Asian BBQ & Pho Restaurant
3710 S Mooney Blvd, Visalia, CA 93277, United States
Food is good. Service is a little slow at times no biggie.Rude on the phone. I called to ask their hours if they were open since last year they had posted on social media they were closed from November 24-28 for the Thanksgiving holiday so just wanted to check before going in just incase they decided to close again this year. The person that answered on the phone sound irrated because she was trying to make a call and tried to hang up because since they had already hanged up on me when I called earlier. She asked me in a rude tone, Are you trying to place an order!I replied No, but are you open tomorrow? If so, from what time to what time? She replied with an attitude, You can check onlineSorry, you were trying to call someone by the name of Johnathan (it sounded like she picked up the phone try to hang up on me and then started to dial a number and asked for Johnathan while I called on the phone at the same time) and I interrupted by calling the restaurant. How hard is it to say your hours? Sometimes hours are not always correct online, so I like to check by calling.

New Vietnamese restaurant in Visalia that just opened today! Really great food, good portions and excellent service. We ordered the house pho and a vermicelli dish and they were so tasty. Vietnamese coffee is $6.50 and it was delicious. We will definitely be returning :)

BANH-Tastic

I tried this place out, my sisters loved it and wanted me to go check it out, too.For the banh mi the bread was great, it tastes fresh and it's toasted well (even though I prefer it a little crunchier.) All ingredients tasted fresh and meat was juicy. I wish it had a little bit more of meat and veggies. The beef skewers were good and came with a cool green cilantro sauce. The rice is plain steamed white rice (not sticky rice). The fried pork balls have a sweet sauce on top and they give you a side of it as well, that was a little dry but it was okay.I didn't show pictures of the drinks we had but we had regular milk tea and two fruit teas that were delicious!! I also forgot to picture an ube cheesecake bite and that was so good, too! I want to come back and try the salad they have.I was hesitant to buy here because it was about $10 for a sandwich and $8 for a salad BUT I know prices are going up and these ingredients are so fresh I want to say it's worth it.I wasn't too impressed with the prepackaged stuff in the warmer on the counter but I was impressed with the food and drinks made.I will be coming back! ?

Really interesting menu. My friends brought me here late at night. I actually got the Matcha milk tea with boba. I really liked it! Good texture, soft and chewy. Their regular poke was also good with 3 proteins (you can build your own bowl that has a good selection of toppings and sauces). Id like to try more of the menu when I come again.

Zen Asian Diner
3233 W Noble Ave, Visalia, CA 93277, United States
Delicious!! We came here at the suggestion of our hotels front desk person and were pleasantly surprised! We ordered orange chicken, which came in perfectly fried bite-sized pieces, all tender and none chewy, as well as the BBQ chowmein which tasted better than it looked (packed with flavor and fresh veggies, noodles the perfect texture), and the fried shrimp (absolutely spot on). The service was excellent and the host/server took several calls throughout our stay which only confirmed how great this place is, definitely popular! The hostess got a call from a completely unreasonable customer and was incredibly professional, kind, and as accommodating as possible the whole time, but the woman still vowed to never return. Honestly, that persons loss because if we lived here, wed be back every weekend, it was just THAT good! Plus, rude people dont deserve such good food and great service! Thank you Zen!

Pho n Seafood
924 N Court St, Visalia, CA 93291, United States
Can’t imagine this was a genuine and authentic Vietnamese food! The fried rice was made with frozen veggies mix coming directly from a bag bought at the supermarket. And these veggies were heavily fried in garlic. The pho came in two containers and we weren’t warned one of them was with a RAW beef meat! We have never gotten served a pho before with a raw beef. The only time I have eaten a soup and I was supposed to put my raw meat in it was at a Hot Pot place - a Chinese speciality restaurant.I was charged extra for changing my boiled rice with fried rice, however, I never wished nor expected to be served brownish deeply fried rice with a veggie mix. The waiting time was another pain - more than 30min for a takeaway. Very popular joint with the Latino community of Visalia. At first, we didn’t realize it was a Vietnamese restaurant as 99% of the guests were non-Vietnamese. Not extremely expensive and the portions are large, but not the quality. Be ready for heavily seasoned in garlic food.P.S. the spring rolls do NOT come with a peanut sauce (typically served with Vietnamese fresh spring rolls).

Davorns Place
400 N Willis St, Visalia, CA 93291, United States
I really love Thai and Vietnamese food, and Visalia has an abundance of places to try. So its quite the statement when I say that Davorns has the best pho in the city so far. Its really quite delicious. As of right now, I believe its still only take-out, which does change the quality of the pho just a bit. However, when you can get it in-restaurant and have it made to order, it is just the bomb. They also have a wide variety of amazing sushi! I dont usually come to a Thai restaurant for sushi, but whenever I order it, it hits the spot! There is ample seating inside so most wait times arent that long, which I appreciate. This is definitely a favorite of mine, and I love coming back frequently! I highly recommend coming here to anyone who is searching for some good Thai/Vietnamese/Laotian food.

I have been once for a donut and the parking lot is small and cramped. The lines can be long because visalia doesnt have alot of or any other comparative places that similar food and drinks. The modern vibes of this place is fine but nothing exciting. The donuts are good of course, donuts are good in general I think ?. The thing I wanted to talk about was their Korean corndogs. No where esle in visalia can you find a Korean corndog and they are so good. I had them back at this great place in LA, so I was excited to see them offer them. We got two and they were $10-$11 dollars EACH. 10 dollars for a deep fried hotdog with cheese. Not cheap compared to the other places I have tried out side of the valley. I bought them anyway because I wanted to try it once. We bought two, one with cheese and a hot dog, one with out cheese, both with spicy mayo on top. So these are Definitely not worth the price if you dont pay extra for the cheese, in my opinion the cheese is what makes the Korean corn dog. I would like to note that these were slightly disappointing not only in price but also with the cheese quality. Other k.cs I have had the cheese is melty in the inside and pulls apart like when you pull apart a slice of cheese pizza, but with these the batter was still hot so it wasnt a temperature issue, the cheese wasnt melty and was kinda hard and stiff like they left in the freezer to long. Over all Im not super impressed with this place, the prices, or the quality. I wish we had more places like this in the valley so there was some competition. Also its worth it to note the spicy mayo gave my skin an allergic reaction and I had small burns around my mouth, I have never had that happen before with any spicy mayo so thought I would mention that here.
