Panera Bread
5200 Ramon Rd, Palm Springs, CA 92264, United States
What happened to this place?? Came here a few months ago for a Cuban sandwich. It was amazingly good (and Im pretty fussy about my Cubans). Came back today for another one. What a disappointment! There was no lunch menu on display, so we ordered from the kiosks. There was no prompt to take a cup, so we didnt. No receipt. Took a pager and put it on the table. Their system for finding you consists of wandering around the dining room with your order until they find you (and your food is cold). The Cuban was very disappointing. All the meat was on one end. It was supposed to be a panini; it wasnt. It was essentially a sub. If I wanted a sub, Id have gone to the Subway across the street for half the price. Fruit cup my husband order didnt show up with his sandwich; it eventually arrived after he complained. The cookie he ordered never showed up; we left without it. Im not done yet! Dining room was dirty (tables and floor). Someone came by and asked if everything was OK. I asked why my sandwich wasnt a panini; she said she just started and (essentially) had no idea. Pleasant enough, but clueless. So much for training. And apparently they dont train their sandwich makers either. So this was a mistake; but itll be a long time before we make that mistake again.

Rejuvenate with Jan
Lido Palms Resort and Spa, 12801 Tamar Dr, Desert Hot Springs, CA 92240, United States
Searching for the best cleanse in Palm Springs? Stop looking and book Rejuvenate with Jan ASAP. Seriously. I came home feeling lighter and healthier and cleaner then I have felt in years! This was the BEST cleanse experience ever, culled from Jans years of personal experience, advanced study, and a warehouse of knowledge that is a cross between sound fact, gentle advice, and good humored insight. Whats really nice about the program, too, is that it offers a good blend of a structured and unstructured environment in a low-key, peaceful setting. At all moments you feel safe and in good hands, receiving as much as or as little personal attention as you want, along with a no nonsense approach to food and health and lots of (non-judge-y!) ideas for how to develop and continue healthy eating habits when youre back home in the real world. Other aspects I cant imagine youd find elsewhere: Jan is a SUPER committed, highly organized practitioner who carries out her mission to help, treat, and teach people with integrity, passion, and humor. Its clear that shes taken many, many people through the cleanse over the years, and so she truly knows what does and doesnt work. The program is carefully calibrated -- Jan doesnt overwhelm you with too much information at once, but instead gives you little bits at a time (which I loved), and this allows cleansers to be wholly present in the process at any given moment. Plus, Jan makes the whole experience - gasp - actually fun! Even when youre not feeling your best or are having a cleansing reaction (which is common), theres lots of laughter, positive energy, and just a good, shared experience simply because Jan is such a high energy and thoughtful, caring person. Also notable: Jan takes COVID safety precautions seriously and gives reminders throughout, not to mention that its a small, socially distanced group of people staying in visibly sterile, clean, and pleasant facilities. I felt this level of safety was mirrored at the hotel and by hotel staff and practitioners as well. What else - the resort and grounds are nicely maintained, the mineral waters are a wonderful aspect that you can enjoy throughout the day/night, and in fact, its such a small group of people, I was often the only one in any given mineral pool at a time. There are additional treatments you can book, such as breath work (which I found absolutely transformational), the rooms are sweet and spacious (with very comfy beds), and Jan adds countless thoughtful little touches such as a lending library, welcome baskets, plus some other surprises I wont reveal. In short, Jans is a carefully prepared, designed, and supervised cleanse program with homeyness, healing, and heart to boot-- and thats what makes it the obvious choice over other fancy-chi-chi--exorbitantly priced--area-cleanses that flashily scream their superiority and individualized approach in highly branded formats.Jans is the real deal. Thank you so much, Jan - I cannot wait to return!!!

Wrap Houz
555 S Palm Canyon Dr Ste A109, Palm Springs, CA 92264, United States
My husband and I enjoy Mediterranean food and Wrap house is now on our top 5 list. We loved the chicken Shawarma Wrap, and green lentil soup the most. We love how Hass and Karla are friendly, accommodating, and their willingness to make custom orders if given advance notice. The atmosphere is only 4 stars as this is take out only and there is NO space to dine in or bathrooms available. However, if you purchase a drink at the hair of the dog bar next door you can eat and relieve yourself there if you dont mind the bar atmosphere and are over 21. Not the best for kids or families but they do have delivery options available which I recommend if thats you because the food is worth it! Also side note the pita bread is more akin to lavash if that matters to you and although we preferred the chicken more this was the best beef shawarma we have had ever and that says alot because I typically dont even like beef shawarma. Happy eating!

Crudo Cervicheria Palm Springs
515 N Palm Canyon Dr #9, Palm Springs, CA 92262, United States
Ate here for an early dinner ~6pm on a Monday night and got an outdoor patio seat with a heated lamp. Food was excellent, my partner had the steak and fries and he said the cut of steak was one of the best he's ever had, no grisly bits at all and they cooked it medium rare without asking because of course it should always be cooked that way (haha his words). I ordered the special of the day which was grilled sea bass with a lemon caper sauce over pilaf and asparagus. The fish was cooked perfectly and the balance of the dish for flavors was excellent: salty, sweet, creamy. Daniel was our server and he was perfect, checking in on us without bothering us. The host that we were greeted at the door with was also very warm and welcoming. Overall a great experience during our road trip! We were originally going to go to chicken ranch next door, but were enticed by their menu and changed our mind, glad we did!

Freddies Kitchen at the Cole
2323 N Palm Canyon Dr, Palm Springs, CA 92262, United States
What a special find in Palm Springs. We were looking for a close-by restaurant for our last night in Palm Springs so I searched for restaurant by me. Freddies popped up and the high star rating immediately caught my attention. Freddies Kitchen is a charming cozy space with a nod to the mid century modern vibe. I love the fireplace with the couch. This started as a pop-up several months ago and is now a permanent spot. The food was fantastic. The French onion soup was flavorful without being salty as in so many restaurants. The escargot was also terrific. I had the short rib rigatoni which was rich and flavorful. My husband was thrilled with his elk medallions - not gamey at all, just tender and juicy. The crème brulée and bread pudding desserts were superb. Freddie checked with us several times to ask about our meal. The server was also friendly and attentive. We will definitely return during our next Palm Springs visit. Call for a reservation as the tables can fill quickly.

Gabinos Creperie
170 E Palm Canyon Dr #4, Palm Springs, CA 92264, United States
Okay, this is touted as one of those hip hole-in-the-wall (almost literally) places where the food is so good and the experience so unique it blows your multi-colored socks off. Lets start off by first saying its a pleasure to find someplace, anyplace in the Coachella Valley that doesnt cater to octogenerian taste buds. (How many bland food places can one region support, by the way? Apparently hundreds. Even many of the Hispanic restaurants are boring.) Another plus is that you order at a counter and dont have to suffer (and pay a tip to) yet another disinterested wait staff. Parking @ Gabinos is a challenge. Seating is very limited, outside, overlooks an alleyway (think dumpster-forward not quiant Paris), and uncomfortable (but, hey, its lunch, not a cruise ship pool deck, so toughen up). The problem with the seating area is when the entitled new mom in her sun-eclipsing BMW SUV pulls into the parking spot with her front bumper a foot from where youre sitting and leaves the engine running while proceeding to raise the curtain for her broadcast-to-the-back-row psuedo-modest performance of moving into the backseat with her madonna child to breast feed (the only problem about which I have is the engine smell and heat being sent my way, and, yeah, probably also the entitled attitude, but at least while she was expanding her carbon footprint she didnt have any hypocritical Save the Planet stickers on her suburban assault vehicle). So lets (at long last) get to the crepes. They are unique, different from any others Ive had. The crepe dough is cooked to a crispy-ish finish with cheese fried on the outside. Tasty, but a little greasy. The filling (the pesto chicken) is also tasty, but the way the crepe is served, folded into a triangle and offered in a cup more like a sno-cone, the pesto chicken tends to get pushed into one portion of the crepe while the add-ons, which bring needed flavor, are pushed to the other. So only a few bites of the crepe, eaten the way it is served, give you the full taste; the other bites are either mostly lettuce and dressing or mostly chicken-pesto (which is dry and lacking flavor compexity). You could, I suppose, deconstruct the crepe and go at it with knife and fork, but this isnt a plate-and-utensil setting, and could possibly probably draw the ire of the Gabinos faithful, of which there seems to be many. Im just not going to be one of them.

Jalisco Breakfast and Mexican Food
17725 N Indian Canyon Dr, North Palm Springs, CA 92258, United States
Definitely a must! Jalisco Breakfast and Mexican Food in North Palm Springs is an absolute hidden gem that truly delivers on all fronts. From the moment I stepped in, the friendly and helpful staff created an inviting atmosphere that set the stage for an exceptional dining experience. Don't let the outside deceive you! YOU HAVE TO EAT HERE :)The birria plate and birriaquiles were nothing short of amazing, showcasing the kitchens dedication to authentic Mexican flavors. The nachos and menudo definitely hit the spot as well. The family's genuine enthusiasm for their culinary offerings added an extra layer of warmth to the entire meal. Their recommendations and attentive service elevated the dining experience, making it not just a meal but a memorable journey into Mexican cuisine. For those seeking not only exceptional food but also a welcoming environment, Jalisco Breakfast and Mexican Food is where it's at. I highly recommend this spot where warmth, flavor, and friendliness come together for a delightful dining experience. Try the aguas frescas and definitely have dessert :) We're coming back before our trip is over. The locals are lucky to have this restaurant in their backyard. ?

PS UNDERGROUND
1700 S Camino Real STE 2, Palm Springs, CA 92264, United States
OMG...attended PS Underground ELVIS brunch this morning. HALLELUJAH! THE most FUN Sunday brunch in quite possibly the world. Food? EXQUISITE. Entertainment? FANTASTIC! Hilarity?? You better believe it!Start with being greeted at the door with a Bloody Mary & table assignment. Other drink options (like unlimited Mimosas) await at your table. The ambience is a festive & airy celebration of Elvis with his picture brightly exhibited across an expansive screen and his music piped through overhead speakers.Enter Michael & David, our hosts who introduce themselves onstage and give a brief history of PSUnderground--originally a secretive culinary & performance based idea that quickly outgrew its anonymity.Small wonder. Chef David Horgen is well known for his haute cuisine but thanks to partner Michael Fietsam, there are theme twists to the menu and terrific artists booked for every themed show. Each course today was preceded by quick & FUN live performances by the award winning GAND BAND & 2 different Elvises singing. People were up and dancing by the 2nd song, (11:50 a.m.) singing along in happy homage to the glory sequined days of Elvis. Then the soup. Oh, My, HOLY HEAVEN!! A pureed medley of vegetables with 2 shrimp gracefully laid in the top...And more Elvis ... and the second course. (By this time were dancing & eating and I forget to photo the entree in its beautiful presentation). Suffice to say I caught 1 pic of the last bites of egg/biscuit/super awesome sauce with arugula salad and gourmet sort of tater tots.More Elvises and band. Then the pièce de résistance... Chef David creates the ULTIMATE Elvis dessert--French toast with bananas & a KILLER peanut butter sauce. ( there were other options for peanut intolerant etc people). The WHOLE experience was a FAAABULOUS experience! We cant wait for what PS Underground plans next!!!

Aspen Mills Bakery & Bread Co
555 S Sunrise Way STE 101, Palm Springs, CA 92264, United States
I chose Aspen Mills Bread Bakery to cater a luncheon at a local non profit that was so deserving of being honored. Marty was an outstanding ambassador for Aspen Mills and offered professional, courteous, efficient, and generous customer service going above and beyond. Marty was not phased despite a few last minute changes that I made and quickly was able to accommodate those seamlessly with a pleasant and kind approach. The lunch boxes were meticulously and individually packed in baker boxes with a variety of the amazing sandwich options, side of salad, pickle and cookie. The Goodie bags were filled with a variety of one of the amazing choices of specialty breads from Challah Loaf to Banana Bread and Ancient Grains. I asked that each lunch box and bag be labeled with a special note and Marty did this by hand for each one, even adding an adorable sticker as well.I would highly recommend this wonderful bakery as an alternative to the plastic wrapped breads, as there are so many different freshly baked varieties to choose from. The sandwiches and salads are all made with fresh and healthy ingredients and the muffins, cookies, and carrot, bran and raisin muffins are a must to try.The freshly baked goods would make thoughtful and appreciated holiday gifts and Marty would ensure that they are beautifully packaged and presented.I highly recommend this outstanding bakery for all baked goods and catering which includes the delivery and set up. Amazing!I extend a special thank you to Marty for the professionalism and attention to detail in finalizing this event. Five Stars!
