Small but cozy place. Very nice service. Family running business that is in a good location downtown area. We ate here after a hiking route in Moravia Canyon park, so the lunch was delicious.Price is good. However they could do an effort with the cleaning. I am sure it would help to give a better experience to their customers. Because if the people, like me, can see everything dusty and sticky outside, it can make us thing about how it is inside the kitchen. It doesnt give a good image of it.A small but cozy place. A good service. It is a family business with a good location in the center of town. We ate here after hiking through Moravia Canyon Park, so the food was wonderful. It has a good price. However, they could make an effort and keep the site cleaner. It surely helps customers have a more pleasant experience. Because if people, like me, come in and see dust and stickiness in the dining room, it makes you think about what might be in the kitchen. So it doesnt give a good image of the site.
Pieology Pizzeria Monrovia, CA
915 W Huntington Dr, Monrovia, CA 91016, United States
I have been to may different locations and every time I order, I order a gluten free pizza due to celiac. every time I've ever gone they have asked if it is for preference or due to a allergy. Unfortunately for me it is due to allergies. When it is for allergy they are so accommodating. They switch there gloves, they use different containers. They take certain precautions. And most know that ordering out for gluten free is very frustrating and very limited. This time we went to a different location and when ordering I asked for gluten free. The lady didn't ask any questions so I thought I would just mention that it was for a allergy not a preference. The lady looked at me like I was crazy. She told me she did not know what I meant. Only one worker knew about it and only told her just to change her gloves. Didn't seem very happy that I mentioned anything. When she went to change her gloves her and another worker stood there whispering . Needles to say I was so uncomfortable so me and my husband said never mind and walked out. For a company that offers gluten free options this Location does not take very many precautions to help make someone with an allergy feel comfortable. So for someone going there for gluten free options with an allergy I would think twice and find another location other than the Monrovia location.
Ikes Love & Sandwiches

Theres a dueterocanonical text discovered among the Nag Hammadi that recounts Cains story after murdering his brother in 4153 BC. In the scroll, textual critics and Old Testament scholars believe that after marrying, Cain fathered 5- not 4- sons: Enoch, Olad, Lizpha, Fosal, and Matt. While his first four brothers lived recklessly (Enoch was famously canceled for something his great great grandson said about paying revenge back 77x), Matt, an avid chef and bread baker, dedicated his life to the Lord.In 4068 BC, after decades of obsessive craftsmanship and iterative experiments, Matt offered up a burnt offering to surpass all burnt offerings. It was a sandwich the likes of which our young planet had never seen. A sandwich that shook the nations, cured hunger, and brought down heavenly blessings of love and faithfulness to Matts family for a thousand generations. It was the Matt Cain.Matt died seconds later, of course, as creating this sandwich had cost his weathered body everything. However, his magnum opus lives on to this day - a beautiful synthesis of fresh ingredients and warm crusty bread. The Matt Cain is the kind of sandwich that brings tears to your eyes as you find yourself yearning for heaven. The kind of sandwich that evokes nostalgia for a time long since forgotten. A time when you werent procrastinating from your studies while writing a review that nobody would ever read.Tldr: 5/5, will have to try some of the other sandwiches
Taco Bell
733 E Huntington Dr, Monrovia, CA 91016, United States
Taco Bell is a must have for me and an all time favorite, although my girlfriend had never tried it I wanted to give her a great first experience and it was not. I ordered the double Crunchwrap supreme and just asked no lettuce and tomato and if they could substitute extra cheese that I'll pay for and meat, as I saw them charge the extra ammentites I was happy to know they were at least listening, that was until I received my tray and sat down to inspect the food realizing the Crunchwrap only had a soggy tostada inside it with half a scoop of rice and some sour cream, not any beef, not any cheese, and not even filled, looked like somebody sat on the food. So I nicely ask them to please add what I asked for and the lady says because I already touched it they can't add anything and they can't do a refund at the moment because the system has a glitch so I left my food fully untouched and left wasting $17.24. Good thing there is s Taco Bell down the street that actually has some skill and personality

Oto-Oto Izakaya Japonaise

Ive driven by this place so many times, but I hadnt actually considered going inside since I cant eat fish. I actually was brought here by my friend and his wife, who really like this restaurant, after they told me there is much more I can order besides just fish. And they do! Ramen, yakitori, chicken ... so many choices to choose from, and they still offer a lunch price on the weekends.I ordered the Jidori Chicken Karaage set, which was recommended to me by my friend. I really liked the overall dish. It came with small bowls - salad, rice, soup, and some sweet potato strings or something. The chicken wasnt crispy, but fried lightly on the outside while the inside remained juicy and soft. The rice was also cooked well - sushi rice, I believe but it was such a big bowl for maybe five pieces of chicken.I also tried the shrimp tempura, which was fried well but still not to the degree of flakiness that I like in tempura. The yakitori bowl and grilled eggplant looked good and my friends said they usually order the yakitori bowl. I thought it was weird that the eggplant had only 2 pieces, but one was doused in sesame seeds and the other in green onions. For dessert, I tried the watermelon shaved ice. It sounded nice in the description, stating that it was topped off with vanilla ice cream. But they never mentioned that red beans and mochi balls were inside as well. I dont think I would have ordered it had I known that there would be red beans inside, since I am not a fan. Although the ice didnt look very red, it did have enough watermelon taste. It was light and refreshing, but with ice cream, watermelon syrup, mochi, and red bean - too much going on. I would pass on that next time and try another dessert. They have a pretty extensive dessert menu!We came a little after the lunch rush, but not during happy hour. I still thought the service was really lacking. The waitress who attended to our table didnt seem friendly and was quite off-putting.tl;dr - food is pretty good, but the service is subpar. Price is pretty decent if you come during happy hour or lunch. From the other reviews, they have strict rules regarding happy hour food.

I’m not vegetarian or vegan - in fact, the meals bookending this meal were both steak. Having tried a fair number of different imitation meat type foods, this was the most delicious. The spicy chicken sandwich was very tasty, albeit not indistinguishable from the real thing for texture. The fries are also very good. The only disappointment was the ranch and house sauce, which were both completely flavorless and truly bad; these sauce recipes need serious work. The staff was excellent, largely because it was the grand opening. Hopefully this can be kept up as they settle in. The prices are very reasonable and actually in line with fast food competition, true to the original goal. Again, hopefully this is maintained. All around, this is a great new restaurant for Monrovia. Give it a try, regardless of your eating preferences.
KBOP Korean Kitchen

I recently dined at KBOP Korean Kitchen in Monrovia, CA, and had an excellent experience. Unsure of what to order, I sought the cashiers recommendation, and she enthusiastically suggested the Fried Rice Bowl with Beef Bulgogi, which turned out to be a fantastic choice. The restaurants cleanliness and spacious layout caught my attention, making it an ideal spot for group gatherings. Despite the dinner rush, the staff managed to maintain a bustling yet organized atmosphere. The Beef Bulgogi was a true highlight, incredibly flavorful and tender, paired perfectly with the well-cooked rice. Overall, KBOP Korean Kitchen left me thoroughly impressed with its food, atmosphere, and friendly service.

MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes
116 W Foothill Blvd Suite A-7, Monrovia, CA 91016, United States
First time visitor to a Mooyah store, and first time at the one in Monrovia, CA. I met up with the owners, Susan and Tim, but more about that later. My first impression was that the layout for ordering and pick-up was pretty straight forward, akin to the likes of Five Guys, The Habit, and such, but was greeted immediately upon with a friendly Welcome to Mooyahs by Susan. I told her it was my first time and she went on to explain some of the featured and specialty burgers. I ordered the Double Cheeseburger. Now I have to admit that I am a very loyal Inn N Out Burger fan since I was born in CA and have enjoyed them my entire life. So, it takes more than a nice greeting to impress me. Nevertheless, I ordered a double cheese burger and a soft drink and decided to have my meal there rather than to go. I am glad I did for it gave me the opportunity to inform the owners of what a great cheeseburger they have. The burger. Oh, the burger. Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked, and perfect amount. The bun, oh the bun. The bun is number 1 in the Burger business, not because of flavor, but because to held itself together from start to the very last bite. The condiments, lettuce, tomato, and dressing were so perfectly proportioned and balance that it did not detract but fully complimented the burger patties. If this franchise had a drive up window you could pretty much say goodbye to Inn N Out Burger. Bar none, Mooyah is that best burger Ive ever tasted. And that is saying allot.Restrooms were spotless, atmosphere was pleasant, design and decor spot-on, and the owners, and staff were courteous, professional, inviting, and very friendly. I was so happy I decided to stop by and try it out, what the heck. I will definitely be boasting about Mooyah and revisiting Susan and Tim many many times in the future...along with everyone I know. For Mooyah is simply the best burger I have ever had in my entire life and I have eaten thousands of burgers. And sadly, in a way, Inn N Out just got out classed and out tasted by the most fantastic burger on the planet.
