YD Tofu House Restaurant
5609 Freeport Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95822, United States
Came here expecting parity to the first YD Tofu restaurant. But no. The service was so poor. The server ignored us for 20 minutes. Then a new server came and took our orders. One of the menu was taken wrong. But it was fine. But they missed another menu, making us wait 30 minutes for food to come in. Terrible service.

YD Tofu House

Walking into the restaurant made me feel like I would enjoy the food. The place was very neat but unfortunately the food wasnt. My sister and I order the seafood tofu soup and Bibimbap and were very disappointed. The soup was very bland that I had to put about 3 spoonfuls of salt and some sprinkle of pepper just to bring out the flavor. The Bibimbap was decent. Aside from the spicyness, there really wasnt much flavor to it as well. The only good thing about this place is its numerous side dishes! There were 15 of them! Wow! And i love everyone of them.

Hankook Tofu House
9521 Folsom Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95827, United States
My partner and I went to this place for the first time yesterday and it was absolutely delicious! I love Korean food and this place is definitely one of the best Korean restaurants Ive been too.My partner, who is more of a picky eater and only came to this restaurant because of me (and was very apprehensive to come here at all), had the bulgogi and loved it. I had the beef tofu soup and spicy pork combination. The spicy pork is probably the best Ive ever had. It was flavorful, cooked perfectly, and most importantly, not oily! All the food came out sizzling hot!The banchan was also very delicious and INCREDIBLY fresh. The owner said they make it fresh every morning and dont use too much oil, and you can definitely tell the difference. They had fish cakes, homemade kimchi (yum yum), pancake, bean sprouts, japchae, among other small plates. The place is very clean (I would not eat at any restaurant that isnt) and the service was great. The interior design is similar to a simple mom and pop shoppe, so dont expect anything fancy or flashy. The owners are very nice, as was everyone else, and they work hard for your business.I like this place way better than Oz and Blue House. I really like both of those places, but Hankook just has way fresher foods and my body could tell. I have a sensitive stomach, but will sacrifice for some good food. After eating at Hankook, my stomach felt satisfied and not upset or bloated (probably largely due to the high quality ingredients and limited grease/oil they use).Like other reviewers stated, Hankook is not on their sign. It only says Tofu House. Cant wait to be back!

Thanh Son Tofu

Customer service is very disappointed. I felt unwelcome like begging for food instead of paying for it. Although there was not crowded at the time, the woman was very impatient. She answered my questions with a loud voice that made me very uncomfortable. Her facial expression was uncool as well. I was planning to buy more but decided to walk out with only a few items. This is my second time there and the bad service was the same here with another middle age woman. I have had enough and will never go back here. Also, this place is Cash Only.

Charm Thai

This is my favorite Thai restaurant in Sacramento now. We only got the drunken noodle with tofu and it was perfection! They accidentally brought it with chicken instead of tofu first, but that was such a forgivable mistake because we were so pleased with our dish! The initial first bite flavor lasted until the end bite. We took the roti with green curry appetizer to go and had it as a nice snack for lunch the next day. Honestly, many of my go to Thai restaurants have gone down in quality and consistency and so many use frozen egg rolls now, or so spicy you burn your taste buds so Im so pleased to have found this gem! Will definitely be our go-to from now on.

southside super

The elevator pitch: a Vietnamese/Korean food shop nestled in a quaint location that perfectly fits the cuisine served. The pho was marvelous. While the usual condiments could have been added, after the taste test, I found the broth light and full enough that I did not feel the need to add any additional flavors . Added a bit of the pickled jalapeno, small squeeze of lime and the red pepper quietly placed on the counter, which added just the right amount of salt and acid to complete it.The take away option was perfect as well, but be sure to get there early enough as the Kimbap was gone by the time I had arrived (around 11:30am), but the available pork belly and quail egg made up for it. For sure will get there a bit earlier next time.Extra, but unnecessary explanation: This is a new shop and sitting at the counter was delightful. In the brief time I was there, I was able to catch smaller, endearing moments, as they find their rhythm in both preparation and serving. It feels very familiar and comfortable in every way and definitely recommend stopping by for their hot foods or staying for the prepared foods. I chose both and*will return for pictures =)

Buddha Bowls and Rolls
801 14th St Suite B, Sacramento, CA 95814, United States
Omg!!!! This place is SO FREAKING GOOD!!! I swear I have been ordering door dash from this place which is beyond expensive as they inflate prices on their site….but dang!! I finally got a chance to stop by in person and I am so glad I did because the prices are reasonable and the quality and portion of what you get in the Buddha Bowl is insanely large and I hope they keep it that way! ??I've been living off of their spring rolls because I'm lazy and I don't feel like cooking as I long hours. This food is so light fresh and they come with a crunchy stick in each bowl w/df rolls, loaded with all kinds of goodies I'm literally a slave to this place and I'm totally OKAY WITH IT!I have tried the cookies both Penang and mango coconut! Both FIRE!!!! ?I went to pick up my order yesterday and the owner Nai was super sweet, welcoming, and works super hard for customer service and satisfaction! She let me sample all the Thai teas and I'm obsessed!! The blue Thai tea is soooo good! Original Thai tea is a classic staple but the sweetness is PERFECTION!! I'm going to get the Green Tea next time because it blew my mind.Seriously don't change a thing because CUSTOMER FOR LIFE and bringing all my family and friends!!! Place is BOMB??10 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sohunan of Henrys Hunan
674 Sacramento St, San Francisco, CA 94111, United States
Came here for dinner while visiting the City and staying at a nearby hotel. You cant easily tell from the outside, but in addition to the small downstairs area, they have a spacious, beautifully-remodeled dining room upstairs. It has a modern, clean feel, and beautiful classical music was playing in the background.I was a little worried the food might be too spicy for our liking, but they accommodated our request for mild, and it was just right. We had hot & sour soup, orange chicken, sweet & sour chicken, Mongolian beef, and veggie fried rice. Everything tasted absolutely delicious! No greasy, overpowering, artificial-tasting sauces that leave me feeling heavy after. My kids loved everything too and kept saying (both during our meal and for hours after) that we must write a 5-star review and go back next time we are in San Francisco. When we arrived at home the next evening, my daughter reminded me several times to write a review :)Our waiter, who we learned also runs the restaurant, was very friendly and helpful. Bathroom was modern and clean (which hasnt been our experience with a lot of casual city restaurants). Everything was reasonably priced.Highly recommend and well definitely go back when were in the area.

Fulton Pho
3100 Fulton Ave #103, Sacramento, CA 95821, United States
Update: Came back to have the vegetarian pho, and it was good! Perfect for a rainy day. No tofu, but appreciated the fresh veggies with veg broth, very clean and tasty. Thank you for keeping your word and adding it to the menu. I updated my review to 4 stars but for whatever reason its not taking. Im leaving the original review to show other restaurants in Sacramento that having vegetarian options is important.Dont like the 3 TVs in the dining area though.Original review:really NO vegetarian pho?!potential customer lost.prices are high compared to literally any other, people can do research.

Bambi Vegan Tacos
1725 I St, Sacramento, CA 95811, United States
I typed in vegan burritos near me as Ive done a few times in the past few weeks. Ive been having a taste for REAL vegan Mexican food and not put together options at a non-vegan place. Bambi Vegan Tacos popped up in my search for the first time. In previous searches I scrolled down past the first 5 or so results because they werent vegan restaurants and Bambi Vegan Tacos never showed up. I was surprised that this time it popped up in the first 3 results. I went there, got my food and came home. I honestly dont know how to correctly describe the flavors I was experiencing. Ive had delicious vegan foods that Ive loved because theyve tasted like other delicious meals, but this food from Bambi Vegan Tacos tasted like a beautiful collaboration of flavors that I cant recall ever being introduced to. I had gotten 4 different meals and each one had a different flavorful experience. Even the drink I ordered while waiting for my food to be made tasted like an unfamiliar blend of delicious flavors which I couldnt compare to any previous drinks. After enjoying the barrage of unique exciting flavors each different item provided, I knew that I would be sharing my experience in a review. I grabbed my phone and searched vegan burritos near me like before because I wasnt positive that I had the name right and Bambi Vegan Tacos didnt show up in the results. I had to scroll down for a bit until I found it. That was weird. Ill be back!!!
