Taco Bell
4041 Manzanita Ave, Carmichael, CA 95608, United States
I had my usual lunch meal of a bean burrito and a chicken chalupa. It was okay I guess, although I miss the 7 layer burrito and the tostada which they discontinued probably to replace them with more expensive selections. They also used to have the encharito which was kind of like an enchilada. It was also discontinued. I know that these items were popular among taco bell customers as a lot of people including friends and acquaintances were disappointed that these items disappeared from the menu. A few friends and coworkers I know are vegetarians and they liked the tostada and 7 layer burrito and were disappointed with the removal of their favorites, so now they dont eat there anymore. They are now eating at a reasonably priced Mexican restaurant. I dont think that the corporation which owns taco bell (pepsico?) has any idea of the number of customers they lost or the company feels no change in business. There are probably more people taking the place of lost customers.I will continue to eat there as long as they keep serving what I eat. The day they discontinue what I like, I will no longer be eating there.
Papa Murphys Take N Bake Pizza
6470 Fair Oaks Blvd, Carmichael, CA 95608, United States
I love this Papa Murphys. The staff are friendly and take your order well over the phone. I always order the family size chicken bacon artichoke Pizza on original crust without cheese and without creamy garlic sauce. Instead they put down olive oil. I have a dairy allergy so its very hard for me to find pizza that still taste good. This pizza never fails to be delicious! And the staff here actually get my order right. Ive tried to order this from a couple of different Papa Murphys locations and it seems like they often make some kind of mistake. Anyway I appreciate how the staff at this location follow the instructions I give. This is the only Pizza I eat and it tastes good and is an amazing deal. ?

Baam e Dunia Restaurant
4110 Manzanita Ave, Carmichael, CA 95608, United States
It's not the easiest place to spot, located in the shopping center that houses Safeway, but it's worth finding. We ordered way too much food as always: the bolani, Qabali Palaw, combination kabob plate, lentil soup, chicken curry and mantoo.Everything was incredibly good! The bolani and Qabali Palaw in particular were amazing. Bolani is a kind of flatbread filled with mashed potatoes and scallions, and this is the best version we've ever had. The lamb shank was perfectly cooked and the rice so fluffy and flavorful. The lentil soup had a very nice blend of seasonings and was very enjoyable. The chicken curry was quite mild but the flavor was great. The only minor thing was that the lamb kabob could have been more tender but it was still quite tasty. The owners are lovely people and the service was very friendly, but the food did take a while to come out. However it was well worth the wait! Highly recommended!
Skips Kitchen
4717 El Camino Ave, Carmichael, CA 95608, United States
If youre on a mission for a true mom-and-pop neighborhood hole-in-the-wall restaurant, Skips Kitchen is definitely worth checking out. Considering this place has had a lot of recognition, praise, and positive vibes as well as being one of Sacramentos top restaurants, I had to see what the whole fuss was about. Having been opened since late-2011, this place has been doing things right with their delicious comfort food.Located directly on El Camino Ave. (with Mission Ave. being the nearest cross street), this place is situated right at the Carmichael/Arden border in a predominantly residential area. There is a small parking lot near the rear of the business as well as generous outdoor seating (with green turf) located outside on the main street. Inside, there are at least 12 booths that vary in size for small and moderate sized parties. The large glass windows provide a ton of natural light. Additionally, they offer a self-serve fountain drink station as well as two gender-optional restrooms.Upon entry, you grab a menu and order directly at the front counter. I like this concept way more than an actual waiter service since it expedites the entire ordering process. After placing your order, the cashier lays out a full deck of cards face down. IF you pick the Joker out of the deck, your meal is FREE! All I grabbed was a deuce so I didnt win. However, your card is basically used as your order number when your food is brought out to the table. Definitely a unique process that Ive never seen before at any restaurant. After looking at the menu, I ended up going with the B.O.M. Sliders (which came as a trio of 3). These sliders included bacon and onion marmalade, house sauce, and provolone cheese. I chose criss-cut fries as my side as well as a Grilled Caesar Salad which had charred hearts of romaine, crostini, Caesar dressing, and shaved Parmesan cheese. I completed my meal with a regular sized self-serve soft drink. My +1 went with an order of their Chicken Strips. This was hand breaded, fried chicken strips complete with dipping sauce and also a side order of criss-cut fries. Total price for both of our orders came out to a very inexpensive $31.00 (after tax).Even though they were swamped with customers (keep in mind this was at 6:45pm on a Saturday evening in August), our food arrives in just under 15 minutes. Not bad since they were juggling the dine-in, to-go, and food delivery services while always keeping a smile on their faces. My sliders were seasoned to perfection and quite generous with a nicely toasted slider bun. The fries were hot and crispy. And the charred Caesar salad added to some of that smokiness to it. The salad was given to me with whole romaine leaves which I have seen at other various restaurants. All in all, Skips Kitchen does things the right way. Amazing service (our server and busboy both checked up on us), unbeatable prices, and a menu that both parents and kids will love. They have all the comfort food classics including pork sliders, mac & cheese bites, wings, sandwiches, and burgers. They also offer ice cream sandwiches and shakes. And for the over 21 crowd, they have a nice variety of bottled and draft beer as well as a small selection of red and white wines. With that said and done, I am giving the folks at Skips Kitchen an above-average four star rating.
Fast Cat Coffee
7901 Fair Oaks Blvd, Carmichael, CA 95608, United States
Below is the original review I made where Ive rated them 1 star in 2021. I religiously avoided this restaurant when it came to DoorDash. Im keeping it below because we are humans and should allow room for error and grace. We are all not perfect. I had the opportunity to revisit this establishment and am blown away by Owner and her Husband Caleb. It was a great experience the second time around and I will definitely be going back. I delivered an Instacart order and Caleb offered me a drink. I felt like I was at the Doctors and he was carefully constructing a drink that not only would taste extremely great but was also HEALTHY for my body. The Owner said she has a ton of secret menu options and I cant wait. Starbucks and Peets take a back seat with Fast Cat Coffee. If I could I give negative 0. Came to pick up a door dash order. . stood there for 10 mins. No ill be right with you. One moment. Nothing. Then a non colored man walks in and is immediately assisted. Never used their service because the non colored man in front vibe was always off. Today was a confirmation. Im not even a customer. Lol! Im picking up om behalf of YOUR customer. THEN he coughed lips closed with no mask on. Ugh. I just walked away. Its 2021 its covid and they do not pass the vibe check.

El Palmar Mexican Restaurant
2452 Mission Ave, Carmichael, CA 95608, United States
Local, family run restaurant thats been here for years, although this was my first time here. Good services and prices, but Im partial to El papagayo mainly since I always have gone here and theres more vegetarian options..Lastly both places have a full bar..
Yerevan Bar and Restaurant
7600 Fair Oaks Blvd, Carmichael, CA 95608, United States
First time here. Khinkali were not that great, beef filling seemed store bought, Ive had real ones with actual ground beef. Borscht was as it should be, hearty and savory; although I asked for vegetarian borscht mine had a few pieces of lamb, which is fine.. I did enjoy it :) . Hummus tasted homemade which is rare in restaurants; served with a large amount lavash and diced baguette. Staff are quite attentive and have welcoming charisma. Atmosphere was comforting especially the green color. Suffice to say I will be back to try more meat dishes like Kebap and the Lamb Rack etc. I think meat is their specialty.
MATTEOS PIZZA & BISTRO
5132 Arden Wy, Carmichael, CA 95608, United States
I think Pete or Peter helped me and I just want to say because of him they made a customer. Im fairly new to the area and went for the bike shop next door (also great customer service i think Dave helped me) but saw this place and walked in to check it out. They have a huge wine selection and I dont know much about wine. He asked what I like and picked a few around that. I bought every one and even a few others cause I liked the labels. I had his first suggestion with dinner tonight and it was delicious. But beside that I decided to stay and eat because I overheard him describing a pizza to other customers. I got a Mendecino sandwich which was delicious. I ate outside and the atmosphere was relaxing. I went on a Friday and Im excited to go back Wednesday for their wine tasting. I also briefly spoke with a woman who apparently is the owner about a plant outside (kangaroo paw). *footnote* She was incredibly friendly and I felt welcomed to observe the landscaping even though I felt a little weird because its not a botanical garden crying out loud. Anyways if youre reading this and debating going here Id say stop reading and go. Even if pizza and wine isnt your thing they have burgers and wings and a full bar. Beside that the service is top notch and you cant buy that. Im so happy I decided to go to bike store instead of ordering on Amazon.P.s. they have wines specifically bottled for this establishment. Peter told me I probably wouldnt like them since I said I like box Moscatos because its sweet and east to drink... Im getting it next time I go though. I already left with 7 bottles and Im so excited to try every one. This place is classy but isnt pretentious about it. I work construction and had a day off this Friday, I feel completely comfortable going in work clothes wednesday so I can sample some of their wine selection instead of buying the entire bottle.*I was looking up the Google reviews while waiting for my food.*
Mark & Monicas Family Pizza
4751 Manzanita Ave, Carmichael, CA 95608, United States
As a Fair Oaks born resident I pretty much grew up with Mark & Monicas Pizza. It is located on Manzanita Blvd across from Crestview Shopping Centet ( who remembers Baskin Robbins, Luckys Grocery, the Cake & candy shop, Crestview Cinema where admission was only a dollar, the Chinese Buffett, gameroom & more)? LOL..I guess you can pretty much say that I am a professional when it comes to the value of the Restaurants recommendations! First step..walk in & smell the mouth watering aroma & view the great inside..Large Screen TV, arcade, full bar, party & event rooms, seating, ect...secondly meet the awesome employees as they greet yo with a smile always ready & prepared to offer & recommend items. Thirdly..gawk at the awesome huge menu & attempt to all agree what to order..pizza...sandwiches..pasta...chicken wings, jalapeno poppers, potato skins, breadsticks, salad or salad bar..then comes the drinks!!?.. Water, sodas, beers, wine, spirits (if its NOT on the menu just ask & describe what you like & want..they will try & most likely succeed & above to make it your way). Then choose a place to eat. And enjoy. If kids get rowdy (they usually do) there is a arcade with various fun games & things to preoccupy them for a while. And there is a large screen tv to watch. And while the kids are at play enjoy a drink or 2 from the bar..dont you deserve it? ( drink wisely & always designate a driver). So my reccomendation? Try everything. I order a thick crust pizza half signature sauce half garlic white sauce or maybe pesto or maybe greek? Then all the toppings..cheese, pepperoni, sausage, canadian bacon, onions, tomatoes, bell peppers, mushrooms, olives, spinach, artichoke, & dont forget the pineapple & even more Extra extra cheese ( 1 can never have enough cheese & no I am NOT a mouse! Served with hot melted butter & ranch dressing for dipping! A huge gigantic yum!! I know youll quickly become a regular. And dont forget dessert!! Better than moms apple pie..a pizza topped with cinnamon apple strudel drizzled with powdered sugar..oozing with sticky deliciousness!! ????? i guarantee youll love it!! Theres a reason they been in the same spot since 1987. And now they have expanded to other locations due to their great success!! They also do fundraisers & events!! Whats not to love? So come one, come all, bring the whole crew..family, friends, coworkers, business meetingss, tho celebrate a win or loss..just about anything. And tell them Lizzie aka Icesk8rliz sent you! !!
