Sunflower Caff
421 1st St W, Sonoma, CA 95476, United States
They add a mandatory 20% (corrected: 15%) service fee even though its order at the counter and there is no waited table service. You would have to ask for the manager if you dont want to pay this fee, which would be very awkward in front of a long line of people. Theyll give you a number and drop the food off at your table, but youre otherwise on your own.I had a small breakfast sandwich, with no meat and no sides, and 1 drink, and this costed $28. Food was tasty, but I cannot give a wholehearted recommendation due to overpriced menu and the service fee. If youre going to charge a % based fee on everything, you should just factor that into the pricing. Tipping fees should not be mandatory when there is no table service.Edit: Sunflower has offered a strange response. First of all, I disagree entirely with their claim that a tip is for the overall “ambiance” of the experience. A tip is for attentive table service by a waiter, otherwise we would be tipping at every counter service joint, coffee shop, and grocery store. It's also entirely normal for waiters in traditional restaurants to “tip out” to the dishwashers and hosts, so that doesn't explain their fee. No one gets super low tipped wages in CA; minimum wage applies to everyone. Even in types of restaurants where it is normal to tip, it's not normal for them to decide the tip % for you in a party smaller than 6. They should pay their employees a livable wage without making it a “fee” for the customer — paying employees a livable wage is the business owner's responsibility, not the customers'.As a rule, I will always leave a critical review when businesses that don't offer table service require tips. The service we received is not worth a 15% tip — that's what a waiter gets for taking orders at the table, connecting with their diners, and taking care of the table's every need for the entire duration of a meal. Maybe 5%-10% could be appropriate, but I see no reason why this shouldn't just be factored into the price.

Taco Bell
19025 Sonoma Hwy, Sonoma, CA 95476, United States
Taco bell is the best fast food place in Sonoma valley. The staff is charming and wonderfully polite and the food is the most nutritious and affordable as well. If you are a senior you can get a drink for one cent! The dining area is always spic and span. Its a just a great atmosphere in there....a totally feel good dining experience. Thank you Taco Bell.....UPDATE...Our good friend Danielle from Whole Foods Market used to manage so we quit going there...but the funny thing was is that we were subjected to VOICES the would have appeared to be schizophrenia and wr had just figured that we must have been USING to much of the Holy smoke....but we were probably just being electronically targeted by the microwavers sayin hello to Bear snd subjecting DaDa to damaging editorials and commentary to affect him psychologically. Another of the long list of drone attacks that plagued DaDa and his Bear as the Dark side tried to sell him a boxed meal full of fantasy that crystal methaphetamine was really the cause of growing crazy.....a fallacy that the Bear had often told DaDa was a pack of lies.

Better Chew Kitchen - Vallejo
1745 Sonoma Blvd, Vallejo, CA 94590, United States
First time visitors. The French fries are delicious. The staff, engaging. Hence the two stars. We went April 25th.We both ordered the cheesesteak, on recommendation. Friend had regular, I had the premium cut one. The cheesesteaks were BIG(I only finished about a third of mine, friend finshed half). Full of meat, flavorful. Especially since its vegan. The problem came about 15 mins after I started eating. Worst bloat ever. Stomach felt full of Bubbly rocks. About an hour after that.. Dumping Syndrome (the Bubble guts, but from both ends! Simultaneously!) I stayed on the toilet with a plastic bag, throughout the night, into the next day. Now, HERE is why the get two stars. The fries SAVED them from ZERO. I could NEVER reach anyone by phone to ask what they fabricate their meat from. No answer. No RING. Straight to the person you have called... Im NOT driving back across the bridge ($7), JUST to find out what it was that made me SICK like that. I really wanted to be able to support. Oh well

Papa Murphys Take N Bake Pizza
678 W Napa St, Sonoma, CA 95476, United States
Very nice helpful employees, kind of. The girl got our order wrong .gave us the wrong pizza and then took it back.amd then owed us a credit. Caused me stress die to covid. The less interacting the better and now here I needed to pull my card out again. Not to mention the pizza we already touched that she took back. Hope she is not going to sell the pizza the three of us have now all touched. Also sister I was there with does. Ot have covid but does have a bad flu so now the flu has been transferred to that pizza wrap to the employee who wasnt wearing gloves to the counter she placed it on then to the 2nd employee who picked the pizza up off the counter who then put it on a tray and then we watched them grab that pizza and hand it to the other man in the store. It must have been his pizza all along. And that my friends is a prime example of how the covid virus is being spread. I just had covid 3 times since the beginning of the year. This location is most defintly not following covid precautions! Order online if u must or wear gloves to be easily discarded. Watching germs being spread so easily right in front of my face showed me the lack of importance our safety is to people and businesses.

Spread Kitchen, Sonoma
18375 CA-12, Sonoma, CA 95476, United States
Spread Kitchen is a Lebanese/Mediterranean oasis nestled slightly north of Sonoma proper and let me tell you, its the kind of place that makes you want to do a happy dance. With seating areas so cozy, you may have to make friends with your neighbor whether you planned to or not! But fear not, because their adorable outside seating area is the perfect spot to enjoy the sunshine while savoring a feast fit for the gods. Now, lets talk about the food. The baba ghanoush is like a flavor explosion in your mouth - its so fantastic that youll want to write it a love song. And get this, many of their dishes are sharing size, so be prepared to engage in some serious negotiations with your dining companions over who gets the last bite of that heavenly hummus.Whats more, the owner is as hands-on as it gets, and super friendly to boot. Theyre like the culinary conductor of a delicious symphony, making sure every dish hits the right notes and leaving you feeling like part of the family.Just keep in mind, the seating indoors is not expansive, so be prepared to cozy up with your fellow diners. But hey, thats all part of the charm, right? So, if youre in the mood for a side of humor with your hummus and a dash of charisma with your mezze, head on over to Spread Kitchen. Its a small slice of Mediterranean paradise right near our charming city, and you wont want to miss it!

Thai Place

I literally cannot recommend this place more highly!! Seriously, YOU HAVE TO GO!! The food is absolutely delicious, with big portions and very customizable with spice, protein, and egg in the dishes. Their vegan and vegetarian options are amazing and they have a big variety of options for everyone. The people who run this restaurant are truly the kindest I have met. I have ordered out and eaten in many times now and have never had a bad experience. The vibes are impeccable and the restaurant is clean and well kept. There is clearly pride taken in what they do. I recommend this restaurant with my whole heart to anyone who will listen. Please go support these amazing people!!!

Mayo Family Winery Reserve Room
9200 Sonoma Hwy, Kenwood, CA 95452, United States
This review is long overdue - Chef John really rolled out the red carpet for me and my fiancé to celebrate our engagement! When I initially inquired about reservations at the Reserve room on labor day, I was concerned that due to it being a holiday they would be closing early. However, Chef John generously stayed open for a late lunch to accommodate our schedule (we were driving in from out of town and unable to make the earlier time slots advertised).Boy am I glad I asked! The food was exceptional and both my fiancé and I agreed on par with what we had enjoyed for dinner at a Michelin starred restaurant just a few days prior, and at a quarter the price! The service was phenomenal, and the 7 dishes we tried each were paired with perfect wine pairings!Chef John even inquired about my fiancés favorite type of wine when I made the reservation, and had brought over Riesling from the winery even though it was not on the pairing menu. (The winery is at a separate location a few miles away, so this had to be done in advance and was so incredibly thoughtful.) The next time we visit Sonoma, we will definitely be enjoying another lunch at the Mayo Reserve Room!

Kivelstadt Cellars & WineGarden
22900 Broadway, Sonoma, CA 95476, United States
My mouth is watering just thinking about my visit this past weekend to Kivelstadt. This is a must stop when you're in Sonoma, even worth making a trip just for this spot. Only took about an hour driving up from San Francisco midday on a Friday. We did the KC Labs and Off the Beaten Path tastings and loved the variety. Gravignon Blanc and the Native Son were some of our favorites. The food is amazing, you have to get the Glazed Pork Belly. The pork is cooked to tender perfection and pairs deliciously with the mushrooms. The aguachile is a bit more like a crudo and was perfect for the hot sonoma weather in September. We spent a few hours here in their comfortable outdoor seating and left with a few bottles. The wine club benefits are definitely worth it, with free tastings and generous discounts on bottles. The service was great, sharing just enough about the wines but also giving us space to taste slowly and enjoy the warm weather.Looking forward to my next visit to Kivelstadt - I'm telling my friends we're coming every weekend now ?Update 10/8:As promised, came back for another tasting. Tori guided us through the wines again. She is the absolute best. Let us take the tasting at our own pace and answered any questions we had. Even provided suggestions for other wineries to check out in the area.We had the aguachile again and loved it. Had the elote for the first time and it was great as well. You really can't go wrong with any of the food here. The panna cotta was the star though, love that it's seasonal. Can't wait for our next visit ?
