Kaju Soft Tofu Restaurant
5408 Walnut Ave, Irvine, CA 92604, United States
I always loved kaju but this spot is even better. the employees is what makes it great.I usually eat the usual here because its what I crave for. I always wanted to try other things but my usual just wins all the time hahaMy usual:The highest level of tofu soup with intestines. My friend told me to get oysters and add intestines, and this time I did that. GAME CHANGER!!! SO GOOD! getting this way from now on...alwayswith that, will get beef galbi.my friends and I would just share a combo and order an extra tofu soup so we dont have to share.New things I tried:Seafood Pancakes - ahhh love it. it is packed with all these seafood. every bite literally has seafood in it. Shrimp, octopus, etc. its huge too! You either just have to eat that solo and not order anything else or share it with friends. I recommend sharing it. Only thing I would request is have they make it more crispy.Bibimbap... I never tried it at Kaju and wanted to. I couldnt decided which one to choose from. Either the mushroom or seafood. I thought, lets keep this day all seafood. and wow! glad I chose seafood. I now know that I will be ordering this in the future.

No longer a cash only restaurant, they require a minimum to run a credit card. One of our favorite places for Taiwanese cuisine and especially the stinky tofu— one of the best places in LA. Need to add the chili sauce to the tofu and the preserved cabbage to complete the true Taiwan experience.

Really good fresh Vietnamese food. One of my go to lunch spots and as expensive as other Vietnamese restaurants around the area. My favorite is the lemongrass tofu banh mi.
Poki Point - Walnut

Really interesting menu. My friends brought me here late at night. I actually got the Matcha milk tea with boba. I really liked it! Good texture, soft and chewy. Their regular poke was also good with 3 proteins (you can build your own bowl that has a good selection of toppings and sauces). Id like to try more of the menu when I come again.
Cholita Linda

The food here is wonderful. I am a big fan of their location in SF Ferry Building, so I was happy to see they opened a location in Walnut Creek. The service here at the Walnut Creek location really needs some work. We waited over 45 minutes for 3 tacos at lunch. We finally got up to check on the order and they lost it!They said “ok we will make it right now”I then waited another 15 minutes and they still had not made it! So I asked for my money back. They then offered to make the food for us anyway, for free, and we agreed, but when they brought the order they brought it as a to-go order, and when we finally got to eat it they had also shorted the meal a taco.I had come in to have a nice sit-down lunch with my partner and unfortunately we left frustrated. Try the SF location!
Andaman Thai Walnut Creek

This is the third time I’ve eaten at Adaman Thai. The atmosphere is very nice and the servers are friendly. The food today was disappointing. The Tom yum soup was not hot and the chicken was dry and stringy. The pad Thai was shrimp with tofu. The tofu was dry and hard which spoiled the dish. The beef with eggplant was tasty but very little eggplant . The beef was dry and chewy..Hot water was not hot.Waiter didn’t bring serving spoons..I don’t know if I will come again to this restaurant.
SanDai & KOPI Bar

Started off my evening with a cocktail and I am fond of coconut rum, so I chose to order the INDOMEX which has a Mezcal, coconut ? rum, pineapple ? juice, lime, juice, and agave. Can you say Yum I loved it. ? my partner loves spicy. I'm not too fond of it so they ordered the spicy Putera Naga in which has a salsa, tequila, fire, tincture, lychee, dragon fruit, and lime juice. They were very happy with their drink. Just look at the ingredients. Need you say more. Yum Yum.Started dinner off with a SATAY of Tiger Prawns ? . They were colossal, seasoned to perfection and delicious ? !!!Moving onto the main course of our meal I am a huge seafood ? Fan so I ended up ordering the chili, Dungeness crab. The seasoning was amazing. The smell was divine. My taste buds were just absolutely going crazy, and I even had to compose myself over not making a full of myself and wanting to suck down all the and all it was that good. The pineapple salad that came with it I thought was not going to go well with it but I must say it was very complementary to the dish itself. And although I was absolutely stuffed by the appetizer and the dinner, who doesn't have room for dessert. I'm a huge chocolate fan, but I decided to go with the carrot cake and boy am I glad I did the environment the food, the ambience, the service, the drinks it was all just amazing, and that's why I give this place five stars will I come back again absolutely for sure
Toyosu
1552 Locust St, Walnut Creek, CA 94596, United States
Absolutely love this place and highly recommend it if youre in search of a higher end sushi/sashimi restaurant thats perfect for casual dinner nights, but are especially perfect for date nights or celebrations!I mainly ordered rolls when I arrived as I was eating with several friends and we wanted a hefty amount of food but a wide variety too. We chose the: Osho, Spider-man, Mount Fuji, and Ring of Fire. Can we talk about how pretty these rolls are?! In terms of aesthetics, I was really impressed with how all of the rolls looked (especially the Osho) and how they were presented on the plate since Im also a visual eater. The Mount Fuji roll was sooo cute because the scallops were meticulously placed in a way where it looked as though the roll was exploding! While the Osho is the most uniquely arranged roll and was the most decorated plate. The banana leaf, mango sauce, and the Osho pieces being stacked in the middle of the dish in a tower made it look so delicious that we didnt want to ruin the plate when we ate it!In terms of taste, the Osho roll was without a doubt my favorite roll too! In order of my favorites its the Osho, Spider-man, Ring of Fire, and then the Mount Fuji. The Osho actually had real minced lobster so its actually worth the price you pay for the roll in my opinion. While the mango sauce added a sweet yet fresh taste to the roll. The scallops on the Mount Fuji was also flavored incredibly well. All of the fish by appearance and by taste tasted incredibly fresh and when I asked the server they said they get fish flown out basically weekly!
Tatsu Sushi
1837 Ygnacio Valley Rd, Walnut Creek, CA 94598, United States
I like this place as it has many manufacturers choices of dishes. Went with a group of colleagues for lunch at this place. The decoration is unique. The staff very friendly and busy. Arrived there about 11:30am and there was.only 2 couples in.. we made it before the lunch rush, as we were waiting about 20 minutes for the food to arrive at our table. The groups kept coming in.The food... I cant say about how good it is. Bravo to the chefs. The wait staff maintained everyone waiting and even provided the full house of customers with lightly fried & delicious pot stickers stating this is on the house. Thank you for waiting.I had the spicy Ramen. The broth was colorfully red and you can see the spices on the noodles as I grabbed them up with the chopsticks.I will give this place a 4 stars rating. Food good, staff good, but to their detriment unfortunately does not provide a military/ Veterans Discount. Note: some ethnic food (Mexican, Indian, Mediterranean, Chinese, Ramen, Korean) places do honor Military and Veteran discounts by showing it and demonstrating as much. Sorry, that extra (5th) star is reserved solely for Military honors. Now some places dont and depending on the wait staff or management, have had a few that the business doesnt offically honor Military discounts, but some would supply a Senior discount in its place. Depending on the provided product and service, willing to give 5 stars in those cases.
MaLuBianBian HotPot Tustin
1056 Walnut Ave, Tustin, CA 92780, United States
This is my first time at this restaurant. Saw the happy hour deal with $1 soup base. Regular price around $10.99 for the soup base we order - mushroom and tomato soup combo. Soup has good blend of flavor but I have had better soup before. Skewers are around $2.39 each plate of 5 skewers and there are plenty of choices you can order. We ordered lotus root, tofu skin, original wagyu beef and garlic beef. We also ordered a plate of handmade mashed shrimp paste $13.99, which was deliciously bouncy, according to my son; a vegetable combo, that has the napa cabbage, spinah and sliced fresh shitake mushroom for $9.99; and hot pot noodles for $3.99. The noodles come with 2 servings but the texture is thin and medium softness, not al dente. The dipping sauce / snack bar is $2.99 per person. They have enough selections for appetizers and desserts. Plenty of choices for sauces and condiments.Overall, this place is average compared to the many hot pot places around this area. But no other place can beat the $1 soup base for their happy hour. Promo is from Nov 1st to 30th 2023.
