Chennai Tiffins
21510 Victory Blvd, Woodland Hills, CA 91367, United States
We came here because it is a vegetarian restaurant, and I really do enjoy Indian food. This place was fantastic, and had great customer service. We had the Samosas, Cheese and Veggie Uthapam, Veg Biryani, Avial, and a Rose Milk. The Samosas were very good, and crisp, and came with delicious sauces--one was a creamy dill/mint sauce, and the other was like a sweet chili. The Veg Biryani is a veggie basmati seasoned, rice and was SO good. It came with raw white onion and a yogurt sauce. The Avial is like a curry, with potatoes, carrots, and peas, and comes with white rice, and was delicious. The Veggie Uthapam is a thick crepe with cheese and veggies, kind of like a pizza, and it comes with 3 different delicious sauces, and a little cup of delicious hot soup. The rose milk is worth trying, but Im not a huge fan of it. The food was so good, and so is the customer service. Well be back:)

The Local Peasant - Woodland Hills Restaurant &...
22901 Ventura Blvd, Woodland Hills, CA 91364, United States
Im reviewing specifically their promise of brunch. We came because we saw an advertisement for delicious looking ricotta pancakes that when we arrived we found out they discontinued. So it started out as a bit of a bummer, but we decided to stay any way.Our server, Jade, was really sweet and so were the runners that helped out. I have no issues with the service, they were helpful people.First, for a place advertising their brunch they dont have decent coffee. Its drip Ive been sitting in the pot for 10 hours coffee. Brown acid. Its not even on the menu to hide their shame, I just had the misfortune of asking if they had coffee. So if youve never been here, they are primarily a bar, which I didnt know. If you want a Bloody Mary youre fine, but avoid the coffee. We ordered chilaquiles and crab cakes Benedict. My partner said the chilaquiles arent saucy at all like youd expect but were still pretty good. The crab cakes Benedict is $21 for hollandaise sauce you cant taste, a decent poached egg, a sweet crab cake the size of a Sacagawea dollar and a hard sourdough puck of bread. Served with a side of sweet pickled peppers pico. It ended up like a sweet appetizer more than breakfast. It came with OBrian potatoes to fill you up I guess. It was just very much not what I expected. So if you want savory this isnt it. If you want something more like civiche this is for you. Though they really should do something about the bread. The atmosphere - typical bar in Cali, high ceiling, open concept, airy so that it sounds a million times louder than it should, and a ton of giant flat screen TVs. Good for a bar, not the best for brunch. Also parking leaves much to be desired, but thats the valley for you.Overall, not terrible, but not great.

The Vegan Joint - Woodland Hills
20855 Ventura Blvd #3, Woodland Hills, CA 91364, United States
THE VEGAN JOINT (Woodland Hills) is plain, simple and delicious. This partially underground location is part of a small chain established by Rattans P, in Culver City (2006). Five years later Rattans opened in Woodland Hills. Downtown LA came in 2015.The mostly organic, vegan menu is a mix of Asian and American comfort foods. I enjoyed my childhood favorite: fried chicken and pancakes. Yes, breaded and fried vegan chicken patties, with a stack of vegan pancakes, all to be smother within soy butter and maple syrup. (Sometimes life is fair.)The (soy) beef and sliced fried potatoes tastes remarkably like mamas Saturday dinner, only hers was made from chuck steak. The vegan Spring Rolls are as good as I remembered from Won Kow, a Chicago Chinese restaurant, my family visited most Sundays, during my childhood. The selection of soups, sandwiches, and wraps, all provide a satisfying, and delicious experience.Drop by on long or bad day. Look at the menu and order anything... anything. You wilI feel better. The alcove, with its ground level view of De Soto Avenue, provides a comfortable separation from lifes cacophony.Servers are knowledgeable and usually friendly. Although, at lunch time, this is a very busy place. Reservations are not accepted. Take-out is available and maybe the better choice.Parking underground is free, easy, and ADA compatible. Enter from Ventura Blvd, turn left (West), and drive under the building and make the first turn left (South) into the under building parking. The well marked restaurant door is on the West wall. Both the patio and indoor seating are wheelchair accessible, as is, the gender neutral bathroom. And yes, they have vegan cakes, cookies, soft drinks, coffee and tea.

Urban Plates
21857 Ventura Blvd, Woodland Hills, CA 91364, United States
I had a truly great experience with the Woodland Hills location of Urban Plates. The place is new and clean with modern decor. Really good prices and Sarah went above and beyond anything required and provided amazing service. She took the time to go item-by-item through the menu as I peppered her with questions about various things I was looking at. She explained the ordering/takeout procedure & told me all the things that people really like and also what is healthiest too, so she saved me a lot of time and her attitude and demeanor were friendly and helpful. The steak was really good and well prepared and you can tell it is organic by the taste. I give it five stars across the board, nothing went wrong with my order at all. They are located in a really convenient and well-kept portion of Ventura Blvd next to a lot of other useful and interesting places as well. There is a nice big lot with effortless parking as well. I definitely plan on ordering again from this place, lockdown or no lockdown. Im looking forward to more locations hopefully popping up elsewhere so I can enjoy their food when Im in other areas. The staff is very helpful to those who havent ordered with them before as well. I cant think of anywhere else in this area where there would be healthier more filling food I encourage others to visit and try the grass-fed steak plate.

Taco Bell
411 Pioneer Ave, Woodland, CA 95776, United States
My wife and I are not much into fast food any longer. But when we are we always choose Taco Bell. We usually get let down in our orders with item(s) made incorrectly or missing altogether. But we dont take it to the level of calling to become a Karen or the mle equivalent of that. Is that a Kevin??Anyways, tonight we ordered on the website and I went to pick it up. There was a rather big group of people ahead of me which pushed my order back but I didnt care. I just sat there and went on IG.I observed the staff in their interactions with the customers in the lobby and were polite and respectful. Which we all know the fast food life can be an thankless job.My food was placed on the pickup rack and on my way I went. When my wife and I finished our meal we both looked at each other and exclaimed our pleasure in what we ate. It was delicious (I know). Our order was made just right and we are both very pleased. So, to the crew working at 6pm on 2.24.24 we thank you.

Ikes Love & Sandwiches
23355 Mulholland Dr Unit A, Woodland Hills, CA 91364, United States
SO GOOD! We were reluctant to try a new dig, but as sandwich fans we knew we had to check it out. The selection is large and super creative so it was hard to choose! We typically get two flavors to share and split halfway - so we got the Adam Richman and the Ménage a troi. Both so different but so delicious! The staff was so nice and helpful in ordering for the first time, and you can tell they got slammed for New Years Day but were killing it. Sandwiches were so yummy. Staff member recommended the Dutch Crunch bread and he's was 100%! correct, so thankful for the guidance! ??

Othellos Plant Based Kitchen
21789 Ventura Blvd, Woodland Hills, CA 91364, United States
I beyond excited that Othellos just opened. I ordered lunch today which was unbelievable. First of all, they offered me a sample of their vegan chili & the vegan meat sauce which were both phenomenal. The girl who helped me was so sweet & super friendly. I ended up ordering the chili vegan cheeseburger on pretzel bread which blew my mind, so delicious. I also ordered the sloppy Joe for my daughter who loved it & a side a mashed potatoes & cole slaw, amazing! I definitely found my new favorite spot. The restaurant is also so comfortable, very cute, really clean, inviting & very welcoming. I also am super happy because Woodland Hills lacks vegan restaurants, so when I saw the coming soon sign, I was very happy. We need a healthy vegan place like this & I look forward to eventually trying everything on menu. One more thing, I also got a strawberry lemonade, it was so refreshing and yummy. I truly had an amazing experience!

Taco Bell
23275 Mulholland Dr, Woodland Hills, CA 91364, United States
This particular location advertises prices on the drive-thru board but are unwilling to honor them. When asked politely and calmly if they can charge the advertised price they said the could not. When I showed them the picture to confirm they said the number with the dollar sign in front of it was the calories, not the price... As far as I can tell this is not legal to do. It would have been nice to have been accommodated for the approximately $0.60 since is the legal, and morally right thing to do. Its also just bad customer service.California Business and Professions Code Sections For sales: 12024.2.(a) It is unlawful for any person, at the time of sale of a commodity, to do any of the following: (1) Charge an amount greater than the price, or to compute an amount greater than a true extension of a price per unit, that is then advertised, posted, marked, displayed, or quoted for that commodity. (2) Charge an amount greater than the lowest price posted on the commodity itself or on a shelf tag that corresponds to the commodity, notwithstanding any limitation of the time period for which the posted price is in effect.A violation of this section is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not less than twenty-five dollars ($25) nor more than one thousand dollars ($1,000), by imprisonment in the county jail for a period not exceeding one year, or by both, if the violation is willful or grossly negligent, or when the overcharge is more than one dollar ($1). (c) A violation of this section is an infraction punishable by a fine of not more than one hundred dollars ($100) when the overcharge is one dollar ($1) or less.

Tomato Patch
19730 Ventura Blvd Stacks, Woodland Hills, CA 91364, United States
The Tomato Patch is a delightful family-ran hole-in-the-wall deli restaurant. Its tucked back in an alcove, out of sight and not very easy to spot unless you know where to look or are using a navigation platform to find it like I did.The four women that are constantly crafting fresh, healthy, delicious dishes are ALL extremely hard-working, friendly, and helpful. They aim to please, but also dont take smut from entitled jerks either. Theyll even cut the crust off of your precious little picky eaters grilled cheese sandwich for you with a genuine smile. I want to add that there is a man (most likely a family member) who is usually hanging around, sitting outside in one of the chairs stopping in periodically to shout at them although I never see him work or offer to help... I digress!Ive been coming here any chance I get since my twin pregnancy when I was craving all the healthy, delicious foods and not finding many quality options nearby. The menu is full of delicious options, although I must recommend the BLT, broccoli soup, and tuna/avocado/egg salad. Patrons who eat in are treated to a tasty sample of their vanilla and chocolate frozen yogurt as well after finishing their meal. Most items were between $8-$14. The half sandwich & half soup-or-salad is a deal at $10!The dining area is very small, likewise are the tables inside and out. I prefer eating outdoors in the courtyard for fresh air and space, although eating inside with all of the tantalizing smells isnt so bad unless you come in a group of 3+. There is also a display/beverage fridge with many options to choose from. The parking lot here is large although its usually packed and the spots are tight if you have a full size SUV. Ive seen a security guard patrolling the complex.Youll need a key to use the buildings restrooms located toward the rear of the complex. The downstairs womens restroom has only one toilet, but there are two toilets upstairs.Thank you ladies for always serving heaven on a plate with a smile! Ill be back.
