This Vietnamese restaurant is quite big, but half of this place is open. I’ve been wondering what’s covered on the right portion of this restaurant. Perhaps a private event that’s going to be hosted? There wasn’t many people when I came in probably because it’s past lunch. Not sure though, but the food is good here.I like how they served my Grilled Chicken plate along with the mini Pho. I was full after eating them, which is no wonder why it’s a bit expensive to eat here. I did like one of the staff who helps guide people where to sit and also take their orders. In a way, he is entertaining lolEverything else is good and all, but maybe the place should be renovated so that it fully opens up the whole restaurant and replace lights with better ones, since it’s a bit dark here.

The first time I came here with my wife was by mistake, we were looking for ihop but they had a huge line so we ended up here and I am so glad that we did . This place is amazing and the people who run it are great . Good fresh food, we love their Banh mi sandwich and chicken broth . Their Dalgona coffee is to die for . This is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant . The folks who run it are happy to see you and they serve with love .

Pro:*Good food - The usual suspects at a Vietnamese restaurant*Good bang for your buck*Quick food - Comes out nearly immediatelyCon:*Service could be more attentive - The check usually comes to the table but if they are busy or not checking you need to go to the counter to pay

Indigo Burger

Celiac review: I was so excited about indigo burger because they offered gluten free offerings, but this visit was a mistake. We ordered a cosmic dream bowl, and two different burgers (indigo burger with brioche and Hawaiian burger with gf bun). One burger was gluten free and the other was not. When the burgers arrived, we compared the buns and thought they looked different, so clearly one was gluten free. However, when I bit into my Hawaiian burger on what was SUPPOSED to be a gf bun it was soft, fluffy, and sweet-- not a good sign. When my dining partner bit into what was supposed to be his Indigo burger on brioche bun, he found the bread to taste strange, not like brioche at all. At this point we were coming to the horrifying realization that they may have switched the buns. We asked the cashier/waitress and she said it was the brioche bun, not the gf bun. She asked oh is it a serious allergy or something? I said yes, its celiac and I cant even have items that touch bread, can I please have a replacement? She brought me the replacement in 30 seconds: red flag. The first time around, it took a couple minutes to bring out our food. I checked and lo, it was the exact same contents: they hadnt even given me a new burger, new toppings, anything. Inside was my old burger with the bite taken out of it and the toppings with the bite taken out of it. Hello?? I had just said I am celiac. They had given me back my exact same burger, contaminated with gluten, just on a gluten free bun. Even the sauce on the burger had brioche crumbs in it still. I brought it back to the counter and I notified them of this. The cashier/waitress and cook seemed apathetic, and offered me a complimentary side dish. At that point I was too afraid to get a side dish and hope they wouldnt gluten me after doing so twice. I asked for a refund and to their credit they gave me one. But a huge bummer and now a two-day long stomachache for this???

O Sushi Newark

Quick place to grab some Japanese style food.More often than not they are able to seat you - Ive never been here on a weekend dinner rush though. If youre looking for top service with top Japanese food - this isnt really the place (or the price! Lol) for that, ozumo in SF or Santana Row is my suggestion. My roomies and I normally grab a table and our own orders with some rolls to share. It looks like a vietnamese family bought it - our room mate used to work here.Service reminds me of a Pho restaurant If that makes any sense to you.Cut & dry - menus on the table. Place order. Refill drinks. Pay for the tab.Which Im fine with and is expected for that price range & I love going to Pho places (like Pho VN for you Union City peeps)Just for a comparison of service. We know what to expect and its just fine.I got the dinner set 1/2 rice bowl 1/2 ramen.I got my miso soup and salad first - both good. My udon was a bit small and disappointing but wow the chirashi / sashimi bowl (1/2) was bigger so I feel like I won out on that.My roomies hadFried chickenGyozaYaki UdonVeggie Sushi SetAll fire. Great quick dinner.
