Nong L Vietnamese Cafe
145 N La Brea Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90036, United States
There are very few clean and comfortable Vietnamese restaurants. The restaurant is spacious and comfortable, much like dining in a café.Very clean Vietnamese restaurant, located near Hollywood but easy to park! There are usually not many people here, and the waiters are handsome and friendly, and are very attentive when recommending dishes.GOI CUON Spring Roll Shrimp Vietnamese Spring Roll ($8.75)The spring roll skin is made by using rice to make it very thin, but it will not break. It tastes slightly chewy and is wrapped in meaty and chewy sweet shrimps. The nine-story pagoda pandan leaves inside have a rich and tangy flavorThe sweet and sour sauce is very appetizing!!DAC BIET filet mignon, beef balls and pho ($17.5)The size served is what an adult man can eat.A large bowl is good for several meals, the meat is soft and tender, and the beef balls are full of beef flavor. The soup is relatively light, and Dandans chicken broth is very refreshing. You can add your own lemon, and the portion is huge. You will be very full after eating, and you have to take it out to finish it.Overall, the eel is a good deal. The only drawback is that the food is served slowly. It took almost half an hour after I sat down to eat.Awesome vietnamese restaurant ever!!Spacious and bright contrast to others.Quite comfortable as cafe shopServer gave us several suggestions to choose friendly, we really appreciate of it.GOI CUON Spring Roll ($8.75)Im not a spring roll lover, but these rolls are amazing!!Fresh prawns filled with tangy favor of mint & lettuce, giving us good appetite.DAC BIET Pho ($17.5)Super size of Pho, I order two then wrap up for another meal.Filet briskets are so tender, also with some beef balls, rice noodles as the same.Soup is not that salty, so I drink up all.The only cons. is they serve really slow, we wait at least 20 mins to get first dishes, but food will be worth it for waiting.

Nong L Vietnamese Cafe

Ever since Nong Lá opened on the Westside, I was just itching to try the food. Luckily, I have friends that indulge my foodie needs, and we headed to the restaurant for lunch last week. The space was a little cramped but the wait at lunchtime was only about 5 minutes for 2 people. With my first taste of the pho broth & beef meatballs, I knew I would come back here for my Vietnamese food fix. The broth was lighter than most authentic Vietnamese restaurants probably due to the lack of MSG, but it still managed to be flavorful and hearty. Its also a huge bowl of pho, and I couldnt finish all of it (a first!). The bun bo hue was also tasty, but the spiciness level would have ranked in milder on the Scoville Scale than at other Vietnamese restaurants. Try the deep fried egg rolls too, they are crunchy and delicious, and I felt semi-better wrapping it in a huge piece of lettuce before gobbling it up. The only thing I wouldnt recommend is the nem nuong cuon...stick with Brodards for that item. Service was very attentive, but they tend to forget some parts of your orders. I hope Nong Lá sticks around for awhile cuz its the best Vietnamese restaurant on the Westside in my opinion.

Ph 2000 Restaurant
215 N Western Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90004, United States
Not authentic at all…. The 4-star rating is false. Despite being a Vietnamese restaurant, it is operated by Koreans (nothing wrong with Koreans but they’re not Viet!). Bowls of noodles are small, overpriced, soup is not viet style. I ordered a Viet drip coffee and I got a coffee pre-made in a cup! The menu had NO Viet words other than the word “Pho”! Just a horrible experience…. There are plenty of pho restaurants in the L.A. area that would be better than this place without trying.

B - Vietnamese Street Food & Comfort Food
557 N Hoover St, Los Angeles, CA 90004, United States
I almost never leave reviews. This is probably my first in 5 years, BUT this food is incredible. I’m eating it now. Unfortunately, I didn’t take a photo before I started on it, but I ordered the Vietnamese chicken sandwich and the rice noodle salad plate.By far the best Vietnamese food I’ve ever tried!I also got a healthy green drink. Forgot the name, but even that is incredible. Usually when I order from restaurants there is one thing that stands out the most in regards to the flavor, BUT with this it is almost as if each thing I ordered was perfect individually and just as good or probably better all together.Taking the time to write this whole review is probably more of an indication of how much I’m enjoying it lol I don’t do this...I think my total was less than $20 for an incredible meal.To the chef who made my food,Thank youThank youThank you.

Pho Family Restaurant

Pho was very good. No ambiance and bad fluorescent lighting, but the soup was flavorful and hit the spot. Am always a bit suspect when sushi is offered at a Vietnamese restaurant, so did not try it.

Favorite lunch spot in Atwater. Beautiful space, great to dine indoors or outdoors, food is healthy and fresh and delicious. Best of the three Vietnamese restaurants on Glendale Blvd by far. Im an especially big fan of their Bún.

My husband and I love this restaurant! Weve ordered a couple times from Postmates and we have never been disappointed. I love the spicy lemongrass chicken and my husband loves the pork belly and the shaken beef. The shrimp and pork egg rolls are unlike any egg roll over ever had and so delicious. And dont get me started on the sparkling limeade. This place is such a gem. Well be ordering from them forver.

Pho Saigon Pearl
519 S Fairfax Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90036, United States
The food here is good however it is double the price of any other pho noodle place that I have ever been in the city. On my last visit my bill was $18 for a pho beef combo with flank, brisket and meet balls. All of the other pho noodles places I have ever been to in Los Angeles, the price is generally $8 to $11. At this place I was told the build your own pho noodle was $12.95 (which is more expensive than every other place already) but what I didnt know is that they charge you $1-$2 extra for each type of meat u choose. The waitress who suggested that did not mention they charge additional for each meat. So I got three different kinds of meat. Brisket, flank and meatballs. Ultimately the manager did drop the price for me and gave me a $2 discount on the bill for the inconvenience. She explained that if I had chosen the regular beef combo at $12.95 I would have gotten ONE piece of each meat. That is absolutely ridiculous in my opinion to get only one piece of each meat for $13 in a beef combo pho!!! I still ended up paying $16 for a small bowl of beef combo pho. Although the food was good it does not justify being double the price of every other pho place I could have gone to. I will not be going back to this location because they are so expensive!!!

The Sisters Cafe Vietnamese & Asian Fusion (PHO)
5910 Sunset Blvd Unit A, Los Angeles, CA 90028, United States
This restaurant became my favorite, go-to, and highly recommended in Los Angeles now for Vietnamese foods even though theyre Thai owned. Picky Vietnamese born and raised approve of the fantastic taste and authenticity.I LOVED THE BANH XEO (Vietnamese Crepe) 10/10 and must try it. Its delicious, yummy, and crispy, better than the Vietnamese restaurants I tried in Orange County! We also ordered these on the menu1. Appetizer (Dumpling, Spicy chicken wings 8.8/10, Spicy soft shell crab 9.5/10)2. Pho3. Banh xeo Chicken (Vietnamese Crepe) 15-20 mins wait4. Dessert: Mango Sticky Rice (8/10). The mango was quite soft but was good.

Pho Saigon Republic
818 N Spring St, Los Angeles, CA 90012, United States
Theres a reason this place has the best reviews for pho throughout all of La La Land, and it requires a culinary mind to brave what may look like a simple eatery - food first, for the win! If of the mind that quality appointments and lush trappings are any indication of fine fare then this isnt the place for you. Food first is the epitome of Pho Saigon Republic. The seating is simple steel chairs at lackluster tables crowded with dining essentials, napkins and sauces, spoons and chopsticks. A pair of TVs offering tourist-styled views of the far flung Vietnam and Southeast Asia emit modern songs of the region and provide ample atmosphere which adds to the quaint environs. You dont come here for the austere decor, you come here for the food!Spring rolls with a spring to their texture and a translucent quality are an awesome addition, as are the hearty Egg Rolls, both vying for attention. Consider half orders of 2 and save room for more. The many flavors of Pho are simply to die for! Ample basil and beans sprouts are offered as embellishments. Sauces are already at the table to adjust the flavors. Hungry? Add a side of shrimp or ribeye to extend your meal as they are served separately with broth. This dish is always on hand, be prepared to have it served within scant minutes of ordering. My favorite and a rare find is the Shaken Beef, whether with the lighter option of lettuce or the heavier fried Rice. Yes, Pho Saigon Republic has Com Chien Bo Luc Lac (filet mignon!), and the perfection of the cookery makes for perfection of food. While this dish takes time for concocting awesomeness, the wait is worthwhile and its the reason this foody has made dozens of visits to this same foodhall despite the many offerings of China Town writ large. When a meal of Pho and Shaken Beef with appetizers and drinks ( Vietnamese Coffee, canned Coke, Jasmin tea w/ refills) is under $50 and the serving portions are realistic, why go elsewhere?! Trappings aside, there is no better Pho in town.An addendum: the staff are truly top notch and recognize repeat diners, which I imagine is everyone. Their integrity is impeccable, holding lost items for future retrieval, such as sunglasses or hats left behind and thought lost for weeks. If you left some personal effects behind, they will be waiting for your return.Bonus feature: stroll the nearby train depot with its Asian inspired decor and photo opps.Parking Payment Required: metered street parking is recommended but in short supply and a paid parking lot is a hundred feet away, at double the cost ($5), and well worth the LA hassle common to many other eateries.Pho Saigon Republic is deserved of this review having received awesome fare dozens of times in a year. Theres a reason this place is so well reviewed and why Im adding my voice to the choir of supporters. Try them and put them on repeat, add your voice (and review) if you agree. To the staff: Keep up the awesomeness!!
