Olive Garden Italian Restaurant
13500 Whittier Blvd, Whittier, CA 90605, United States
Went for Lunch on Tuesday, I have been to many Olive Gardens Restaurants, But I dont think this place is ready to reopen to the public just yet. Waiter got our order all wrong, limited people allowed to dine in, about 5 tables at a time. Wait time was ridiculous to get our order, waited awhile for our drinks, Then we were told the bread was not ready, finished our soup & salad, we had to ask for bread stick which finally came, we ordered lunch specials, brought us large entrees, we told them it was wrong, But they charged us. Waiter had to go back twice to get the manager to make the adjustment on our bill, I finished and wanted to leave already, Manager took her sweet time, we waited for her about 20 min to come back out with the correct price. I dont know where the waiters head was, everything was wrong, Manager not on top of it, wont go back to the Whittier Olive Garden again!!

Octavios Restaurant
3960 Whittier Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90023, United States
Food is good.... However the owner has no sense of customer service. My mom and dad went for breakfast, when they got the check they overcharged them. My dad asked why was the overcharge. When he complained to the waitress the owner came and said that the right price was outside the restaurant not to go by the menu prices and if he wasnt okay with it to leave without paying and not to come back never again. Very rude on her side. My dad said that the money wasnt the issue, but why have two different prices, the owner didnt care about losing a customer oh well. My father paid his check at the end without the overcharge. The waitresses had great customer service except for the owner.

Was pretty excited about a new restaurant opening up, hoping that it would be a nice one in this area. The evening started ok with a little slowness that can happen in their grand opening. We ordered drinks and bottle of wine and both were good. Now with the food, my wife ordered the soup which wasLentil soup. The salt that was in it was very over poweringthat she couldnt eat it. The flavor was there, but way to much salt. My wifes entry was spinach and cheese ravioli but inside there was only cheese. They apologized and sent a new dish that was according to what the menu description said. It was tasty. My order was Veal Marsala. Not only that it was very over cooked, but the Marsala sauce was tasteless. And the vegetables that came with it were very cold. Accordingly they were understanding and deducted 50% off our bill. After dinner we sat at the bar area and ordered a after dinner drink which took about 25 minutes to receive after placing our order. We ordered 2 Irish coffees. When they came after 25 minutes they came with no whipped cream. Our server said the restaurant didnt have any.????? What restaurant doesnt have whipped cream??? Any way, they were quite delicious. Summary, We will be going back for another try, but only at the bar and not for the food. Although the pizzas looked good. All in all I would not call this fine dining. More like a step above Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill. But the wine selectionswere very good. Sorry to say that the food was subpar..

The Stand - American Classics Redefined
13815 Whittier Blvd, Whittier, CA 90605, United States
I had never heard of this restaurant until yesterday but apparently theyve been around since 2003.The venue is large and they have indoor seating, bar area seating and semi-outdoor seating with heat lamps all around. Lots of large TVs surrounding the bar with a couple of TVs in the semi-outdoor area. Its like a cross between The Habit burger and Lazy Dog for the atmosphere. The venue shares a parking lot with 5+ other businesses in a small/medium-ish size lot so expect to wait or park along the street. Some of the businesses sharing that lot: Jersey Mikes, Starbucks, another restaurant directly next door to them. It can be busy depending on what time of day you arrive. There were a lot of options on the menu and primarily American food with burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, salads, etc. My girlfriend and I tried their ABC Burger, Southwest Chicken Salad, french fries and onion rings. The food was good. None of those items wowed us but they were decent. The fries tasted a little overcooked while the onion rings definitely tasted undercooked, as they were soft upon first bite and not as crunchy as they looked. We also had their watermelon agua fresca drink which was good. They offered a blueberry version of that as well.Where this place shines is their service. You order the food from an employee at a register once you arrive and they give you a number. Wherever you choose to sit they will bring your food and ask if theres anything else needed. They promote to leave your trays and trash on the table once youre finished so they can buss the table. Those same bussers come around and also ask how the food was and if there are any other condiments, napkins, to-go boxes or anything needed, which is great.Overall, a decent spot for families, friends, sports game meet ups if youre looking for a good time with American food.

J Sushi Whittier
11879 Whittier Blvd, Whittier, CA 90601, United States
I stopped by to grab some food with family but upon walking in instead of being greeted with a warm welcome we see the owner or manager yelling at an employee with an extremely harsh tone. We decided to just walk away and go to a sushi place down the street. I honestly think the manager or owner didn't even realize we had walked in do to his yelling. Definitely feel bad for how the employee was treated no one should be treated like that. I refuse to eat here and any one who values and Respects female employees hard work should go somewhere else.

Dumpling Queen
16244 Whittier Blvd, Whittier, CA 90603, United States
I live in the SGV so I've had my share of delicious dumplings and these dumplings were fantastic! Fresh handmade dumpling skin around very flavorful fillings. Prices were more than fair for the quality & quantity. I wish I had taken pictures of the dishes but they were all pretty standard looking so I didn't think it was necessary. We tried all the dumplings and our favorites to recommend to others would be as follows:1) Queen dumplings. I love the flavor from the chives.2) Pan fried pork & cabbage dumplings3) Beef dumplingsThe other dumplings on the menu were variation of the pork & cabbage dumplings with the same delicious taste. We also tried the 2 noodle dishes and both were super tasty. I prefer the cold Liang Pi noodles but my friend preferred the warm Dandan Noodles. Both were really delicious and are worth ordering.Only thing lacking is that everything is served in “To Go” containers except the soup dumplings bcs it's literally in soup and NOT Xiao Long Bao. Also, they give you paper boats to use for family style sharing which is not the best in terms of sturdiness. Conclusion: I would definitely recommend and it will always be on my radar when I'm in the area.

ANB Japanese Grill
12548 Washington Blvd, Whittier, CA 90602, United States
It was our first time trying their food here and everything was so yummy! Their bento box is a lot of food for a good price. Salad, Rice with your choice of meat, 2 gyozas, fried tempura, miso soup, & 4 california sushi pieces. Everything was absolutely delicious. The chicken & the steak are soooooo bomb! Everything was really good. I enjoyed eating here for the first time, and I noticed they have really good customer service too. The cashier was so nice to everyone and he even had some regulars come in and he greeted them so nicely. He also asked us if everything was good. He checked up on us while we ate our food there. We cant wait to go back and try other dishes. I highly recommend this place if you love Japanese & grilled meat. Xoxo

Dakara Sushi
14748 Whittier Blvd, Whittier, CA 90605, United States
Coming from a more metropolitan area, I missed good sushi and it is near impossible to find good sushi in Orange County. Dakara Sushi doesnt fail to deliver. My layman taste buds tell me its an authentic sushi restaurant run by Japanese, based on my past trips to Japan. It is the closest thing to real, quality Japanese sushi I have come across in the OC area and I cant recommend this place enough. Their humble and unassuming presence convinces me they focus on the food and not display, which is exactly what I want. This is not to say their decor is subpar, but it doesnt involve tacky ornaments and, is thus, refreshing to see transparency and confidence in the way they present themselves. I consider Dakara a godsend in this sea of questionable sushi restaurants. I strongly recommend this place.
