Olive Garden Italian Restaurant
6000 Sepulveda Blvd #1220, Culver City, CA 90230, United States
?( If you have a special NEED & Love Great service) ?THIS is NOT the place for YOU ? ? I was not satisfied with management overall at this location, especially tonight me and my wife and children was celebrating an early Father's Day. Around 6 PM . We requested to be seated at a booth somewhere near the back area, where there was plenty of walking space. And where we could place my one and a half year old child who is in a special disability stroller. Which we had no problems ever before with previous management staff before tonight. The greeter or the host at the front said it would not be a problem to accommodate us, but later came back and told us that his manager would not allow us this request to be seated with our child stroller. We asked if we could speak with the front desk manager at the front door greeting area. She came over and told us that she could not accommodate us with this request. We replied and notified her that our Childs stroller was a special disabled cheer design for his disability. She still insisted on putting us at a table where there was very little space next to a second table less than a few feet apart from each other. We just try to not get upset so we could just enjoy our night. But that's when the nightmare began ?our waitress started off, removing our tablet from the table as if she was being tipped off from front door management. This was clear retaliation for The complaint of not being accommodated for our child's disability stroller . We could clearly see and sense that the waitress was not putting effort into serving us with quality service that we have been greeted and served with at this location with other waiters and waitresses. We were not asked if we would like more breadsticks or more soup or salad. When we did ask for these items she did not come back with the items instead, there was a manager coming to the table to ask if we had a problem with the soup. We politely said no there was no problem, which we had no idea of what she was sent over for to ask something like that. as if the waitress told her something to make it seem as if we were asking for too much or causing a problem .Even after the fact, the waitress never brought over more salad or soup we had to ask a second time before she brought anything else over. We also asked if we could have some to go boxes so we could take our Child's food back home. The waitress replied yes, and later came back and skipped over our table, taking trays over to another table and asking if they had needed some to go trays to take back with them. we still did not get angry or upset, We politely asked her again if she could bring us some to go trays, this was the second time that we had to ask her . By this time, I just wanted to pay the Bill and get out of there then once again, realizing that the waitress on purposely remove the tablet off the table. We asked if she could bring the tablet back, so we could pay the bill. She was very hesitant to bring it back, maybe realizing that we were probably going to survey her and Olive Garden at this location for the horrible discrimination and bad behavior. For just trying to make our child more comfortable in a location where we never had this kind of problem before with special seating for our child needs. If this location is the representation of Olive Garden. Not respecting disability needs and bad service with retaliation. ?♿️
Panera Bread
10990 Jefferson Blvd, Culver City, CA 90230, United States
This was my first time at panera. And.The restaurant itself was okay. The restaurant could have used a little bit of cleaning.Maybe a little less A/C it was a bit cool in there, We ordered a cup of chicken noodle soup, a cup of chicken wild rice soup and and a half turkey avocado BLT sandwich cut in half and 2 drinks a small sprite was not good tasted like seltzer water. My mom got a Pepsi instead, and I had a small half and half tea/lemonade. All that for $38, the staff was pleasant and helpful, its a good place for a quick bite and the music wasnt bad.
California Pizza Kitchen at Culver Center
10704 Venice Boulevard, Culver Center, Culver City, CA 90232, United States
Great place to be ignored by staff. Took forever for anytime to come bring water. Took forever for the free bread, then as I was ready for a water refill, and wanted more bread, they had only brought us two pieces of bread for the table! Two slices, not two loafs...A wait person asks the table next to use if they want more bread and butter, and of they need anything... And I am expecting this person to come down one more table, to my table and ask the same question, but they do not they ignore my table and walk away. Then they bring that table more bread and oil and butter and refills, and nothing for my table. No one comes to check on us until the pizza arrives. I ask the person who is our wait person and they say its everyone, it is a group wait system. So I explain how poor there system is and she says sorry and asked if I wanted more bread. Now that the pizza is here I dont want more bread, but I needed more water. This person them tries to press more bread onto our table, I was hoping they would learn to be more responsive to their customers, when you go overboard after making a mistake it seems like your adding insult to injury. Listen I wanted more bread before the pizza came, now the pizza is here I dont want more bread... She brings me another water though. One minute after we get our pizza another girl comes over to ask of we need anything. I say no, she seems upset. Listen I needed water and bread while we waited 15-20 minutes for the pizza to cook. I now have water and pizza, why not come back in 5-8 minutes? No one comes back. I need more water. Is it wrong to drink three cups of water at lunch? We wait so long and no one comes, so I stand up to see where we can pay. Im ignored by two people, they just walk by, just oblivious to a person standing by the front area. This is a tiny place its not like you can hide anywhere. Finally I ask a person, who had already ignored me once, where can I pay. She says, you want to pay?Yes I want to pay is this job so difficult? This perpsn tells me they will get the check.A different person comes out with the check and tries to leave it and walk away.I tell them to take the card I dont need to wait any longer.Left no tip. Terrible service. The pizza is ok. Its CPK, it is ok pizza, it was close by, I was hungry for pizza.Ok pizza, F- service, no plans to go back. Wish people would learn how to do customer service better. It seems most people have forgotten what customer service is, and or dont care, and no training.I waited a few days to write this. If I get bad service I try and ignore it for a minute and think, does it really matter? Usually the answer is no.So by me writing this you can tell, it was that bad...

Hey, Sunshine Kitchen
3863 Overland Ave, Culver City, CA 90232, United States
As we strolled through the busy Culver center last weekend, an unexpected restaurant surprised us – Hey, Sunshine Kitchen. Without prior knowledge of its existence, we ventured inside, curious to learn what Hey, Sunshine has to offer. Much to our delight, we discovered a vegan restaurant with a wide ranging menu consisting of various bowls and salads, tacos, sandwiches, and burgers, and an array of tantalizing sides.Guided by our enthusiastic server/ host, who confidentally described each dish and side, we finally settled on the hot chicken sandwich and a side of sweet potato fries. The hot chicken sandwich was nothing short of extraordinary – its tender texture and subtle yet satisfying kick of heat was utter bliss. The carefully curated combination of crunchy pickles and creamy slaw accentuating the spice and gave the sandwich much needed textures. The sweet potato fries, a definite favorite of ours, were next level good. These fries achieve a perfect balance of a crisp exterior and a tender, melt-in-your-mouth interior – a feat that most restaurants struggle to accomplish. To further elevate our fries, we requested a side of dill aioli, and its zesty tanginess served as the perfect symphony of flavors, elevating the sweet potato fries even more.We eagerly anticipate our return to explore the various options that create their menu. With items such as bowls, burgers, and sides like mac and cheese and chickpea nuggets beckoning us, Hey, Sunshine Kitchen has undoubtedly gained itself a few additional customers. For anyone seeking an exuberant celebration of plant-based options, and a warm and welcoming vibe, Hey, Sunshine Kitchen is a must-visit stop at the Culver center that we hope sticks around for the long term.
Lustig
3273 Helms Ave, Culver City, CA 90232, United States
New Restaurant Alert! Lustig Restsurant, an Austrian concep by Chef Bernhard Maringer next door to Father's Office in Culver City. They have been in soft opening since 12/30. Just going to say it, the WeinerSchnitzel is much better than Spago's. It is more tender, a little thicker, and the breading is crunchy and juicy. The lingonberries on the side were also a nice complement. Another hit was the chicken liver profiteroles with their rich and velvety filling that worked w the dark chocolate and the verjus gelee. The surprise of the night was the beef cheek souerbraten that was tender as thick lengua. The spatzle was perfectly executed and not overcooked like so many. I also recommend the roasted beet salad w vanilla goat cheese and crispy Brussels sprouts. The breads and spreads were served warm and we ate every last crumb. The wine list has plenty of gruner veltliner and Blaufrankish. Unfortunately, they are not going to budge on the two bottle max for corkage. #thefoodietraveler2nd visit: Overtly dumbed down. Upon checking in the hostess aggressively argued w me over the seating arrangements we made on open table and I had to pull out my chats to “prove it.” Later, we were disappointed by food not executed nearly as well as we prior visit, such as soggy profiteroles, missing beets in beet salad, not crispy wienerschnitzel, spatzle replaced with potatoes on the sourbraten. And the most infuriating and insulting was we had requested ketchup not curry sauce w the fries which they did not bring until no more fries. So then we ordered another order of fries . They should have comped us for the second order but instead they charged us $2 for ketchup. We know where we are not welcome and we will not be returning.
The Brothers Sushi Culver City
9240 Culver Blvd, Culver City, CA 90232, United States
Charming, unobtrusive service—treating us like regulars from the get. Friendly, familial even. Fish was flavorful with unique, options I've never had before.Offered suggestions when asked but were not pushy nor simply pointing to the most expensive items on the menu.Spare decor and low lighting. Simple but pleasing.Perfect spot to catch up with a great friend I hadn't hung with in a while. We talked in our own world all night but any moment we looked up wanting to order something, someone was there ready to help. The don't have a full bar, offering soju cocktails instead.Only maybe a dozen fine sakes to choose from.Could use a more expansive list. The ladies restroom could have been better attended to though. But the were busy and it wasn't that big of a deal.Enjoyed and will be back.
Variable Cafe
13350 W Washington Blvd, Culver City, CA 90066, United States
This place is an absolute gem!! I had such an amazing experience from the service to their perfectly curated dishes and drinks, their adorable decor and great tunes, I had to come here pretty much every day of my stay! I'm from Canada and am not super familiar with LA, I stumbled on this place my first day here while I was waiting to check in at my place in marina del Rey. I'm so so grateful I did! The first day I came with my suitcases and exhausted from my trip, they let me hang out there for about 4 hours, I had the best coffee pretty much of my life, they were even okay with me repacking my bags and charged my phone for me!The service was so phenomenal I had to come back with my girlfriend when she arrived, and continued to come for my daily coffees. My girl loved it maybe even more than me! I ended up ordering some smoothies, lattes, their sweet potato fries, the drunk cauliflower, and the northern lights pasta, I would rate all of them 12/10 and I will be back for more before I head back! I loved this place so much that I didn't end up even going to that many other places cause I just didn't want to miss out on my daily get from this place! Go here! You will not regret it I promise!!Maya and Joel are lovely humans and I'm sad to be leaving them!
MAHAN INDIAN RESTAURANT Best Indian Restaurant ...
5660 Selmaraine Dr, Culver City, CA 90230, United States
I ordered take out from this restaurant recently. Their menu is well priced which is a nice surprise for west LA. I searched online and it appears to be a new business that opened recently by a well-known 5-star Indian cuisine chef. So don't let the lack of reviews fool you. The food is amazing! I've tried dozens of saag tofus over the years and this was definitely in the top. My partner enjoyed his paneer makhani, he said the curry was very flavorful and creamy. Their samosas are very tasty and perfectly crispy. And the roti is thick and satisfying. I live nearby so I'll be ordering from Mahan frequently! Highly recommended.
Shikibu
10834 Washington Blvd, Culver City, CA 90232, United States
Places like this deserve 6 stars. The sushi bar is humble. The food is passionately made. Chef Thomas and his wife Sohpia approach what they do to their fullest. The food here is balanced in flavor. The rice is so delicious that to waste a grain is too much. The sashimi was served at the perfect level of freshness and temperature. The crispy rice is something Ive never had before; it did not disappoint. Im glad I chose something unique. Id recommend trying out out.Thinking about normal sushi rice and then rice here isnt the same. It changes the experience of the rolls. The Alaska and Chewbacca rolls make my mouth water even thinking about it. The chefs choice on the special rolls is exquisite.I asked for his favorite roll. For that he served us the godzilla. Because the ingredients used were so fresh and prepared with such care, a usually greasey roll was rich with smokey flavors and balanced rice. For dessert we tried the truffle. They come out frozen and ad they thaw you can start to chizzle away at it. The food is meant to be eaten with as much care as it is made with. This is the place I will take visitors for sushi.Such a splendid experience.
Uzumaki Sushi
11060 Washington Blvd, Culver City, CA 90232, United States
My wife and I were eager to try the new sushi restaurant in Culver City on Washington Blvd. - since we live just a few blocks away, we kept waiting! Definitely worth waiting for - the sushi was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. We had a good selection, ordering the Uzumaki combination (edamame, their special ceviche, 5 pieces of nigiri and crunchy shrimp cut roll), miso soup, two kinds of tuna, and their popcorn shrimp. All of these were really good. The waitress made sure we knew which pieces had their own sauce and therefore ones we shouldnt use additional soy sauce. We look forward to going back! So nice to have a good little sushi spot on this side of Culver City.
