Ngoc Thuyen Vegetarian Foods
12081 Brookhurst St Ste 3, Garden Grove, CA 92840, United States
I was glad to see a vegetarian food stand opened up in Viet Thuan market which was really convenient. Unfortunately, the quality of the food is not good. I only ordered the vegetarian stew (do chay kho) which is typically popular and tasty but it tasted very strange, in a bad way. The tofu had a weird texture like there was corn starch mixed in with the soy, which tasted terrible. The sauce used in the stew was really thick with corn starch which also didnt taste good. The spices used for the sauce had an unusual flavor, not like the typical vegetarian flavor.Anyway, I couldnt be sure if it was the strange spices or maybe the food was spoiled. Probably wont be coming back any time soon.

Hoa Sen
12180 Brookhurst St, Garden Grove, CA 92840, United States
This place changed my perspective on vegetarian restaurants. Easily recommendation from me!Used to always be a proud meathead but had a respect for vegetarian/vegan restaurants as I believed they had to be good to be around. After giving Hoa Sen a try with some friends, I realised that meat isnt always the best thing in a meal. Almost every single order Ive had here has been a smash. The Happy Hoa Sen salad is usually a staple when I go with friends to share. Vegetarian food already feels light in general but this was a great refresher between bites. The Com Dap is a comforting crunchy-ish rice dish that feels like a sure hit with anyone indecisive. The claypot rice is my favourite meal here for sure, reminding me of an amazing rice and mushroom dish at a now closed tapas restaurant. These two rice dishes come with their own sauces if I remember right that absolutely change the way the meal tastes, and not just like adding soy sauce. The house special fried rice is a nice familiar staple for those less adventurous, and its impressive that theres even vegetarian pork floss! The Mi Xao Gion isnt much to write about though, as Im not much of a mi xao person. The servers are all very nice and friendly, with the restaurant making good use of space although on the cozier side. The food doesnt crank out fast but you wont be waiting too long.

Vegan Pizza - Garden Grove
12022 Chapman Ave, Garden Grove, CA 92840, United States
We ordered the Spicy Thai Pizza and Breadsticks along with a side of ranch. The pizza we ordered was supposed to have additional toppings that were missing. You can see the difference if you compare photos of it with others. We ordered when were still at Disneyland. When the app said the order was already ready, we entered the restaurant. We waited too long to finally be paid attention to. The cashier said it will be another 5 minutes. Of course, it wasnt 5 minutes. It was over 25 minutes after the app said our pizza was ready that it was finally ready.Additionally, the pizza is *not* spicy nor does it seem to have any flavor at all except when we luckily got a bite with a pineapple. The cheese has NO flavor. The Thai sauce tasted merely like oil. The pizza crust is not tasty. Truly, an Amys *frozen* pizza has *far better* crust and you dont have to wait an hour for it to be cooked. The pizza was supposed to have 10 slices per their own menu, yet only had 8. Thus, we might have received the wrong size. The breadsticks, despite being hard and not fresh, were slightly tastier than the pizza, but thats ONLY because we purchased a side of ranch. (Mind you, the ranch doesnt actually taste like ranch sauce nor should it cost more than $1 as its very small.) The marinara that comes with the breadsticks is truly awful and clearly from a cheap can.Weve been vegan for over 20 years, yet this is truly some of the worst pizza weve ever had. We came here in 2016-2018 a few times when visiting Disneyland since people kept saying how amazing it was, yet we were equally unimpressed then and disappointed with service. Know this restaurant hasnt improved whatsoever.

URBAN PUNJAB The Royal Kitchen

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant, which is one of the best Indian places in the area. The food was authentic, flavorful, and satisfying. As a vegetarian, I was impressed by the variety and quality of the veg dishes. I especially enjoyed the shahi paneer, dal makhni, aloo matar gobhi, and gulab jamun. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. The owner and chef, Harmanpreet, was very friendly and generous. I would give this restaurant a perfect 10/10 rating, which is rare for me. I hope they keep up the good work and the great taste.

Aunt Yeses Home Cooking
12444 Brookhurst St, Garden Grove, CA 92840, United States
After visiting in November 2020 and having such a wonderful experience, I had to come back while in town for a trip to Disneyland. I had the breakfast tacos (Im a vegetarian) and the regular French toast and both are excellent.Their homemade salsa has such great flavor and heat, and I am always appreciative when a restaurant has soyrizo.I am also a French toast over pancakes and waffles person so I think I have pretty high standards and I have dreamed about this French toast since coming here 8 months ago.My family members all ordered different items and arent vegetarians and they all are California natives and they all loved what they ordered so much that they wished we had come for breakfast every day of our trip. But what really keeps bringing me back is the service. The staff is always so friendly and clearly love the food and the place they work, and that can make or break a food experience.I dont want this place to ever go away so its here every time I come back.

Vegan Stops
12563 S Harbor Blvd, Garden Grove, CA 92840, United States
I met Moe and his Vegan Stops at the South Pasadena Farmers Market (Thursdays in the mid afternoon until sundown). I am not even vegan or vegetarian so for many weeks, I passed right by without bothering. However, one day I decided to stop and pick up some babaganoush because I love that stuff and I also love saying babaganoush. Moe let me know I could pick up three dishes for a three dollar savings. Well, I already thought his price without the discount was stellar so I was sold! I tried the cauliflower with tahini, the eggplant with some sauce and I think red bell peppers and the hummus. Moe threw in a few extras for me since I was a first time customer. I am now a regular! What I do is I pick up 4-5 dishes and I eat it throughout the week during work-from-home days. It keeps me in the safe zone and not snacking on junk. The containers are freezer-friendly and also microwave safe. What a bonus! I feel so gut-good after a meal from vegan stops. And what is SO special about Moe in particular is that I lost sight of my young daughter while I was about the market. Moe spotted her and realized she was lost; he walked her to the information booth at the Farmers Market and waited there with her until I found them. WOW!! This is the kind of upstanding man we want in our community. Thank you Moe. And BLESSINGS to YOU!

Taco Bell
10901 Garden Grove Blvd, Garden Grove, CA 92843, United States
Pulled up to the drive-thru to order some new items on the menu. The order was correct on the display menu AND the person helping us did confirm whether or not we ordered the correct item.We got to the window and paid for our food. As we were waiting for our food, we heard the employees talking about the customer behind us. It is very unprofessional to leave rude remarks about other customers...especially about how often they come or what they order. You should be able to joke with the customer, not make jokes about them. For that reason, I refuse to come back to this location.Regarding our personal experience, we got our order and realized they gave us the wrong item and there were no sauce packets. Who eats Taco Bell without hot sauce? As we went back to resolve the issue, the employees were adamant that we were wrong and had ordered the wrong item. They could have just looked at the receipt and conclude that we paid for something else. Employees did immediately give us the correct item. Before leaving, we also asked for our missing sauce packets, but they had asked us if we wanted more of what was previously given. RUDE. I understand you might have a bad day at work, but that is not an excuse. A team effort mess. Thanks. The food tasted like any other Taco Bell so just be aware and have lots of patience when you eat here.

Vietnamese and Korean restaurant with vegetarian and clearly-labeled vegan options. Everything is full of flavor and reasonably priced. The service is great and there’s plenty of seating as well, not to mention, lots of parking.

Taco Bell

This review is not about Taco Bell food its about Taco Bell people.Yesterday, I stopped in to grab some tacos for dinner. I place my order and had my money ready when I got to the drive-up window. I nice young lady told me the price which was lower than the order screen had indicated. When I ask if she had given me the correct amount due, she smiled and said, oh I gave you our senior discount.Yes, my grey hair gave me away!I thought to myself, she didnt have to do...what a nice person. It occurs to me that the owner of that store may have received a little less profit (under $1.00) but they sent off a customer with a very positive feeling. Thats a big payoff in my book.Oh, BTW that nice young lady is Colby D if I read the receipt correctly. I hope they hire more thoughtful people like her.
