Taco Bell
2300 Barrett Ave, Richmond, CA 94804, United States
Everyone here is very friendly especially the guy who greets you with Welcome to paradise. The employees make sure that you ordered everything you need and always ask if you want sauce and if you want something to drink if you didnt order one. The food here is always good. I usually order Quesalupas, Cheesy Gordita Crunch, Steak/Chicken Quesadillas, Quesoritos, and Hard Tacos. These are my top picks. Everything that I order here comes with really fresh lettuce and tomato which is surprising to me because the other Taco Bells that Ive visited dont, so this is a plus. Yesterday I ordered the Quesalupa combo that included a hard taco and a medium drink and the meal was fantastic. The drinks are also better here. The pink lemonade is sweet and sour, which leaves your taste buds wanting more. The other Taco Bells lemonades are watered down. Also, if your craving a vanilla iced coffee than you definitely have to go here. This place serves the best iced coffee. Other places dont put enough vanilla and put too much coffee. I recommend this Taco Bell to everyone who lives in the the Richmond area.
Taqueria La Estrella
323-325 23rd St, Richmond, CA 94804, United States
This is the second time I have ordered from Taqueria La Estrella... and let me tell you, the food is so tasty... my favorite is the tacos al pastor, they are so delicious if you ever go here, what I recommend you order is the tacos al pastor or asada are delicious. Another thing is also that the customer service is incredible. Karina served me, she is so sweet and so attentive to doing everything possible so that I, as her client, am satisfied and happy... thank you Karina, in addition to the fact that the food is so delicious, your customer service is another reason why which I will be as a frequent customer❤️

Had been hearing amazing things about this spot since it opened and finally stopped by for a quick lunch during work!Atmosphere is small and intimate. Decor is clean and simple with lots of green throughout, and menu is easy to read while youre in line.Keep in mind, this is NOT a place to sit down and eat, it is a no frills take out spot, but if you must, theres a communal stand up table. And if youve never been deep in Richmond on Macdonald Ave, just know that it isnt in the safest neighborhood. Street parking can also be tough. Now the FOOD, what we are ALL here for. So far I have only had the Kalbi (kbbq beef shortribs) sandwich and rice plate. UNBELIEVABLE. The sandwich is on an Acme roll, but what was amazing about it was the apple arugula salad and the creamy (mayo based?) sauce in the sandwich. Usually, Kalbi is pretty heavy, but this was a refreshing twist that was more balanced with each bite.I must say though, everyone comes here for the Marys fried chicken, there most popular item. Everyone I know who has had it has raved about it... so if you are lucky enough to make it here during their minimal hours AND it is not sold out, PLEASE go for it.Anyways, I will definitely be back. For the fried chicken. And the scallops. And back again for the Kalbi.
Lidias Restaurant
338 Nevin Ave, Richmond, CA 94801, United States
Wanted to love this place. Its the old home of the legendary La Perla after all. There was only a couple of people dining in and the owner was at the cash register. He couldnt have been nicer. I asked about the old steam table operation that had been there forever and he said something about the old owners took it and he wasnt allowed to have one. I didnt pursue it. I ordered a carnitas burrito as that was as close to the old pork burrito that la Perla used to make, which was just lettuce, cheese, salsa and lots and lots of delicious stringy pork in thick sauce. Fantastic! I went outside to take a couple pictures and the owner actually brought it out to me. Fresh warm chips in the bag, a red and a green sauce in little plastic cups, the burrito was hot and professionally wrapped tightly in foil and was fat and heavy. I was so ready. I quickly torn off the top of the foil and had at it. It was...just alright. I was probably expecting way to much, but it was just kinda like every other regular burrito, nothing special. I really like the people working there and I will go back, but the magic just wasnt there.
Richmond Kebab & Gyros
15501 San Pablo Ave Ste J, Richmond, CA 94806, United States
Surprisingly, REALLY GOOD. The chicken was tender and juicy, the falafel flavorful and NOT dry-this restaurant can make falafel taste good so it won our hearts! The hot sauce was also a huge hit, weve havent had hot sauce like that and used left overs for other meals. The hot sauce was amazing--if you like heat, get this---they should sell bottles. The quality seemed to be all fresh produce/meats and everything was well priced. My family and I are food snobs--we like to cook, eat and know good food--and were all very impressed with this place. FINALLY A *GOOD* HALAL AUTHENTIC place in Richmond area, without having to drive to Fremont. The owner was also very friendly and provided great customer service. A+ to this place. Dont judge the outside or name (could be a bit more creative but hey, its a start! ;p) But give it a shot. High hopes for this place to bloom inshallah. We will be providing more business here~highly recommend to stop by!
Catahoula Coffee Co
12472 San Pablo Ave, Richmond, CA 94805, United States
EDIT 6/26/24:As a frequent customer of this establishment for over 10 years, it saddens me when a bad experience taints my perspective on them. My partner and I have always bought pound coffee bags from Catahoula and today was no different. In all my years of going there, we were always offered a free cup of coffee with each bag of coffee purchased. It's actually one of the main incentives of going there rather than buying online or from a third party. For some reason today the cashier not only declined to offer me my free cup of coffee but also gave me attitude about asking for the second one (my partner was waiting in the car btw). I told her we've always been given two cups and I was under the impression that it was a cup of coffee per bag bought. She said that the other cashiers shouldn't have done that. I'm sorry but I've never seen this woman before and suddenly she has the audacity to say that everyone else in my decade of patronage has been wrong? Well I guess I don't see a point to making the special trip here if the experience is so unpleasant.Been going to Catahoula for years, I always recommend their coffee to friends too. Highly recommend Lola or Butkus blends!

SUPPORT FAMILY OWNED LOCAL BUSINESSES!Wanted to try someplace other than my go to's and stumbled on this gem.Ordering is easy. They have menus on the wall, tv, and a classic menu. We ordered the quesabirria and a veggie burrito. Very fast service. From order to take out, I was gone in less than 15 minutes. For the vegetarians, the rice is made with chicken broth, the beans are vegetarian.Made with fresh ingredients, I even had cucumber in my burrito which added a mind blowing crunch to it.Dine in or take out, cash or card, parking lot, serves breakfast too.
RICHMOND PIZZA HOUSE
12343 San Pablo Ave, Richmond, CA 94805, United States
Richmond Pizza House. A local business just getting started, with skills in the kitchen. The menu: Lots of options in size, crusts, toppings, gluten free available. Many alternatives to the traditional pizza, including wings, shwarma, calzones. A lot of typos, and the word cheese randomly inserted into strange locations. One of the lunch specials has been removed, because they arent doing by the slice for now at least. Typical first batch printing errors. The facility: casual atmosphere, clean, what you would expect from a mom and pop business. There are a few tables, seating for about 20-30 people. Decor is minimalist, and in theme with a pizza place. The order: XL Chicken Parm and Spinach with a stuffed sesame crust, 8 piece mild wings.Placed my order as a walk in, my first visit to the place. The staff was friendly and willing to answer my questions. Neither the cashier nor the menu disclosed that stuffed crust is an upcharge, but I had expected it to be, because, well, cheese. The Food: Chicken Parm and Spinach; the crust was fully cooked, yet pliable, which given the generous amount of fresh spinach on the pie, I found impressive. Great flavor from both the sesame and the cheese in the crust edge. The chicken was juicy, and the pie was not oversauced. The roasted garlic gave wonderful flavor, along with the smokiness of the bacon. If I ordered again I think mushrooms would be a welcome addition to this pie.Mild wings; These at first glance appeared unsauced, but had obviously been seasoned and marinated prior to frying. The wings were nice and crispy, with a lightly vinegary flavor and just enough heat to let you know that it was a proper wing. The drummettes were likewise flavorful, if a bit fatty. The bleu cheese dressing for dipping seems house made, with nice chunks of real bleu cheese (I neglected to ask). The bottom line: If you like a decent pizza, made with fresh ingredients, this is a good destination. If you like to support local businesses, this is the place for you. I personally am looking forward to my next visit, and hope to see you there.
Cafe McBryde
4925 McBryde Ave, Richmond, CA 94805, United States
Ill start on a positive note. The pancakes were the Bomb. Perfectly cooked. Really good quality bacon. Now for not so positive. I ordered a shortstack, eggs and bacon. My husband order 2 Egger w/grits and bacon and a side waffle. This took 45 minutes to be served. Im not sure if it was just a bad day, the cooked called off, but what ever happened, I was truly disappointed that although the wait staff appeared quite friendly, No one came to apologize for the delay. Only just before serving were we alerted that our food was on its way. This was our first visit. My husband wanted grits for breakfast. I googled where to get grits near by, this place popped up. We decided to give it a try. Examining the menu grits arent listed. I inquired with the wait staff and was told grits were available. I wish I had not, hubby was so disappointed. I tasted the grits and they tasted microwaved, and not thoroughly cooked. If its not what you do, dont do it. There was also some kind of hostile verbal exchange between employees in the kitchen that was quite noticeable to the patrons. A young woman I presume was in charged asked everyone to stop and take a deep breath, which seemed to regain some order. Im torn because those pancakes were DELICIOUS, but the wait and negative experience, Not sure if its worth it. Hence the 2 Stars.
Brezo
1414 Harbour Way S, Richmond, CA 94804, United States
Had brunch with my wife here because they just opened up in Albany. We shared the scone, I ordered the Chilaquiles and my wife ordered the breakfast sopes.Everything was delicious and food came out in good timing. The staff was also attentive and gave us space to eat and chat.Would come here again! We also ordered the Tri Tip Sandwich and the Chicken Gordita to-go. Also super tasty! Really though, try this place out yourself!Update: Feb 11, 2024Went back for lunch with my wife to try different items on the brunch menu. Wife got the Mt.Tam Potatoes, I got the banana French toast (both served in a generous serving size). We couldnt help ourselves so we got a scone to share, a blueberry pancake and a banana pancake with fried chicken on the side.Everything came out timely and tasted amazing. Consistency is something we feel demonstrates whether a restaurant has their stuff down or not. Second time ordering the scone was not a disappointment. The service was also consistent, they were readily available but we didnt feel rushed. We will continue coming here!
