EXCELLENT FOOD. OVER 20 YEARS AGO, THE OWNER USED TO HAVE THE OLD SAIGON LOCATED IN THE SAN PABLO SHOPPING CENTER BY THE OLD LUCKYS. OLD SAIGON WAS THE VERY FIRST VIETNAMESE RESTAURANT IN THE SAN PABLO/RICHMOND AREA.

Quite disappointed in this change of hands. Restaurant was absolutely freezing, service was weak. We were charged for absolutely everything-any extra anything-no complimentary jasmine tea likes in most asian restaurants, atmosphere overall was cold and unfriendly. Food was ok but descriptions did not match the dish. I have a feeling the owners are not Vietnamese. Will be going elsewhere for my Vietnamese food. Sad that it changed owners.

Ive been coming here since 1970. The shopping experiences are unique to each store.The Plaza itself has idiosyncrasies that the traffic planer and the architect should have coordinated better on:1. The main road in needs three lanes each direction. One each for left, straight, and right. The clock tower could have been offset on a corner.2. The secondary entry points on the North and South sides have their own problems, some of which would require the neighbors to get over themselves. They bought there, after all.3. The roundabout is ill conceived, mostly due to the bizarre nature of the entry and exit points. It needs directional arrows, at the very least.4. Parking can be weird. There are hold overs from the original format on the South and West sides, while the rest has been reconfigured. Some of the parking encourages the user to cross busy traffic sections without moving to a crosswalk. Not very safe, once youve parked. Use caution..Shopping there can be great. Depends on the store, obviously..Im curious to see if Tesla will open these charging stations to the general user.

It took me a year before I could try this place, but Im sure glad I did. Probably one of the more authentic tasting Chinese restaurants in the area. Save yourself a trip to Berkeley and just come to Yunnan Style. Also hits the spot if you like Vietnamese food like pho and bun.
