Siam Thai Restaurant
17120 Monterey Hwy, Morgan Hill, CA 95037, United States
Great Thai food in Morgan Hill. Awesome pesco-vegetarian options. It is a small restaurant that is literally in a house but it is great. Service is always great as well as the food.
Vitality Bowls Morgan Hill
1053 Cochrane Rd #180, Morgan Hill, CA 95037, United States
Its important to be present. I struggle to be present because my mind is always thinking about random things, like why is there a foot lotion, hand lotion, and body lotion? Shouldnt it just be one lotion? Eventually are we going to have right foot lotion and left foot lotion? Thoughts like these are why its so difficult for me to be present in the moment. My phone is no help either. It just adds on or encourages my random thoughts. I can mindlessly scroll for hours and occasionally find some mindful content. Instead of letting these random thoughts build up in my mind, I found a way to let them out through these reviews. Now Im part of the large ocean of random thoughts.Anyways, not being present or in the moment isnt that bad all the time. At least it allows me to not deal with or think about all the present problems because Im too focused on random things. Focusing on random things does come with downfalls though, like leaving my phone in the fridge, or looking for my keys while their in my hand, or eating yogurt with a fork. That is exactly what I did when I got the Immunity Bowl from Vitality Bowls. I decided to use a fork instead of a spoon. Id like to think that if my mind was in the present moment, I would have chosen a spoon over a fork. Unfortunately, I was probably having a random thought, like if Middle Eastern is on the map, why isnt there a Middle Western? I should have been focusing on which utensil I should use for yogurt. Anyways, I may have chosen the wrong utensil, but I didnt choose the wrong place to eat. The food was great here!
Mr. Falafel
17455 Monterey Hwy, Morgan Hill, CA 95037, United States
The wife and I tried to eat at Bettos last Saturday night and every table was full and the 2 waiters that were working looked DEEP in the weeds. So we decided to walk to Mr. Falafel and give it a shot. Boy did that turn out to be a good thing. Im not a big falafel guy but I do like Mediterranean food. Theyve got a pretty varied menu but I was looking for something with chicken breast and maybe some lamb. So I ended up getting a combo plate that comes with 2 skewers and asked for one chicken and one lamb. While we were waiting the owner Art asked if we wanted to try their Hummus. Im not really a Hummus guy, (Art said this is because Ive only eaten crappy store-bought Hummus), but the wife is so she tried it and said that it was indeed very good. Al suggested trying their spicy sauce on the chicken so I took a couple of containers of that home.Everything was delicious, even the dressing on the green salad that came with the combo plate. The spicy sauce was quite spicy but very good as well. About the only complaint I had was that the chicken was a bit overcooked. But everything was spiced very well. We will definitely come back to Mr. Falafel.Apparently the family that owns this restaurant also owns Betsys, Ajays and Noahs. Must be nice.
Pieology Pizzeria Cochrane Plaza, Morgan Hill
250 Cochrane Plaza Ste. 100, Morgan Hill, CA 95037, United States
This review is almost 6 years in the making. I moved to Morgan Hill in October of 2018 and have been going to this establishment pretty much since I arrived. Ive had Blaze Pizza, Mod Pizza, and Pieology (I moved up from Orange County so Ive had pretty much the big names when it comes to made-to-order pizza). I want to make it clear that I have no ill intentions towards this location; however, I feel it is my duty to inform others of my bad service Ive received here. My first 4 years, I loved this place. Staff was nice, food was great, no issues. In 2020 I made an order and came to find that the store was closed and I could not receive my order. On Oct 24, 2020, I received an email from Jose from Pieology apologizing for the mishap and promising 4 coupons for free pizzas. I provided my mailing address as he requested; never received the coupons. Fast forward to August 2021. I ordered two pizzas, both vegan, both thick crust. Alejandro took my order over the phone (they seem to often have issues with their online ordering system). When I came home I noticed one of them wasnt thick crusted and made a note to message Pieology the following day as it was late. The following day I messaged Jose and told him a) I never received the coupons and b) that the pizza I ordered was wrong because it didnt have a thick crust. He apologized and said he would send out the coupons, but didn't acknowledge the pizza's lack of thickness. It wasnt until later in the day that I realized, after eating maybe 1/3 of one of the pizza, that the non-thick pizza actually had real sausage and real cheese (I am vegan). I was horrified. I left a message on the Pieology website this time instead of emailing Jose. I went to the store and showed the pizza and the person who helped me just looked at me and said what do you want me to do about it, you ate most of it. I didnt know it wasnt vegan until the next day when I reheated it and it was obviously real cheese and sausage! He wasnt very nice about the ordeal and made me feel like I was trying to pull one on the store....He eventually told me he can give me a free pizza but I had to wait..after waiting 15-20 minutes he told me to write down his name and next time I ordered to give my name and they would make me a free pizza. Look, the point of the matter is, when a mistake is made like this, you need to be more empathetic. Customer service is almost everything. This worker unfortunately was lacking it. Also, imagine if you fed pork accidentally to someone who doesn't eat pork; its the same kind of feeling. I did not enjoy eating pork sausage and real cheese. Long story short, no coupons, I did get my free pizza, but since then I've only ordered one pizza from them and double checked to make sure the ingredients were right. Mod Pizza is friendlier and so far they've missed one of my ingredients on a pizza, but that's not a big deal. At least they didnt feed me real animals.
Taco Bell
17000 Condit Rd, Morgan Hill, CA 95037, United States
This may sound petty, but Im done with ordering (and paying) for extra cheese on my menu item and receiving nothing. I specifically said while ordering can you PLEASE really add extra cheese because it never actually happens. And of course, I get home and theres actually LESS cheese on my little bean burrito than the regular standard bean burrito. 4th time now. This is a particularly bad location to source your Taco Bell cravings. I would suggest driving to the Monterey St. Taco Bell (also in Morgan Hill) because the Condit Rd. location is wildly inconsistent and cant get it right even if you make it a point to ask. Boooo.
Taco Bell

The manager was working the drive thru during the lunch rush and saw that there was a line in the lobby but didnt acknowledge it. He continued to service the dt. When he saw that the line was still there,he yelled at the front counter clerk who had since returned from actually doing her job of cleaning the bathrooms. He then further instructed the food assemblers to keep cranking out orders for the drive thru ahead of the front counter. All customers should matter. Not just the ones on the drive thru. Another thing. They also need to stop deleting orders ahead of completion to make their time spent on preparing them look like its minimal. This is highly unprofessional and leaves them highly susceptible for errors. The service here needs an overhaul. Big time.
PUPUSA LADY FOOD TRUCK

My first time trying pupusas and I'm in love!!! Each dish is packed with so much flavor and you can tell they're made with fresh quality ingredients! The pulled pork on top of the piggy fries was so soft and impeccable! Leila's tostadas are also a must-try here! My favorite pupusa was their jalapeño cheese one!

I recently celebrated a huge milestone in my cancer journey at MOHI Social. I have been beating the odds and survived stage 4 cancer for the last 5 years. I wanted to pay forward my blessings and celebrate my 5th Cancerversary in a meaningful way. I decided to fundraise for a nonprofit cancer organization near and dear to my heart. I wanted a venue that would be as amazing and memorable as overcoming the challenges I have had to face during my battle.I originally wanted to have the party in the outdoor terrace area at MOHI but when I saw the newly opened Champagne Room, there was no way I could settle for anything less! It is jaw dropping in there! I knew the food would be great since I have visited for happy hour and dinner before. But I would have to say their drinks are show-stoppers and so delicious with a fun and upbeat ambience!I am so glad that I chose MOHI! I have to admit it was way over my budget. But if you want a high quality and extravagant experience, this venue will not disappoint. The venue coordinator, Christina was on point at every level with consistent professionalism, responsiveness, and execution. She was kind, patient and genuinely seemed to care about how much the celebration meant to me.The planning went fairly smoothly. Everything is in-house so it's pretty much a one-stop shop. There was only one hiccup. I wanted to have a slideshow and the venue didn't use a compatible program. That was bit stressful because that was really important to me to have for my guests. However, Christina tried her best to work with me to problem solve. The night of the party went off without a hitch. The venue was stunning. The florals were breathtaking. The staff there was exceptional. I was a little worried that I only picked one option for food due to budget restrictions but the guests kept telling me how delicious the Marsala chicken plate was. The drinks and the DJ definitely sealed the deal for party success! My guests are still ranting and raving about being a part of the “best celebration” they've ever been to!

OMG!!! We are SO excited and happy to have a vegan restaurant in Morgan Hill! Finally!!! Thank you, “J”, for being here! We had the Beyond Burger with fries and it was delicious! Nicholas, the bartender, creates amazing, delicious cocktails that are not too sweet and are healthy. The welcoming, family vibe was very inviting and comfortable. We’ve been wanting a vegetarian restaurant here for so long. We’ll be back to try more!
Betsys Restaurant

While the food was pretty good the service was not. This used to be our favorite place to go before quarantine happened and we never had complaints. However our last visit our server who took our order kindly brought over crayons and a notebook four our child to draw on and I graciously thanked her. What happened next rubbed me the wrong way.She reprimanded my 18 MONTH OLD for dropping the crayons on the floor. She then looked at my child in the high chair and said “you only get one now. So sit there and BEHAVE!” I couldn't believe my eyes! My husband said “maybe you should take the rest of the crayons” and she snapped back with an attitude saying “I am! But I want the one she [mother-in-law] has!”First off we don't speak down to anyone in our family especially children. We respect them so that they understand how we should treat everyone even the smallest person. Secondly, he's 18 MONTHS OLD! He's still learning what it's like to be in a restaurant and what his boundaries are! And lastly, she should not be trying to discipline or reprimand ANYONE.If this woman talks to her kids that way then fine, but I'm no way should she have said anything to my child.Betsy's: you're food is decent but we will never dine here again with the attitude your employees have towards small children. Def not a family restaurant.
