Lettuce Restaurant & Catering
1632 Locust St, Walnut Creek, CA 94596, United States
Everyone always wishes for a restaurant to grab a quick salad and soup. Lettuce is just that place but they also offer a small selection of pastas and sandwiches so there really is something for everyone. Plus, the half n half combo might be the best deal in all of Walnut Creek. I love the Napa salad or the Big Cobb salad plus the Butternut Squash soup. Perfect for any day of the week and any season of the year. The owners are great and the service is superb.

With Covid raging and eating at a restaurant is pretty much banned across the state, we tried this last night as we were tired and it was getting late. The drive through menu mostly consisted of salads, soup & bread. They had a bowl with chicken on the menu but it was sold out. The salads have chicken, greens and beans in them. The food wasnt bad just not really worth the price. Bread is the chewey, hard crust French bread and no butter was included. Our chocolate chip cookie was hard and borderline stale. Soup was tasty but on the sweet side.

Mr. Pho California Kitchen - Walnut
505 N Grand Ave Suite G, Walnut, CA 91789, United States
I tried Beef Pho, Spring Rolls, and Sandwich.Taste was just okay. Not that great, Not that bad.Very optimal for a new business.Definitely I will be there again to try another menus.Interior is very cooler than any others pho restaurant. It was feels like I am in the modern bar tbh.Spring Roll was so so. I recommend it.Pho had good portions of meats and noodles. Soup taste is just like “Oh it’s soup” If you really like deep tastes from soup or if you expected salty soup, you’d might be disappointed. However, just like what I said, it’s very optimal taste. You can control the salty with sauces. So wasn’t bad at all. I would love to try again with different types.Sandwich.Taste good But the portion of Sandwich wasn’t. If they put little bit more meats and veggies than I had. It will be good when I compares to the other pho places.Service is okay. Before covid, this place was a Japanese restaurant but unfortunately they couldn’t open and finally this new pho restaurant opened.Good luck for your successful business.I give 3 stars for now. After couple more visits, I will change it.

Up until today one of my favorite lunch places in the area. Went there at least once a week for the past two years. My all time favorite is the Pesto Chicken Sandwich. Its served cut in half so you can perfectly see the bit-sized chicken strips. For the first time today, mine were cold and clearly pink inside. Its chicken, so I decided to have the sandwich replaced. Better safe than sorry. Went back to the register to quietly tell them about it. Spoke to the manager in charge, an older male who seemed like he would actually be the owner. Now, instead of acknowledging and being sorry for this, he first doubted that its actually raw inside and showed me a plastic bag of chicken mentioning that this is how we buy it and its already pre-cooked, obviously not realizing that the mistake could have been on the supplier side too. Showing him the pink chicken pieces one more time, he agreed to make me a new sandwich. Once I got it, he left with the words I hope this does it for you.Didnt say sorry once but actually made it sound like its my fault. While these things can happen, the owners attitude is not only out of place but outright ridiculous. Got him that 1-star review and lost him a life-long customer.

Service is awesome! The drink specials are always so good and Im the kind of guy that always orders water when I go out.Make sure you make reservations. If you have a large group you can call a few days to a week or more ahead to ensure they can fit you in.Serving sizes arent huge but quite adequate.Ill hopefully add some photos when I eat there solo.

If you are looking for great service and amazing food and drink, You must make a stop at Ramonas Kitchen. We were visiting from out of town and had THE MOST AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS food. It is not very often you get to meet the owner of the restaurant. Gary was so fun to meet and definitely gifted at creating a memorable experience. We simply could not get enough. We tried the Meat Quiche, Lambordia, and the Lazio. Each with incredible flavors. My favorite was the Lazio but we are also looking forward to stopping in on Thursday for the Tri tip and Friday for the Meatballs. We heard its a very special family recipe from Garys grandma.

Methi
1251 S California Blvd, Walnut Creek, CA 94596, United States
Update after my first visit to Methi:I decided to give Methi another try and reordered the Bhel Puri, which I had enjoyed previously. This time, I also ordered the Chicken Tikka Kabab and Matar Paneer. Unfortunately, this experience changed my perception of the restaurant. While the Bhel Puri was consistent with my first visit, fresh and flavorful, the Chicken Tikka Kabab was a major letdown. The chicken was heavily colored with what appeared to be food coloring. As someone who has cooked Indian food for over 20 years, I found this quite disappointing. I decided to call the restaurant to provide my feedback, hoping for a constructive conversation. However, the staff seemed defensive and insisted that the vibrant red color was due to turmeric and spices, which I found to be an unconvincing explanation. The Matar Paneer, on the other hand, was decent, not particularly remarkable but not bad either.Overall, while the Bhel Puri remained a highlight, the experience with the Chicken Tikka Kabab has raised doubts about the authenticity and quality of the other dishes. The unwelcoming response to feedback also adds to my hesitation about revisiting. Its a mixed feeling now, with some good elements overshadowed by a concerning experience.First visit:I recently visited a charming little restaurant called Methi, nestled in the East Bay area, particularly in Walnut Creek. Its often challenging to find a good spot for chaat once you cross Berkeley, but Methi certainly fills that gap. Despite its modest size, Methi manages to deliver an impressive dining experience. The service at Methi was exceptional. The staff were attentive and friendly, making sure we felt welcome from the moment we stepped in. The atmosphere, though compact, was cozy and inviting, perfect for a casual dining experience. Its clear that the team at Methi takes pride in their work, and their dedication shines through in the quality of the food and service. We started our meal with their Bhel Puri, a quintessential chaat dish. All the base ingredients were incredibly fresh, which made a significant difference in the taste. The flavors were well-balanced, with the perfect mix of tangy, spicy, and sweet notes. It was evident that the kitchen uses high-quality ingredients, ensuring each bite was delightful.I also tried their chai, which was wonderfully aromatic and soothing. It had just the right amount of spice, making it an excellent accompaniment to the chaat. Although I didnt have the opportunity to try any of their entrees this time, the quality of the Bhel Puri and chai has certainly piqued my interest for future visits.Another highlight of Methi is its affordability. Despite the high quality of the food and the excellent service, the prices are very reasonable. Its refreshing to find a place that offers such value without compromising on taste or experience. In summary, Methi is a gem in the East Bay area, particularly for those craving authentic and delicious chaat in Walnut Creek. The great service, fresh ingredients, and reasonable prices make it a must-visit. I look forward to returning and exploring more of their menu. Highly recommended!

Heartland Cafe & Mart
152 Pierre Rd, Walnut, CA 91789, United States
Picking up some to-go earlier, the server wanted to verify if the order was correct. Sometimes I picked up for myself, but if it was for others, it was hard for me to verify unless I opened the bag, which would displease the actual consumer. The server was cordial though and verified at the end. It's a cute little store; the signage indicated that it was organic. Part of their store is assigned for dining and the rest showcases their snacks and variety of items, mostly natural I suppose. Trust they are selling quality items. It's located in a middle-class neighborhood full of patrons with sharp taste buds.
