Papa Murphys Take N Bake Pizza
1281 Sanguinetti Rd, Sonora, CA 95370, United States
I ordered online, specifically choose a Cowboy, then added extra pepperoni, green onions, white sauce and chopped garlic. What I received is a white sauce, single pepperoni and green onions, absolutely nothing else. When my wife calls to complain, she is told that the person making the order didnt see the rest. So I go down personally, and take the messed up pizza with me, and show the exact order as confirmed to me both online and in an email confirmation, both of which list EVERY item to be on the pizza, and the supposed manager makes an excuse that the person making it didnt see the order as a Cowboy, but only saw the add-ons (major attitude as well), and shows me the order tag that they printed, which PLAINLY says COWBOY and goes on to list the added ingredients. So, I ask is the person not able to read? And then I get accused of being rude and degrading.....

Mandys Breakfast House

Worst dining experience ever. We placed our order. When our food arrived everyone got what they ordered except one. The plate was supposed to be a mushroom Swiss burger with bacon. What he tried to serve was a burger with garlic Swiss and bacon. I politely explained that is not what I ordered. His response was they were out of mushrooms. I asked for a bacon Swiss burger with no garlic. After 15 minutes waiting patiently the server returned apologetic about the wait. I asked why was it taking so long to get. His response was I had to wait for all the rest of the orders to be cooked before they could make mine they could not expedite it to the front after they messed up my order from the get go. My girlfriend gave me half her French dip. That had no flavor at all. Reminded me of bad hospital food. Finally once everyone at our table finished their food the server returned with a a plate of food that was completely wrong again. The hamburger had American cheese not Swiss. At that point I refused the wrong order a second time and left the restaurant quietly. When the rest of my party met me outside they informed me that I was not welcome back. As if I would waist my time with terrible food that I would not feed to my dog. I would never expose my friends or family to such a incompetent wait and kitchen staff.

I didnt make a post about it before because i thought it was a one time thing, i gave almost a year to give this place another chance just to be called and told they would not serve me because i got food poisoning from their restaurant and i called to tell them i did, to let them know, and they told me they were sorry and to call in to order from now on. Well tried ordering today and as we were about to leave i received a phone call of them cancelling my order and telling me they take food poisoning very seriously here which is why they will no longer be serving me. Just doesnt really make sense but ok. They did refund me but we never diacussed me never ordering from there again, me and my husband both got food poisoning i would never lie about this it is a serious thing which is why i brought it to the restaurants attention in the first place. clearly nothing has changed nor were they gonna change anything to begin with which is why they fired me as a client. Your waitress even said that another client complained about the mushrooms tasting funky and agreed that it could be that. Be Better. Be Healthy. Do Better.
Mikes Pizza of Sonora
14721 Mono Way, Sonora, CA 95370, United States
I have never had a five star piazza before. A few 4.8s.First the facility. The place was dirty. Do they wait until the last customer leaves to bust or clean a table ?We had to find a table that wasnt dirty or had been used, and that one had what looked like all the remains under the table from the lunch on until we sat down at 7:15pm On a scale of 1-5, I would give it a 2.Staff friendliness and Customer service. I would give it a 1.5. Youre on your own folks. Walk up place your order. Dont ask any questions. They cant cant/wont answer it. Might as well be ordering your pizza online, and driving to pick it up.You order, pay, sit down. Then wait for someone to walk through the place calling your name when its done. Our pizza was dropped off at out table without a smile, thank you, or asking if there is anything else you need.Tried to ask her a question. She just walked away.Believe me. I stand out in a room and can get anybodys attention. On to the pizza. Our wait time was accurate. And the pizza was better than ok. A solid 3 on the 1-5 scale.Ordered a 1/2 Combo and 1/2 Hawaiian. A medium crust that was cooked right and not a bit soggy. Good job.I read reviews about Not skimping on toppings. Claiming they used abundant toppings??The toppings are medium. All in all solid 3 on the pizza scale.I will be reviewing other pizza establishments in the months to come in the Sonora area.
Pablitos Burrito Express
1155 Mono Way, Sonora, CA 95370, United States
My first bad experience here. My food wasnt fully wrapped up and I mean not enough foil was used. Half of it was luke warm at best and the tortilla was cold. Also there was lettuce in my burrito which it doesnt come with. So I called just to let them know about the mess up and they got defensive and you can tell she was insinuating it was my fault. I literally live 2 mins 3 max from them. I just wanted to let them know about it for good customer feedback, now Ill never eat there again!
Outpost
20661 Soulsbyville Rd, Sonora, CA 95370, United States
Ive kept my burger snob attitude because unless theres something special about it, to me its just another regular burger. On our way to Pinecrest CA, we stopped by the Outpost, a gas station mini Mart with a small restaurant serving appetizers, breakfast, and lunch menu items. We were looking for a quick bite en route to our final destination. What seemingly a step above fast food joint, located at a gas station mini Mart, we werent expecting food that will blow us away. I ordered the Outpost burger. It came with a perfectly cooked fresh patty, with white cheddar, grilled onions and chopped chiles. I also added onion rings on the side. My wife ordered the Tri-Tip sandwich with fries that was neither wedge, chip or string. Her sandwich came with an au-jus dipping sauce too. Both our sandwiches were cradled with homemade, baked on site bread rolls that was perfectly toasted. Needless to say, our meal was very good. We both believe it was the bread that made our sandwiches extra special tasting. Service was fast and friendly. Judging from the constant stream of customers and the repeated ring of the register, their business is hopping patronized by locals and travelers. The Outpost earned my highest praise. I highly recommend this stop over spot. We will certainly visit again next time we are heading towards Pinecrest through Soulsbyville.
Taco Shop El Rey
14301 Mono Way, Sonora, CA 95370, United States
I found this place by accident over a year ago. I had gone to the Habitat for Humanity and was starving. This place is a little hole-in-the-wall joint right next door. What a find! Sometimes theres a wait for your food. To me, thats a good sign. Theyre busy. I usually call ahead now and add an extra 5 minutes to the given estimate and even still may have to wait a few minutes. IT IS THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN SONORA...hands down. You get a lot of food. I always have leftovers. The prices are very reasonable considering how popular the place is, how good the food is and how much food you get. Their menu has something for everyone, even the kids. Breakfast is all day. My favorites are #6 Combo, #12 Combo and #6 Special. Oh, but the tortas are incredible to! And the nachos! Ugh... This really is the best place around for Mexican food. Im from San Jose and married to a Mexican. He wont eat at any other Mexican place in the area. Give it a shot. You wont be disappointed.
Pinocchios

After looking at all the reviews here, on Yelp, and hearing others opinions, Im truly disappointed. I ordered the spaghetti bolognese and the menu reads essentially as, 50 years have gone into perfecting this recipe. When I see a sentence like this, I expect something that is pretty special. When I got it, the sauce was watery, there was almost no body to it, the meat that was there was bland, the tomato sauce itself had no acidity to it and also was bland, and the spaghetti was way past al dente. The garlic bread I got was semistale, with no real taste to it either. My wife got a salad, and vege sandwich. The lettuce was rubbery, cucumbers tasted off, the garbanzo beans were incredibly hard, and even the ranch itself tasted like it was about to expire. When my wife got the sandwich, it was basically the salad in sandwich form. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day, but I cant really find too much good to say about it except my daughter enjoyed her fettuccine alfredo, which was why it got 2 vs 1 star.
