Green Lotus Restaurant
1143 Story Rd #180, San Jose, CA 95122, United States
My favorite vegetarian place in San Jose area. The Com Chien Ca Man was simply delicious. I enjoy it even more any other regular (with meat) fried rices that I had tried at a restaurant. Bun Hue was also awesome. The young staff there are helpful and friendly.

Tofoo Com Chay Vegetarian Cuisine
388 E Santa Clara St, San Jose, CA 95113, United States
This is a tiny hole in the wall place. It was a cold and windy day so I was craving for something hot (noodle soup) and spicy is even better. Decided to try this place out since it was a late lunch (around 2pm).This is in downtown San Jose so no parking. Paid street parking only so take that into consideration your time of arrival. The shop has about 2-3 tiny tables (seat 1 each side but youre pushing it for 2) as its extremely cramp.Originally, I wanted to order just the spring rolls and spicy Hue noodle soup. I ended up ordering probably a weeks worth of take-out. In addition to the 2 items above, instead of the steam rice + entrée combo from the hot bar, I bought the entrée individually. Small round container is $6.00, large is $8.50 (I think)?.I got the braised lemongrass tofu, braised pickled Chinese mustard & tofu (this can be very spicy level) for the average person and lastly fried wonton (but they look and tasted more like goyza. This is a no frill, no thrill, tasty yet homey take-out vegetarian Vietnamese cuisine restaurant. Another vegetarian/vegan option for plant based dinners.

Vegetarian House - Vegan
520 E Santa Clara St, San Jose, CA 95112, United States
I recently tried Vegetarian House in San Jose, California and it was an absolute delight! As a vegan, I was excited to find a fully plant-based restaurant in the area and Vegetarian House definitely exceeded my expectations. We ordered the dumplings and spring rolls, and they were both amazing - perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The quality of the ingredients really shone through in every bite. But what made the experience even more special was the owners warm and friendly demeanor. Despite being a takeout order, the owner took the time to chat with us and make sure we were happy with our meal. It was a small gesture, but it made a big difference in our overall experience. And when we said goodbye, he even bowed respectfully - it was a very authentic touch that made us feel valued as customers.Overall, I highly recommend Vegetarian House for anyone looking for delicious, authentic vegan food in San Jose. The food is top-notch, the owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, and the whole experience was just wonderful. I cant wait to go back and try more of their menu!

Golden Bamboo Vegetarian Restaurant
3245 S White Rd, San Jose, CA 95148, United States
One pf my favorite vegetarian restaurants in san jose. My wife and I go at least once if not twice a month, the prices are good and the portions are good as well. We love the abundance of plants everywhere. Staff is super friendly and fast. The teas are also delicious .you can dine in, Take it to go, and/or order by phone and get catering size platters. My meat loving family was blown away when I told them it’s vegetarian. They have all the traditional Chinese food and no meat but you don’t even notice it’s meatless.

DiLac Vegetarian Cuisine
2850 Quimby Rd #125, San Jose, CA 95148, United States
Im a vegetarian and I was visiting San Jose in this area when I saw this restaurant. I was excited because I love vegetarian Asian cuisine. I read some reviews and decided to check it out. I was confused when I arrived because I didnt realize there was also a buffet and after an awkward few minutes I was seated. I really wish that the menu had better descriptions of each dish. I ordered spring rolls and the duck with steamed buns. A few minutes later the waiter returned saying that there were no spring rolls so I decided to try another entrée, veggie fish with ginger sauce. The duck arrived quickly but was literally just a slab of deep fried mock duck surrounded by flat, white, steamed buns(see attached picture) It was so greasy and the accompanying sauce tasted fresh out of a can. I tried not to feel too disheartened and decided to hold judgment until the fish came.. maybe I just ordered poorly. The fish arrived on its sad, wilted bed of lettuce decorated with old cucumber and a bowl of cold, watery ginger sauce. Besides the depressing presentation the fish was burnt and extremely greasy. I then asked for a side of some steamed broccoli to try to balance out this unhealthy and underwhelming meal. The broccoli was great, though the portion was a little small (four small flowerets) I scanned the menu again looking for some sort of soup savior but then decided against it since my bill was already a whopping $24. I havent been this depressed about a meal ever. I thanked them, tipped my waiter and got the hell out of there feeling sorry for my wallet. Dine at your own risk.

Suggi Oota Take-Out

Suggi Oota changed my perspective on food. As a non-vegetarian, their meals made me appreciate vegetarian cuisine so much that I even started avoiding non-vegetarian restaurants.

Sogo Tofu
Saratoga Plaza Shopping Center, 1610 S De Anza Blvd, San Jose, CA 95129, United States
Poor service:1. I took two things to the counter but I was still hesitating to add something. When I checked out, the person didn't ask me if it was that everything. He hurriedly said please check out. The point is that there was only one other customer in the store. Brother, who are you? What are you anxious about?2. I used the amex card to pay. When he saw it later, he immediately reached out his hand and tried to stop the card from being swiped through. After swiping the card, he let out a big sigh and then told me very unhappily, please don't use the American Express card to pay next time. When I asked him why, he said, “Because the handling fee is very expensive and not worth it, don't swipe. Thank you for your cooperation.” Then why don't you disable it, brother? This option of American Express is good, but you still want to stop me from using it? What does it have to do with me if the handling fee is expensive? You have opened a store for 20 years and still care about these few cents. I am really convinced. This attitude is so disgusting. The food tastes bad:The rice balls are just like that, not as delicious as the Xiaoman rice balls.Don't sell the bowl cakes. I've never tasted them so bad. They're even a little watery. The spicy sauce is also bad. Was it made with Sriracha? If you want to do business, be sincere, okay?
