India Restaurant La Habra
1920 W Whittier Blvd, La Habra, CA 90631, United States
Ive ordered from India Restaurant La Habra twice so far: once shortly after it opened and another on a Sunday evening. Both times were for take out. I got the Tarka Dal and Garlic Naan the first time and got the Bhindi Masala, Tarka Dal and Garlic Naan the second time. Its all so delicious and filling!! The vegetable curries I get come with rice and the portions are pretty large so there is definitely enough for sharing. I love okra so the bhindi Masala is sooooo good and it has a touch of sweetness from the caramelized onions. And I love love love garlic Naan. I would eat a meal just of Naan if it wouldnt all go to my a$$. Im a vegetarian so you can easily find vegetarian curries and if youre vegan, there are some dishes noted that could be made vegan on the menu. If you are vegan, just be aware that some veg curries can have dairy and/or ghee. I will definitely continue to order here and Im so happy to have a delicious Indian place close to home! My ONLY critique is that, like other Indian restaurants, I wish this one would offer smaller portions of curries for cheaper in order to buy more than one to make like your own thali essentially. However, if you are buying as a group the portions here are perfect for that.
Taco Bell

Its a shame how the quality of the food has really diminished here. This used to be a good place, but already 3 times Ive come, the food just isnt made right, wrong food is made and some doesnt even look appealing to eat. The cooks making the food seem like they dont like their job or dont wanna do the work, all the sauces are on one side only, the salad on the other end and very little meat. If I get a chalupa or a gordita, Id like everything spread across, not in piles on each end of it and more than 6 pieces of chicken or steak would be nice too. I remember it was all a steady measurement for each thing and was supposed to be spread across, not just clumped in. I may just go to a further one instead, no wonder this one is about 80% of the time empty.

This is not the first time I get horrible customer service here. The first time I asked the guy for a frito burrito and quickly asked if that was the hot cheetos one, he said no (he had an attitude problem while telling me no) it was the regular one and charged my card I told him well I wanted the hot cheetos one but its ok since he had already charged it. I wasnt going to flip out over it so I left it alone. Well I go in today and Im seeing what I want to order while my bf is doing the same. so after a few min we are ready and are waiting for someone to attend us(there was like 5 employees there,2 of them were close to us ) but no one came to take our order. One of the guys was cleaning the trays and just gave us a blank stare like if he was high and couldnt comprehend what was happening so me and my bf are just looking around to see if anyone else is going to take our order but no one comes up, so we just decided to leave since I guess no one wanted to take the order. The manager should have stepped in and told someone to take our order since she was there and saw us but I guess it wasnt a big deal to her. I personally feel like they dont care about their customers since Ive seen some employees in the pass be rude to other customers too. I definitely wont be coming back.

Came today to buy 12 tacos and didn't have enough to pay for my order. the manager of this Taco Bell decided that just because she thought my debit card was a gift card, that she wasn't going to refund my money. What? You can't refund me because you think my card is a gift card... (and this is the manager we are talking about) she refused to give me my money back. I told her that I wasn't going to leave without my money all because she can't figure out how to refund me. I've worked in restruants and retail and have never heard of a register unable to process refunds over a negative transaction. Which means this manager was accusing me of ether fraud or she didn't know what she was doing. After an hour of explaining to her that 1. It wasn't a gift card 2. She can't expect me to leave without ether $12 worth of food or my refund and 3. She simply can't make up policies that don't make sense just to get customers to give up. An employee from the back come to translate to the manager who I guess wasn't understanding English that whole time, and explain to her that she can't keep our money if they are not going to serve us. Finally she understood and refunded us.Now I'm here as a customer looking at manager who should know about return policies, trying to convince me that I can not get my refund because I don't have enough to pay for my order... why are companies hiring managers who not only don't know what their doing but try to convince their customers that they are the ones at wrong? Never coming back and telling everyone not to come here because they might leave without their money and their order.

INGREDIENT CUTBACKS (STINGY)Recent change in management and/or policy means severely limited amounts of toppings including sauce and cheese. Weve been coming to this location since they opened but now its like eating a few wet toppings on a burnt cardboard round. Our pizzas from October 2023 were fine, so not sure what happened in the last 2 months, but theyve become extremely stingy/cheap.SAUCE/CHEESEOil/butter and sauce are spread so thin,, its imperceptible and adds no flavor. Mozzarella cheese is sprinkled on - the most they allow is double and its still so sparse theres hardly any overlap and when it melts you can see the individual grated pieces of cheese.VEGGIE/MEATVeggie & meat toppings are also a joke - they grab a few pieces and shred each one so you see tiny little pieces of onion, mushroom, pepper, artichoke, and meat all over but none of it is enough to add actual flavor. Again, the most theyll do is double, but a tablespoon of toppings is not enough when its spread out.CRUST/OVERALL SIZEOverall, the pizza itself is also smaller in diameter, especially evident when its in the box.DRINKS$3.15 for a cup but only 1 out of the 2 fruit/lemonade stands is always empty so you have the limited selections in the soda machine.LIMITED PARTICIPATION IN DEALS/PROMOTIONS:This location selectively participates in the promotions/deals you see on the app or emails, so you might want to call to ask before you show up. YMMVTL;DR:This Whittier location has become so stingy, its a waste of time and money for inedible food. $15 was better spent at Popeyes, In-N-Out, Chipotle, Taco Bell, Raising Canes, or any other nearby fast food place.

Mobile order was easy just go to the pick up window and get it. I came quickly after placing the order so it wasnt quite ready yet.Ordered the Açai berry bowl no banana inside or on top with added peanut butter topping. Requested granola on the side. I like that they replaced banana with the other fruit for the inside when I mark No banana inside. The mobile app doesnt allow you to have notes or comments but I usually ask them when I arrive to be sure. Have to check or youll end up with runny soupy açai bowl! I also said no banana on top but they said they do not sub it with the other fruit that is already included. They only do it for the inside, not top. I guess they leave empty space where the banana would have gone? They should fill in with other fruit. It is a berry bowl so just fill in with the other berries. I still liked my bowl but it turned soupy so fast!Did not get much interaction from staff to rate the customer service but my order was made exactly as requested and came with napkins and utensil in a togo bag. Glad I didnt have to ask for a bag as other locations, you have to. Varies by store. This has now become my 2nd favorite Nekter location! Hopefully, when I do interact with the store staff, it will be pleasant and welcoming!

Finally, a location that fills bowls with the right proportion! I ordered the Açai Banana Berry Bowl with no banana in or on top and granola on the side.My base was extra thick I love it! It was filled to an expected level which is more than what other locations do. Ive been to quite a few locations but I think this one can become a favorite. If theres anything I can suggest, its to fill in bowl toppings with other included fruit if the request is to omit a fruit. I requested no bananas inside and on top but the bowl could have been filled in with extra blueberries and strawberries in place of the banana for toppings. They did make sure the base was covered which is why it was extra thick, nice job!The store is very clean and well kept. The plaza, The Groves, appears to be new. Hope they keep it clean and organized. This looks to be the store that opens the latest. They open until 8pm!! Thanks for being open later!

This restaurant is the reason I wont become a vegetarian! The restaurant is dimly lit, with white tablecloths and napkins. The ambiance has remained the same since my first visit here, in 1983. This restaurant does not disappoint. My favorite is the filet mignon and let me suggest combining the sour cream dressing with a bit of French dressing! Yum! I prefer sitting in the main dinning room and if you arrive around 5:00 pm, seating is not a problem. You can also make reservations. Two thumbs up for quality of food and service!
The Original Pizza Presto

Its hard to find a good pizza place—I mean, one that knocks it out of the park. Rios used to be my jam, but then it took a massive nosedive. Then came The Original Pizza Presto, which has blown any other pizza joint out of the water. The pizza is great, the crust is just right, and the toppings are fresh. Thats the one thing that massively stands out. Yes, the freshness of the toppings matters. If youre going to invest your hard-earned bucks, I would rather spend them here. The staff is fantastic, and they continue to deliver top-notch service. Missing out on Presto is a huge disservice. This is the spot for pizza. Yes, they have more on the menu. The chicken and pasta are awesome, and potato wedges are a must.Ive said my peace, now enjoy a good meal at Prestos.

So first of all full disclosure, my boyfriend and I are east coasters so we came in with high hopes from all the hype people talk about here. Honestly I'm a little disappointed with the taste level of what we ate (double cheeseburger/cheeseburger/fries). If reviewing fully on taste I would say it's pretty average (3/5) because the patty is really thin (I'm a thick patty person) and the fries were very meh, kind of bland and not that crispy. However the vegetables in the burger (lettuce, tomato, onion) definitely tasted fresh which was nice, and the home sauce tasted pretty good. Based on taste of just the classics (burger and fries), I would say it's average at best compared to other chains and burgers I've had. But the customer service was very nice and friendly so I think that raises the restaurant's quality a bit, and apparently the items on the secret menu are supposed to be better (although personally I don't think you should have to order off of a secret menu to taste something good). Overall I probably wouldn't go here again if I had the choice but I suppose if the experience is important to you then by all means go for it.
