Olive Garden Italian Restaurant
1176 Admiral Callaghan Ln, Vallejo, CA 94591, United States
My family and I recently celebrated a special occasion at Olive Garden in Vallejo, California, and it was truly a memorable experience worth sharing. Upon arrival with our party of seven, we were pleasantly surprised by the swift and courteous service provided by the hostess, who promptly seated us at a beautiful round table by the window. Our waitress was incredibly attentive and ensured that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Despite the restaurants bustling atmosphere, the ambiance was inviting and comfortable, adorned with tasteful decor that added to the overall dining experience. As usual, we indulged in some of our favorite dishes, including the chicken Gnocchi and soup Toscana, both of which were flavorful and satisfying. While the chicken gnocchi could have been slightly heartier, the breadsticks were a delightful addition to our meal, warm, soft, and perfectly seasoned.I personally enjoyed the shrimp appetizer, which had a delightful kick of spice that added depth to the flavors. For my main course, the steak and fettuccine Alfredo pasta did not disappoint, offering a perfect balance of flavors and textures.Overall, our visit to Olive Garden was a resounding success, thanks in large part to the attentive service and delectable cuisine. We left feeling thoroughly satisfied and already looking forward to our next visit. Olive Garden truly has a way of making us feel at home, and we cant wait to return for another memorable dining experience.

Panera Bread

It was very clean, pleasant decor, promo friendly and efficient, but....the sign board over the pickup window toellls the story. A stenciled blurb about the proteins, written to lull the reader into a belief that the proteins might be other than factory raised, talking about the proteins being fed a diet consisting of organic material, as if anyone feeds herbivores anything else? But no discussion of grass or range fed, no discussion of non GMO feed, no discussion of antibiotics and hormones. And a similar blurb trying to invoke an image of farm to table by discussing vegetables being harvested at the farm and delivered to the company. Well where do you think vegetables come from? And again, no discussion of non GMO, no discussion of FDA certified organic, no discussion of processing, storage and shipping. At the end of all that, the food was unsurprisingly mediocre. The bread was no better that that at Subway. The cheese was a lump at the bottom of the lackluster onion soup. The meats were highly processed and no better than Quiznos. So a better alternative than McDonalds but no better that other sandwich chains and only fit for on the road with no great options meals.

Im not sure how long this place has been here, but Im sure glad I found it today. I ordered takeout online at 12:32 p.m. and received notice when it was ready for pickup, which was 12:40 p.m. Now thats fast! I tried the Green Papaya Salad and the Spicy Thai Basil Chicken with steamed rice. $33.23 was the total. The salad was wonderful. You can order your preferred level of spice from 0-5. I love spicy food and ordered it at a spicy level of 3. I wouldnt suggest anything hotter than that unless you are a pro. I was wiping the sweat of my brow at a level 3. I thought it was just the right amount of heat. I was pretty full after eating the entire salad, so I only had a few bites of the main dish. I will eat the rest for lunch tomorrow. Next time, I will dine in so I can give my take on the ambiance. Will definitely be back soon!

Korean Fried Chicken & Box
3624 Sonoma Blvd, Vallejo, CA 94590, United States
Food was fresh, tasty and best of all not oily.. chicken was cooked perfect... Moist and lots of flavor! Service was friendly and welcoming. So happy to have a Korean place so close to home, cant wait to come back and try the other dishes ?We dined in for lunch on Easter Sunday. They have tables for sitting down but it seems the majority of orders are to-go. Because of this they were able to accommodate our party of 6 right away. Dine-in service was served in to-go containers but we didnt have a problem with it. If we had leftovers it was already packaged, but we didnt have leftovers ?Pardon my pics. I had hungry people at the table and they dug in right away before I remembered to take pics of the food ? if the pics come up in the order of posting:- menu- soft tofu soup (meat)- japchae- seafood pancake- fried dumplings- magic sprinkle half order (my personal fave)- soy garlic half order

K Manna
601 Tennessee St suite A, Vallejo, CA 94590, United States
God this place was good. This is one of those special spots: a family owned, inconspicuous strip mall joints serving some of (if not the) the best fried chicken Ive ever had.The food here is authentic and of the highest quality. We got the original wings and I really struggle to think of a single thing about them Id change. We also got a side of onion rings on a whim and they ended up being the best Ive ever had. There was a bit of a wait for the food. Everything is made to order and brought directly to you. But honestly Id wait twice as long given how good it was.The interior is nice and modest; simple and clean. The area the restaurant is in a less-than-nice area and while nothing happened we were sure not to leave anything in our car and felt a little sense of heightened caution. I certainly wouldnt blame them for that though. Were fully intending to come back and try some different items and sauce flavors. If youre in the Bay Area and love Korean fried chicken K Manna is legitimately worth a pilgrimage. Ive had nothing else here even come close.

Pho Hoang

May be the only place to have bone marrow soup in Vallejo. I cant recall seeing anyone else carrying this. The highlight for me is their spring rolls and bbq pork chop. The spring rolls didnt taste fishy and they dont use star anise in their bbq pork marinade. Im not a fan of this ingredient as it has a weird taste for me. Service was great and friendly. The restaurant is clean.

Outstandingly delicious food, authentic homemade feel, stellar service. 10/10 would recommendI ordered the tortilla soup and was extremely happy, my boyfriend ordered the Dutch crunch torta anD it was fantastic but the sign of a truly good Mexican restaurant is the chips and salsa and i have to say it was some of the best around. Thats saying something in Vallejo.

Michael Warring
8300 Bennington Dr, Vallejo, CA 94591, United States
Do I have good reasons for a 1 star review of an acclaimed restaurant? Well, you judge. The restaurant is in a standard retail storefront of a small shopping center. It has no atmosphere at all. If you plan to have a romantic date, this is one of the last places you would want to go. Everyone can hear everyone elses conversation unless you whisper. Its obvious obvious that this place was chosen because the rent is cheap and nothing was done to make it an inviting atmosphere. We reserved by phone and were told the only time open was 6:30pm. From S.F. you can plan on 90 minutes to get there during the dinner hour. It was a long drive and traffic was bad; we arrived 25 minutes late. There were exactly eight other people in the restaurant; it was more than half empty. The fixed tasting menu has four very small courses plus cheese and dessert. We were told that the first course, a salad, had been served and that the chef did not want to prepare it for us now because it would interrupt his concentration. We were also told by Mrs. Warring that there were three seatings in an evening, that each seating had a window of two hours, and if service did not start promptly and follow the schedule, the next service would be disrupted. Although I was upset about not receiving the first course, I sighed and accepted this reasoning. (It was only after the meal ended and I paid that I found out that there were no other seatings this evening and that Mr. and Mrs. Warring were anxious to close the restaurant and get home early.)Still under the illusion that there would be two more services that evening, I ordered a glass of an excellent red and received approximately 3 ounces, if that much. I asked if that was a standard pour and was told yes by Mr. Warrings wife, who was quite coldly and unsmilingly providing the waitress duties. Servers of course range from those who smile and are obviously happy with their work to those who hate their job and see you, the customer, as a problem that is ruining their day. Unfortunately, Mrs. Warring is a perfect example of the latter. Each time she passed by our table the few drops of wine in my glass became a few degrees cooler. The promise of great food, of course, is the main reason that one drives an hour and a half and pays high prices to eat in a shopping center. I cant comment on the first course. But the second course was a small one-inch cube of raw fish with a few bits of something and a 1/4 teaspoon of sauce drizzled over the fish. Perhaps a super-taster with a very dense system of taste buds and a nose for every nuance could appreciate the subtlety of the dish, but it was lost on me. The one bite of fish was excellent. The rest of the dish was all promise and no delivery. The third course was some kind of raw meat cut into five one-inch cubes. Tough and stringy is a perfect description of the quality of the meat. Almost impossible to cut and about five minutes to chew each cube. I suppose this was a strategy to extend the dining time given the miniscule portions. The chef would then have more time to prepare the cheese plate for the patrons. The cheese plate had three local cheeses. Mrs. Warring seemed very proud to announce that one of the cheeses had been aged for six months. Given that the week before in Bologna, Italy, I had tasted a three-cheese plate of Parmigiano aged 21, 24, and 36 years, I was not terribly impressed.Dessert was fine. When I paid, a little before 9pm, I noticed Mr. Warring cleaning and closing the kitchen. Of course, they charged me for all the courses even though they refused to serve the first course. Of course I will not be back. But as a warning to you, there are so many other excellent restaurants in the Bay Area and the wine country, why run the risk of an unpleasant experience, a server who doesnt like serving, a long drive, a high price, and a snob-attitude. Spend your money someplace else where you have a much better chance of having a great time!
