Lemonade Restaurant
161 Caruso Ave, Glendale, CA 91210, United States
Lets talk about healthy healthy and healthy. From the second I walked in I fell in love with the white and yellow interior. It has a very fun interior. And the giant glass window with the delicious food behind it made me feel like Im window shopping for something luxurious. They explained to me how there are ready made plates and bowls to choose from, but I can also make my own plate. I decided to go with one of the ready made plates: The Big Chill which includes: 1 choice of Land & Sea, 2 Marketplace Salads and 1 fresh Baked Crips which is cheese dread dried. I choice ahi tuna poke as my choice of Land & Sea along with roasted curry Cauliflower salad and Avocado cherry tomato salad. However, I did have the pleasure of tasting other items such as the seaweed tuna poke, the Brussels spouts, and the pesto pasta salad. They were all out of this world delicious. Then came to fun part: picking out a lemonade!!! *DUHH*I tried a few like the watermelon mint lemonade and strawberry lemonade but my taste buds wanted the cucumber mint lemonade so I picked that. I also got a pistachio giant macaroon to save for later.I partnered up with a fellow Yelper and we got down to business. The ooohs and ahhhs started with each bite. I was in heaven. The poke was so fresh, the avocado cherry Tomato salad was so delicious and light. It was cold so it even tasted better. The curry cauliflower was just exploding with flavor. Everything worked so incredibly well together. And to top it off the Baked Crips gave the whole plate a nice crunch. It was fantastic! Not to forget about the watermelon mint lemonade, it was very refreshing and not too sweet, which is how I like my lemonade.I saved the macaroon for later and I ate it when I got home and to no surprise it was very moist and delicious. Before I left to got to talk to one of the employees, Allie, about the history of Lemonade and how it started. Allie told me that Lemonade started in 2008 and they already have 26 locations in all of California. How incredible is that?! And then she pointed at the side wall which has a map of some of their locations drawn out, labeling the locations with some plates. It was a very cool and creative art piece.P.S. Lemonade provides a 2 hour validation for the Americana parking lot.
Zhengyalov Hatz

Ive been watching this place for a while and wanting to find the time to drop in. Today I got to have the most lovely lunch experience there. Their signature dish is a rolled sandwich of sorts, flat bread with a wonderful concoction of 12 herbs and then rolled up to eat. It is absolutely delicious. Its a hot food they make it on the flat top so the bread is toasty and the herbs warm and aromatic. Its a good size portion and I snarfed mine completely. Although it was enough food, I loved it so much I almost ordered another one so that the taste experience would never end. Along with my sandwich roll I got a pot of thyme and mint tea which is a clear glass pot filled with fresh herbs and boiling water sat over a candle to keep it hot. It is so delicious and aromatic and the perfect compliment to the roll. Im in love and Im going to come many many more times in the future. The service is really quite lovely and fast and everyone was very kind to me and willing to answer my questions. Do yourself a favor and try this place out you will not be sorry! Its nicely decorated, clean and spacious and a very comfortable place to just sit and enjoy a light meal.
Link N Hops
3111 Glendale Blvd #3, Los Angeles, CA 90039, United States
As fate would have it, I’ve now had the chance to visit both Link N Hops locations. (On different days…) We started in Atwater Village in July before a “Poetry Circus” event happening nearby in Griffith Park. As a vegetarian family, to be able to go into a beer and sausage place and have so many options, is quite a coup in the comfort food world for us. They have 4 kinds of vegan sausage available to build sandwiches around, plus a Beyond Burger which doubles as perfect for gluten free people…like my wife.I had the Smoked Apple Sausage with onions, cheddar cheese and sweet peppers. And I added whole grain mustard at the table. This was messy but DELICIOUS.I complemented this with a sour beer from their extensive beer menu. I made a note that thi was from San Diego, but by the time I was ready to write down the actual brewery, I was well into the beer and what I typed made no sense…let’s just say, whatever this sour beer was, it was perfect. I loved it.Actually everything was delicious. (And that’s not just the beer talking…) My wife dd have a Beyond Burger, wrapped in lettuce to complete her gluten-free comfort food fantasy…it was perfectly cooked, pink on the inside, just like they recommend you do.We shared a side of perfectly thick french fries which came with two choices of sauce (we got BBQ and curry ketchup and enjoyed both.)This was the perfect comfort meal. With a location, slightly closer in Sunland Tujunga, we’re getting really close to the “it’s all over” benchmark for when an insanely crave-worthy vegetarian sausage experience starts to drain all the money out of our bank account.Speaking of the Sunland Tujunga location…I was randomly driving home (to Van Nuys) from La Canada Flintridge (Sunland Tujunga…La Canada Flintridge…what is it about these towns along the 210 that need to team up???) hoping to spot something to eat and how delighted I was to find another Link N Hops! I was again coming from a poetry reading (what is it with vegetarian sausage and before or after poetry events???) I again get the Vegan Smoked Apple and fries which was again delicious…I also thought the woman behind the counter was so incredibly friendly and endearing. Besides the fact that I love the food, she made me feel so welcome at the restaurant. What a wonderful beacon of customer service light! We’re just waiting for another Link N Hops to open even closer…maybe just over the mountain in Burbank…then North Hollywood…then Van Nuys…then it will, truly, all be over.

We were the last table to be seated at DTF and got an outdoor seating at this Glendale location. We got straight to ordering because the kitchen was about to close, and were rushed into ordering our cocktails and had to get our second rounds with the first one itself. While it definitely felt rushed, we were looking forward to the food. Our order included String Beans with Garlic, Hot & Sour Soup (Vegetarian), Vegan Spicy Wontons, Noodles with Sesame Sauce, and Vegetable & Mushroom Fried Rice. DTF definitely lived up to its hype of being one of the best Taiwanese restaurants Ive been to. The food was very flavorful, and had many complex notes! The Hot & Sour soup was delicious, and so were the Vegan wantons.Service was rushed, noise levels on the lower end, and food arrived within 10 minutes of ordering. Overall, a very good experience!
Cocina Cilantro
2609, 247 N Brand Blvd, Glendale, CA 91203, United States
We had a decent and quick experience here before heading to a nearby event. Its a small spot...we were the only ones in the restaurant throughout our time there from ordering at the counter through finishing our meal. Its clean and nicely appointed giving a more upscale fast-food vibe to the place. Plus tacos! They have a couple different vegetarian options which are what needed including a vegetarian and a soy chorizo (You can get these variants as burritos too if you want.) Definitely elevated street-taco vibes on both of these which my wife and I shared 2 of each. The vegetarian is listed as having sweet potato as an ingredient, but its actually sweet potato fries...that may actually make them more delicious, but its not quite as healthy as just sweet potato implies in the ingredients list so felt like a not wholly accurate portrayal of what was being ordered. That having been said we enjoyed what we got. As we were the only folks in the restaurant service as quick.Water is given in disposable plastic cups.We might come back if we were in the mood for exactly what we got. Not bad.
La Cabaita
3445 N Verdugo Rd, Glendale, CA 91208, United States
If I could give this place a zero I would as I have never been so astounded by the treatment that my mom, husband and I received on Mother's Day. Walked into La Cabañita at around 4:00 and since there were only 3 of us they do not need reservations so we were told that there would be a 30 minute wait which was not a problem however my mom really wanted to sit in the area above so we waited and got the table she wanted. Our server came to the table and seemed liked he was disinterested, inattentive and no personality literally like he hated his job and us as well. So my husband and I ordered a drink and my mom had tea. It didn't seem that busy but it took a while for him to come back. When he did we decided to order. My mom has terrible crippling hands and asked if she could have a teaspoon and also a side of sour cream to go with her meal. Simple request you would think… I ordered a vegetarian taco and said we would like a side order of guacamole. My husband ordered his meal and the waiter seemed very put out by us. So we waited and waited and finally our meal comes my mom did not get her sour cream or the spoon and my taco was literally a tortilla taken right out of the package and not even heated just raw with a few slices of carrots on top laid out flat and a couple of beans. Then I tried to get out servers attention (by the way his name is Juan) as we found that out from out receipt because I could not get his name when asked. He completely ignored us as he began sweeping the floor with dirt and food right in front of us as if we weren't even there. Still my mom was waiting for the spoon and sour cream and we had no chips at this point. So I decided to go to the bar and ask for a teaspoon and when I came back the waiter saw me and gave me such an attitude like he was really put out by anything I asked for and why did I go get the spoon when he was going to get it. The food was horrible and the service was the worse service anywhere I and my family have ever received. I had to wave him down just to get more chips and another drink and then he didn't bring it until I finally asked again. I noticed he was somewhat more attentive to the party of 4 that was sitting in front of us. This guy Juan should be fired! My poor mom on mother's day no less was very sad about the whole evening. I wished that we had just walked out but we gave the place and him a chance. However we did not tip him! I really would not recommend this place to anyone! The food was terrible, cold and you would probably get better food in a fast food place.
Angel Thai Cuisine
6420 San Fernando Rd, Glendale, CA 91201, United States
I love Thai food and wanted to explore a new place. The reviews for Angel Thai are good, so I felt confident ordering from them. I will say the food was pretty good, everyone liked the flavor, but the price left a bad taste in our mouth.I ordered the combination fried rice, the shrimp pad thai, the yellow curry, and the steak salad. Opted for the contactless COVID-19 delivery, everything went through smooth ordering from the website as a first-time customer I even got a $5 off my order. So far so good!Under the special instructions section on the website ordering page, I asked them to put it on our table set up by the front door. For the delivery guy I left a tip and a note asking him to put the food here. It was delivered and dropped off on time and hot. All right, things are going smooth. We got our order it came with forks napkins a copy of the check some chili sauce and all the items correct.? And this is where my review goes south. The $20 steak salad as shown on pictures was about the size of a $7 salad. I assume the justify the exorbitant price because they use a budget steak (select-cut probably, due to the tough chewy texture and/or cooking technique). My other gripe was the yellow curry not served / delivered with any steamed white rice. I dont know if Im a weirdo or nut job but I like to pour my curry over rice. I assume we all do, so forgive me if this is preposterous or a ridiculous ask. Considering the $14 price tag, you should include a courtesy .50¢ rice for the customer who expects to put his curry over rice. By the time its delivered its already too late. So if you dont know, now you know... buyer!!!
Crispy Crust Pizza - Glendale Blvd
3111 Glendale Blvd #4, Los Angeles, CA 90039, United States
We have been getting pizza from Crispy Crust for years. It really dropped in quality for awhile, but the food quality has improved back to its glory days under new management. A few issues:-Their loyalty program allows you to accrue points towards a reward, where you get $15 off once you accrue enough points for the reward. However, new management has set the minimum order total to $100 to be able to use said reward. This is an egregious minimum amount, were talking like 4-5 large pizzas just to be able to use the loyalty reward. That is a bit of a slap in the face as a loyal customer. We had a $50+ order tonight and could not apply our loyalty points.-After I ordered, I got a call from the restaurant stating that they are all out of pepperoni. How in the world does a pizza place run out of pepperoni? Thats like running out of cheese or tomato sauce. I was offered no refund, just that I could change my toppings entirely. Okay, fine, would have liked a credit or refund, but we changed our order.-Anyone who knows Crispy Crust knows that their ranch is absolute fire. It is so good. I order 3-4 sides of it every time. I ordered 4 with this same order and did not receive any. I called back and they resent the delivery driver who had forgotten them in his car.All in all, the pizza is still good, but the service/loyalty program is lacking. We will continue being loyal customers, but we would like a little something in return. Or a credit on this order, anything at all resembling service recovery.
Ameci Pizza Kitchen
728 S Glendale Ave, Glendale, CA 91205, United States
Better luck at shakeys! The service at this location is horrible.Guy on the phone/register is the worst (seems to be the boss, terrible attitude)There was three guys huddled around the kitchen, two of them were wearing sweatpants so I assume they own the place. All three seem very busy but also the register guy and the cook kept just staring over and over, I was just sitting. When I was given the wrong pizza, I was almost made to feel guilty for not taking it. The words “what's wrong you don't like pineapple” were said. When I finally got my pizza. I had to Remind them my order was incomplete. My wings had been ready for a while just sitting in a plastic container while the correct pizza was being made.Every time I approached the register guy I felt like he was going to scream at me. In the end I didn't feel comfortable eating at this location. It's almost like they didn't want me there. There was a lot of going in and out of the building. But not alot of washing hands after delivering things. Judging by the amount of times they left the building and answered the phone I'm sure to go orders and deliveries are what keeps this place alive. The hospitality is definitely not there.Pizza was okay not worth getting treated like street rat.
Roobics Cafe
325 1/2 N Verdugo Rd, Glendale, CA 91206, United States
Angry and disappointed. I really wanted Mediterranean food.So I order takeout from Roobics Cafe on Verdugo, through GrubHub. Once I get there, I see through the front windows that its a small place, with an ordering counter, a few tables, and the only people there are two men sitting at one of the tables, one with a mask around his neck, one not wearing one at all. If theyre guests who are eating there, okay, thats one thing. But I walk in, and the man not wearing a mask at all looks at me, gets up, picks a mask up OFF OF A NEARBY TABLE WITH TWO OTHER MASKS LAYING ON IT, starts to put it on, and gets back behind the counter. I say, Im here to pick up. He says, Ten minutes. I ask, Was there any safety involved in preparing this food? and he doesnt understand what Im saying.Just then a man (wearing a mask) walks in and asks if I need help. I tell him I was there to pick up, but nobody here was wearing a mask and I ask him if any safety was involved in food preparation. He says its totally safe but if you want to cancel the order- and I say, Yes, lets cancel it.Fortunately, my bank processed a refund claim immediately.I dont care what the stats are regarding foodborne infection or surface contaminants. A business is in no position to take chances with the safety of its staff OR its customers. When you have staff socializing without any precautions and their protective wear thrown on a table for casual use, thats not good enough for a restaurant. And definitely not good enough for someone who knows people who have been infected with, fallen ill with, and actually died from COVID-19.Roobics Cafe. Care about safety? Dont eat there.
