Noodle House
1022 N Davis Rd, Salinas, CA 93907, United States
This is a small chinese, vietnamese restaurant in a strip mall. Very attentive service. There is a lot of selection, very surprising considering the size of the restaurant. I enjoyed my meal very much oh, I did choose Vietnamese food as that is my favorite. The prices are extremely reasonable. I would recommend this place if you are alone or with a group.

I ordered the same dish (Stir-Fried Egg Noodles; Mixed with a combination of meats, beef, pork, chicken, and vegetablesa few days before the last day I went). The stir fried noodles I had ordered a few days before had significantly more meat in it) ..And to my surprise the dish only had a tiny piece of beef it was about 1 inch big, and one tiny piece of the pork and chicken. I asked the employee why the dish only have a tiny piece of beef and mentioned that I had gotten the same dish before; he said that it now comes like that. The other dish I bought was the chicken and shrimp udon soup and it only came with 1 shrimp cut in half. Regarding the shrimp in the udon soup, he also said it comes with that one shrimp cut in half. Im not a big fan of meat but I also didnt expect those tiny amounts. If I had known, Id just buy an udon soup with no meat and noodles with no meat. The total came up to $36.16 (stir fried egg noodles with 3 meats, chicken and shrimp udon soup, and 1 lemonade)...just a note to anyone that wants to go waste almost 40 bucks on food that is not up to par for quantity. Also, I gave 2 stars because the staff wasnt rude and because the food itself wasnt nasty tasting.
Pho 1 Noodle House

I came here because it was recommended to me. I have been to other Pho places, locally, and was told it would be a good place to visit for lunch or dinner. The menu is very clear, and easy to read. It displays photos of prominent menu items as well as listing prices, making dinner selections easy. Since we had just had lunch at Ikes, we opted for takeout.I have to say, the Pho broth is the best Ive eaten. I learned from kitchen staff, that they simmer the broth for hours to get the delicious and desired flavors. Since their broth is the backbone of their soups (pho), they go the extra mile to make sure their pho has the best flavor around. It is no wonder, that this restaurant is a rapidly growing place, fast becoming a favorite for locals. The inside is what you might expect from a pho restaurant, but with a splash of panache--it seems that the owners had a talented artist paint two scenes for diners to enjoy, as well as the food. The food is wonderful, the ambiance tasteful, and staff, friendly and helpful. While the outside is unpresuming, the inside is far from that. I will, undoubtedly return, here, when I am back in town.
Saigon Noodles

Salinas only had one Vietnamese restaurant and it wasn’t all that good, and then God listened to my prayers! And Saigon Noodles opened! At first I thought it was never going to open! They had the coming soon sign for ever! Then one day I passed by and it was open! Great beautiful people working there, met the owners who happened to be wonderful. This restaurant is just like the ones in San Jose! Really great tasting food!I am a pho enthusiast! I love it from the first time I ever tried it more than 30 years ago, you get a huge plate full of noodles with mystery meats (I had no idea what they were at the time, now I know) and it all tastes great! They have a seafood pho! It’s fantastic one of my favorites! This is a must! You have to try the avocado smoothie! By itself is really good but they also add this thing called buba (!?!?) is like little bubbles of culinary heaven, they have the dark ones and the white ones, they are all great! It is family owned, be nice to them, be patient, they do tend to get busy and you will be treated like royalty! From the cook in the back the person collecting the dishes to the wait staff, they are all fantastic and friendly and determined to make sure that you have an incredible experience.
Mr. Noodles

Really impressive food.My wife had chicken pho, which was tasty with plenty of broth and all the fixings.I had the lemongrass chicken on rice noodles. The chicken was cooked just right and the sauce added to the noodles is just the right about it spice. My son had vegetable fried rice. Hes a little picky at three, so he picked out the bok choy, but I liked it. The rice had a little crisp to it and tasted like comfort food. Ill have it for lunch tomorrow. We also had the pork spring rolls. The meat was BBQ pork and still hot. Ive been to places before that give you cold lunch meat inside. This was definitely not that.We have been to a lot of Vietnamese restaurants across the central valley and into the bay area, and in Orange County. This was among our favorite. The place was busy and they were short staffed, but everyone was humming right along. We will definitely be back.

Weirdly pan-Asian menu for a place called Sushi Hut: Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Hawaiian, as well as Japanese. Was really skeptical but drove all the way out because of the red bean buns which they sadly dont have anymore.Lots of odd, non-authentic offerings like ha gau soup and deep fried ha gau.Frying the skins ruined the ha gao imho, but the insides were good, with whole shrimp in the filling, not a fish ball with shrimp pieces, though the insides were bland and underseasoned.Part of the appeal of ha gao is the sticky, chewy skin, so deep-frying them ruined them texturally. I think if they were pan-fried so you had both crunchy and chewy textures it would have been tastier and more successful. Also I missed not having red vinegar for them. The gyoza/mandoo sauce they give you does not go with seafood imho. They also have a market with snack-y items, making it resemble a Lees Sandwiches more than a takeout joint. They were stocked with 8 out of 10 Sailor Moon Ocean Bomb flavors (Pluto and Saturn are hard to find still) and a decent cross-section of Dragon Ball Z Ocean Bombs. It was still hopping half an hour before closing and parking was tight.Would try again if ever in the area again.
Thanh Loi Noodles

I usually love coming here for to-go, but today I was very disappointed. I accidentally ordered #1 but I wasnt wearing my glasses, and quickly told the lady I actually meant that I wanted to order #7 within less than a minute. The lady ignored me and threw a fit, turned to finish making someones drink while yelling, and making her drink with so much anger. Throwing ice in the blender, etc. I was standing there in shock and while she finally let me pay she started to press the numbers on her calculator while yelling once again. They only had 3 tables, so I dont think it was necessary of her to be stressed or take it out on me. I thought i mightve been overexaggerating but her face said otherwise. I dont think Ill be coming anytime soon and I am saddened to have felt so uncomfortable for simply ordering the wrong thing.Dont get me wrong, the other times Ive came here her other coworkers are always nice.
