Eriks DeliCaf
1074 S Green Valley Rd, Watsonville, CA 95076, United States
This place was 5 stars - about ten years ago. When Erik's deli had all the old timey decorations, wooden floors, and wooden wall hangings it was top notch. The service and food here was absolutely outstanding. Ever since Erik's decided to remodel their stores with the cold, unwelcoming, impersonal blueprint that is in most of their locations Erik's has gone downhill. When I walk in it feels like just another chain restaurant. Since the remodeling Erik's has become increasingly “corporate”. Food is good, but I feel for the price there are better, more local sandwiches to choose from. Also they don't give you pickles when you place an online order - what's the point when your sandwich is literally wrapped in a paper that says “respect the pickle”? Only took us one time of that happening and calling back to have someone tell us “if you want the pickle with your order you have to request it”. So we wrote a special request online today when we ordered. Had my mother in law pick it up and bring it to our house. Guess what, no pickle! I called them back just to let them know and a lady told me “the pickles are in the bag, I put them in myself”. They're not that's why I'm calling. “Yes I put them in the bag myself, they're in there”. The pickle is the last straw.Edit : Timi (the owner) reached out to us and made it right, we will be dining here again!

Strawberry Patch Cafe
734 E Lake Ave STE 1, Watsonville, CA 95076, United States
First off thank you. Its not easy running a great deli.Extra point for service animal no problem. The chai was watery though, had to add half and half and sugar to equate to Oregon chai latte that Im used to.The turkey sandwich, Pava Mia, would be great if they double the meat but it was a lot of bread by the end of it. I should have checked the special board but it was hiding way off on the left. When I asked what to get the cashier said turkey sandwich with mustard so I didnt get to try the turkey special sandwich which was disappointing to read after I already had bitten into the turkey sandwich with mustard. The breezeway was cold and dark, the trees need to be cut way back but it looks like a nice place to sit in it was 20 deg warmer. The truck lights needs replacement the whole menu is too dark to read and the servers are not really fully aware of everything they can offer.Ill come back and could probably eat something different here every day and never have tried the whole menu. Thanks

Sanka Mochan Hanumn Temple -- Reservations Requ...
445 Summit Rd, Watsonville, CA 95076, United States
Reservations are required for weekends/holidays and can be made on their website at 9am (if the visit date is close). The reservations can get full before 9.30am and you will have to login next day at 9am to make one. If you have any qs, call them and the management is very helpful on the phone. They have limited parking spots and the reservation system is to maintain that efficiently. The management is mostly non- Indian. If you are thinking of a meal reservation, expect lentil soup with pasta/enchiladas. We were camped at Mt.Madonna and decided to make a visit to the temple. After some research, we made reservations & decided to go for the 6pm Arthi during our stay at the campground. Nice quaint temple on the Madonna hills and 10 min drive from Madonna county park. The Hanumanji mandir is well taken care of and you can see the bhakti of the people caring for it. The Arthi was good, there was prasad (sheera/vada/fruits) thereafter. We visited their cafe, the samosas got over by 5pm, chai was still available but it was the worst chai Ive ever had. From the cafe, theres a nice hilltop view. Overall a nice visit to the temple, feels like a quaint countryside.

Kongs Burger & Cafe
15 E Beach St #101, Watsonville, CA 95076, United States
We have found our breakfast burrito spot! Kongs makes a really filling burrito that wont disappoint. It is not very greasy and everything is fresh, and the portion you get is more than enough to fill you up. Kongs also has an orange sauce that they make homemade and it is AMAZING! My husband asked for a small cup on the side and it goes great on the breakfast burrito. If you go here, never leave without that sauce it goes great on anything.Pretty much everything on the menu is really good whether its breakfast or lunch you are looking for this place wont disappoint. I believe all the ingredients used are organic and he and his wife have a very healthy cooking style. The bibimbap is my absolute favorite item. Its very healthy and always fresh, much better than imuras dish. Definitely one of our favorite spots to eat in watsonville.

Mays Garden Restaurant

We ordered the eggplant with black bean sauce, beef chow fun, and hot and sour soup. All the dishes tasted great! Definitely satisfied my comfort food craving. I would definitely come back when I'm back in the area.

Sukho Thai Restaurant
1433 Main St, Watsonville, CA 95076, United States
Just finished eating here a second time. The Tom Yum soup is literally the best Ive ever had and Ive had a lot. Not too spicy and not too mild and perfectly savory and sour. The Thai iced tea is very inexpensive compared to other restaurants. Service is fast and excellent the both times weve been here. This corner has had trouble for a while, but I think this restaurant will make it if the locals figure out its here.

Imura Japanese Restaurant
1994 Main St, Watsonville, CA 95076, United States
All in all, the food seems subpar and was not filling at all. I called to make a to-go order and asked if the Miso and tempura were vegan. The girl said the miso could be made vegan without the fish flakes but that the temperature had egg. So I ask for a to-go order of the Teriyaki tofu which came with miso and rice and she told me it also came with a salad. I asked about the salad dressing, if it had eggs, dairy, or fish, and she said she thought it had Dairy but she wasnt sure. I didnt get the vibe that she wanted to go and ask so I just asked for no dressing. She told me it would take about 15 minutes and I showed up about 10 minutes later, paid for the food, went to the restroom, and came out and the food was not ready I waited for another 10 minutes inside the restaurant. When I got the food she tied the to go bag so I was unable to see until I got to the car. She handed me the Miso soup and it was so hot it burned my hand. I opened it up and the hot rice and plain tofu were sitting in a box with a cold salad. If this is what they think Teriyaki tofu is they are sadly mistaken. I was excited when I saw all the tofu dishes on the menu, but if this is how they cook tofu then I probably will not be coming back here. I went back in and asked for teriyaki sauce because I did not see any on the tofu and told her I didnt think it was a good idea to put a cold salad in a box with hot tofu and hot rice. It took 5 minutes to get the smallest box they had with plain lettuce and a side of theyre not very good teriyaki sauce. I went out to my car to eat the food, because I knew that it would not be hot if I went to where I was going, but unfortunately it was already cold. The rice tasted dirty, the tofu was grilled on only one side with little to no sauce, the salad was warm, besides the small box that they gave me on the side, and this miso soup is so salty I cannot eat it. The side of tofu that didnt get grilled was put down on top of a bed of mixed lettuce and cabbage and the Cabbage absorbed into the bottom of the tofu making it not very appealing. A couple years ago I got some sushi from here that wasnt very good but I figured because this was a different kind of food maybe it wouldnt be that bad, but I am definitely disappointed. I dont think I will be coming back.

Miyuki Restaurant
452 E Lake Ave, Watsonville, CA 95076, United States
Appearance: slightly run down and in need of a new coat of paint, etc but also charming and has a comfortable, relaxed feeling to it that feels welcomingMenu: good selection of Japanese food with traditional dishes as wellFood: We ordered Sukiyaki beef which was quality beef in an overly salty broth; still edible but definitely only with mouthfuls of the vegetables. It came with miso and a typical salad of iceberg lettuce, a slice of tomato and red cabbage with a delicious sesame dressing. The miso was quite good, but standard. Very balanced and light flavors. We also ordered Rainbow roll, unagi-avocado roll, and ume-shiso roll. All were standard. The Rainbow roll was prepared with a clear seaweed sheet on top that made it appear plastic but it added no overt flavor to the roll, which was delicious and fresh.Service: friendly and helpful, prompt and relaxedPrice: fair and good for what we orderedOverall Impression: This is one of the only quality restaurants open till 9 on a weeknight in Watsonville. It feels like a family-owned place that has been there for over 25 years. It is serving good, quality Japanese food and I would recommend it to anyone who is used to standard Japanese food in the US. It is definitely a diamond in the rough.

California Grill and Bar
40 Penny Ln, Watsonville, CA 95076, United States
This is where you’ll find the locals. The kind of place that serves steak, pasta, seafood, and one heck of a chicken fried steak! The Firm’s cousins in Texas would be impressed. Owned by a local family, Cali G features fresh off the farm produce and an abundance of delicious salads. These people know their way around a head of lettuce. Love the wedge especially. Do not be fooled by the medical building location, Cali G is a full on restaurant with a large bar. Service is always top notch. Be sure to try one (or 2 if you ubered ) of the fresh cocktail creations. Yum! Specials every night in addition to the expansive menu. The Firm favors the cream of artichoke soup served on Wednesdays and the prime rib usually served up on Fridays. It is hands down the BEST cream of artichoke soup in these parts.

Gabys Restaurant
710 E Lake Ave, Watsonville, CA 95076, United States
We absolutely love this hidden restaurant jewel in Watsonville. We came here before the new ownership, and the food is still deliciously amazing! Is very costly friendly. Even though it looks untailored from the outside, dont let that make it your bad judgement not to step in and say hello to the locals. The food is excellent in taste, thought it can be a wait, but the tortillas- to die for! Try it out, bet you will he back!
