sushi & Ramen
20911 Sherman Way, Canoga Park, CA 91303, United States
We went to Suban Sushi & Ramen today for our very first time and I must say it was a fantastic experience! My girlfriend and I ordered the Suban Ramen and it was delicious! The broth was so nice and rich, the noodles were the perfect chewiness and the pork in the ramen was outstanding! We also ordered the gyoza, a spicy tuna hand roll, and the salmon belly nigiri and we were not disappointed. The restaurant has a nice layout and you can tell that the owner cares about the appearance and cleanliness. The server and the person behind the sushi bar were inviting and were accommodating. It is safe to say that this won't be our only time dining at Suban. If you are in the Woodland Hills / Canoga Park area this place is a must visit for quality ramen and sushi!

Basils Deli and cafe
8380 Topanga Canyon Blvd, Canoga Park, CA 91304, United States
Basils Deli Cafe in Woodland Hills is an absolute gem, and my repeated visits speak volumes about its excellence. Ive savored their culinary delights on five separate occasions, and each time has been a flavor journey beyond compare.Lets start with their hot pastrami sub; its a masterpiece of tender meat, perfectly seasoned and nestled within a fresh, fluffy bun. The flavors meld together in perfect harmony, leaving a lingering satisfaction that keeps me coming back for more. The Philly cheesesteak is a classic done right at Basils. Juicy, succulent strips of beef, smothered in melted cheese, all encased within a crusty roll – its a carnivores dream come true. Each bite is a symphony of textures and tastes, showcasing the culinary prowess of the chefs. Now, onto the spicy Gia, Maria Mamma Mia Panini – a mouthful in more ways than one. This fiery creation packs a punch with every bite, yet its balanced with the richness of melted cheese and the freshness of quality ingredients. Its bold, its daring, and its utterly addictive.Their chicken pesto Panini is a testament to simplicity done right. Tender chicken, fragrant basil pesto, and gooey cheese come together to create a symphony of Italian flavors. Its comfort food at its finest, leaving me feeling satisfied and content with each indulgent bite.In summary, Basils Deli Cafe is a culinary haven where every dish is crafted with care and passion. Whether youre craving a hot pastrami sub, a classic Philly cheesesteak, or something with a bit of a kick, youre guaranteed to find satisfaction here. With each visit, Im reminded of why I keep returning – the impeccable taste, the friendly service, and the unforgettable dining experience. Andys Submarine Sandwichs
21311 Sherman Way, Canoga Park, CA 91303, United States
The best food, my favorite the shimp/chicken fettuccine, this is way better than Olive Garden and Cheesecake Factory, and the California Club Sub its like heaven, healtier and cheaper than Subway and the soups are delicious, everything made from scratch at that moment, even the chicken breast its totally fresh not frozen like other Italian restaurants, quick service, nice environment and very good prices.

Grandi Italiani
21730 Sherman Way, Canoga Park, CA 91303, United States
I have been going to andres since 1963 when I was just a kid living in the fairfax area, so when I walked into Grandes and saw Aron I was pleasantlySurprised ! You cant miss him, white chefs jacket and he says hello to everyone. He really knows what hes doing. I now have been going to Grandes ounce a week since they opened and its fantastic!Aron has worked every thing out as it takes time to train a restaurant staff everything runs smoothlyIve tried everything and its exactly like his flag ship restaurant on 3rd street!Great quality, humongous portions, and mushroom sauce to kill for, I put it on everything! Try the Sacchetti and you will be hooked for life and wont find a better one any where ! They used to have a gourmet restaurant on Wilshire blvd Andres Continental cuisine in Beverly Hill Where I used to get this very high end dish! So try the Sacchetti! My go to for years has always been a 1/2 and 1/2 with mushroom sauce and chicken breast smothered in the same mushroom sauce!Lasagna to die for and the greatest eggplant parmigiana! I always got several frozen orders of lasagna and eggplant when dining over the hill. But no need for that anymore. Dont forget to add the salad and garlic bread for an extra buckAnd pay no attention to the 1 or 2 star reviewsNothing is microwaved they must not know what a salamander oven looks like and the tiramisu is home made, so what, it comes in a plastic container, its great! Its not possible to have a gourmet meal for 2 for $21 but Aron does it every timeCafeteria style but very niceI was in the restaurant business all my life so I know quality when I see and taste it! Now that were all old rock n rollers we deserve a break !Thank you Grandes(Aron) for not just a breakBut incredible value and quality !Only way it could be better is to charge a little bit more and have some weekend specialsOso Buco maybe or lamb shank would be nice!!

Dog Haus
6501 CA-27, Canoga Park, CA 91303, United States
Yes! And Ill be back.1st, the gentlemen & ladies who work here deserve a round of applause. Theyre happy, and work well as a team. One of the guys checked on us to see if we needed anything, and he was working hard.2nd. Its More than just dogs & sausage. Their hamburgers are magnifique!Ringer, double patty: its their version of a double western bacon cheeseburger. Served on the Hawaiian bread, you get this nice tanginess of the sauce, paired with the sweetness of the bread. And then you get the crunch of the onion rings, and its just purely fantastic. Its like an explosion in your mouth of all these different textures and flavors. The burger patties were cooked perfect, nice tenderness, with a good chew and overall mouth feel. Juicy!Build your own Chili burger: basically I wanted to try the chili burger, but without the egg on top. Next time I might have to do that though. Overall, the chili was great, though I do think it might have just a Touch Too Much cumin in it. Im sure this is some kind of proprietary blend with their chili spice. Speaking of spicy, the chili has the most mildest of heat to it. Im sure you can modify this if you place your order if you like it hotter or more spicy.Tater Tots: omfg! Amazing! Crunchy, and not oily at all. I think their temperature must be somewhere between 350 to 360° F when they deep fry. Its the perfect balance of getting a good crispy texture on the outside with nice crunch, and yet cooked to Perfection so that they are not oily at all. This is my childhood in a 1 inch by half inch cylinder of potatoey goodness.Breakfast Burrito: didnt get a chance this time around. BUT, a lot of construction type folks were ordering them even at lunchtime.Atmosphere: Chill for the Lunch crowd.Music: Mostly klos and kroq stuff while I was here for lunch. An occasional Erykah Badu song or similar sprinkled in.Parking is plentiful on the north side of the structure. Theres also a great outdoor Beer Garden area if youre a beverage consumer, if you know what I mean. ;)In short, LOVE the vibe. Ill be back.

Nats West Cafe - Canoga
8336 Topanga Canyon Blvd #2344, Canoga Park, CA 91304, United States
Nat's West is the sequel to the beloved Sherman Oaks breakfast joint Nat's Early Bite where you can get basic breakfast goods and coffee, done about as perfectly as you could hope for. Would Nat's West live up to the quality we'd come to expect from their sibling in the east? For the most part yes!We headed to Nat's West late one Sunday morning where we were greeted with the familiar crowds waiting to get seated. That's a good sign, especially at a breakfast place. It didn't take all that long for them to find room for us and pretty soon the coffee arrived. This was probably my only disappointing part about the experience. The other location (and I'm not sure if they're actually connected anymore) does coffee exactly right, very bold, never thin tasting. The roast I got here was on the thin side. Acceptable, but not the “wow this is great coffee” level that I'm hoping for.It got much better from there. I had two eggs (whites) scrambled with cheddar cheese and a side of perfectly cooked hash browns. It's a basic breakfast fantasy and they did it perfectly…hash browns crispy on the outside, and fully cooked and soft on the inside. The egg whites were perfect too.I also had what they call a carrot muffin (though fans of the other location will know it as the Morning Glory Muffin…this leads me to believe these 2 locations don't talk anymore.) The muffin tasted similar but was slightly overbooked…a little denser than I wanted it.Two other folks in the party got the Special Green Omelet with home fried potatoes. The omelet was full of greens, topped with avocado and yummy…and the home fried potatoes were also done just as perfectly as the hash browns I got.Our kid got the Bananas Foster French Toast which also was done perfectly and tasted pretty sinfully good.Nat's is probably the best basic breakfast place in the west valley and if we lived closer we'd spend a lot more time there…especially if they gave a more consistent bold coffee to me.
